Born out of our love of fine wines and delicious food, Dock of the Bay - Gravenhurst has become the premiere location for casual dining in Muskoka. After traveling the world and sampling different cuisines, we decided to make our way back home and bring the world to us.

Chef Darren serves gourmet meals prepared with only the freshest produce. We ensure the quality of our dishes with the quality of our ingredients.

Our biggest challenge was finding the right, high-quality ingredients for the dishes we wanted to serve. We are dedicated to offering only the finest and freshest foods. We have also taken great care in assembling a team of only the best chefs, experienced kitchen and servers.

Great food. Miles our waiter was excellent and very attentive to our needs. Found it to be a little pricey but seating was good and the ambiance and great food were worth the price.

Expensive meal on the dock with a decent view. Roasted pork with Kung Pao sauce was disappointing. This was not Kung Pao sauce and had absolutely no flavour.

We had a lovely meal last night. The calamari wasn’t to our standard and the waiter graciously took it back. He was a gem throughout the meal. I had mentioned on my booking that it was my husband’s birthday but nothing was mentioned. The meal was very good! The view is always great overlooking the water. We have been there previously and would go back again!

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff! I wish we were placed somewhere with a better view of the water but that didn’t take away too much from our experience. Food was amazing!

Wonderful meal with close friends. We recommended your restaurant and you did not disappoint. The service was attentive, prompt and professional. Food was outstanding. Many of us had the pan seared Halibut, ' blackened ' and it was tremendous. The other entrees were all equally well received. Of course the setting is perfect. Truly is the nicest patio in the Muskoka's. Thank you !!

This was the fourth time I’ve visited this summer. As always, the food was wonderful as was the service. The owner and his family look over everything along with great staff. A dinner on the balcony overlooking a beautiful sunset on Lake Muskoka, is matched with terrific food, that looks as good as it tastes. Thanks again for another amazing evening.

We loved our experience! Our server Ben was wonderful and very thoughtful. The warm blanket later in the evening when the weather turned cool was a very sweet touch! Our dinner was lovely and the view is stunning. We will be back again and again.

Great location on the bay and its nice sitting outside watching the water and the sun go down. It wasn't as busy as we had anticipated for a Saturday Labour Day weekend. We started with bruschetta which was really good. One of us had the spaghetti with shrimp and scallops and was very pleased. I had the penne paglia asiago which is smoked salmon with the pasta. Quite frankly I'm not sure why this is on the menu. The sauce was watery and all you could taste was the smoked salmon. Very disappointing. Should have had the prime rib which looked really good.

Love Dock of the Bay! We've been there many times for our summer patio visit and its always very good! Last night's dinner was no exception! A beautiful feature scallop appetizer was particularly delicious!! A yummy Caesar salad and the Dock of the Bay steak slider. The service was wonderful too! All that, and a gorgeous view of the Muskoka waterfront! You can't beat that!

I was celebrating my birthday with my sister. The service was excellent, the food wonderful (loved the grilled calamari) and my sister said that her martini was the best she has ever had! I loved my Cosmopolitan and the key lime pie was wonderful. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

We were only diners seated not under cover with cloudy skies and possible rain. When rain came refused to seat us in any of the empty tables that were under cover. We were forced to go inside. Not what we booked! Food was rushed out with main coming out before appetizer was done. We tried to order main later but was told by waitress she would space it but did not. Manager reluctant to compensate us appropriately even though he admitted host did not seat us where we should of been

Our service was some of the best we’ve experienced. Our date went perfect-our seating was directly waterside, our waiter took absolute care of us, and the light music was - great touch to drown out other people’s conversation. Regret not getting desert. Highly recommended!

Three out of four meals were excellent (shrimp andscallop). Rib eye (only ordered because there was no prime rib) ….while flavour was good,texture was not.

We ate here the end of June 2023 and raved about the shrimp and scallop pasta. Came last night Aug 16 2023 and I ordered the same dish. Very disappointing. The shrimp and scallops were half the size and the quantity was at least a third of last time. Other than that had the same server and his service was great.

If you want to eat on the dock in Gravenhurst then this is the place. The servers are excellent. The portion size is large. The salmon was very good and we recommend it if you like salmon. Sitting on the open air patio enjoying our meal while looking out at the lake...priceless.
