   Terrific "boozy brunch"! Great food and drinks at an acceptable price! Staff was very attentive and at no time thought "they're not coming by to avoid having to fill glasses" during an "open bar" period.

   Came for dinner but was early and had a chance to enjoy a little happy hour ahead of time. Oldies Old Fashioned was fantastic as were the pork bao buns— so much so that we had to have another order after being seated for our reservation. Great vibe and super convenient location to theaters. Was our first time, but may not be the last as long as they keep that Old Fashioned on their list

   My wife and I had our 10th anniversary brunch at Dolly Varden. The food was delicious! The staff was attentive and courteous. Yes, I would absolutely recommend to a friend.

   Dolly Varden has a variety of options for those with food intolerance or preferences. Everything was presented well, with small details and flavorful, including cocktails. Outdoor seating is a bit cold and unpleasant. Downstairs is noisy and dark. Upstairs dining is probably the better option. The hostess was clearly struggling with the influx of diners and things like keeping the bathroom tify fell short. The waitstaff was attentive and helpful.

   Quick service and delicious food. It has a limited food menu but an extensive drink menu. It has a light speakeasy vibe that is offset by some period piece figurines that are more from the 1800s (Fancy women). I would recommend to anyone in the area!

    We made a reservation for a 10:30 Sunday brunch. We were originally a group of four but had a last minute addition, which DV kindly accommodated. Highly advise making reservations for brunch and making sure you all arrive on time; being able to make a brunch reservation for a busy restaurant in a busy neighborhood is a plus. My kids shared the captain crunch French toast, which they were in heaven with, but I think fresh cream would have been better than ice cream, which turned the dish a bit soupy. Our server (Caitlyn) said we ordered her three favorite dishes - the steak and eggs, chicken and waffle, and short rib baguette. Steak and eggs plate looked a little overwhelming but the guest loved it. I enjoyed the chicken and waffle but wish the waffle had been a bit crispier and had come with butter instead of the cheese spread (?). Guest who ordered the short rib, said it was incredible. I would say it’s child-friendly but not child-oriented. It’s a surprisingly big space upstairs with a nice mix of seating options and areas, and I suspect they seated us in a back room intentionally, but that was fine. It would have been nice to have kid-friendly cups. This is a reliable and trendy space. I’d return with girlfriends, on a date night, maybe even bring my parents.

    The service was terrible. We waited over an hour for our food and our waitress was no where to be found most of the time. The food was pricey for a meal that was…mid at best. The speakers were blaring so loud we could barely hear each other across the table. Overall not worth it

    Food was great and fast, but noise level was extremely loud for 6pm in the evening and our booking was double booked so we were left 30 mins waiting before being offered outside in the freezing weather and then being seated in a different area

    The food was great. The drinks were good as well. I had the mimosa tree! Love that! And the dj was fire! She played really good music. And the place itself was clean and very put together! Love it. Will be back!

    The drinks were amazing! The gnocchi was subpar and worth the money. The kale salad was delicious and came in a huge portion. The Thai wings were delicious but had a fishy smell. The customer service was stellar. The ambience was great, very social media friendly. Take note of the drinks only for outdoor seating so you will not be disappointed.

    Went here during brunch hours and was kindly greeted at the door and seated promptly. Our server Manny was very nice and polite. We ordered some Sangrias to start and for our meal we shared the Thai Wings, Captain Crunch Toast Crunch and Truffle Fries. This combo hit the spot! Flavors are amazing and if we are ever in the city this will be our go to spot for sure! We will be back!

    I took my partner there for his birthday. We both enjoyed our dining experience and appreciated how the staff treated us. Everything was good, the cocktails I found to be exceptional, the entrées were OK, the service was wonderful and attentive, and the ambience was mildly quiet, and they set us in a part of the restaurant where we could have a nice conversation without shouting. I’d be happy to return and recommend it .

    Came into the city to see wicked and this place is right next to theatre. Super cute. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Food was awesome! Wings were yummy! Short ribs sandwich was so delicious. Smokehouse cocktail was probably one of the best mezcal drinks I’ve had (thanks to server recommendation). Will be back for sure!

    Went during happy hour because we saw oysters on the online menus, however our server told us they didn't actually count. We ended up getting them anyway, alongside two drinks which were cute and tasted good but not mind blowing. Our table was also kind of at an awkward spot and cramped with other couples. Overall not a bad experience but nothing stand-out.

    The food was ok. We shared the fried artichokes which were tasty though not crispy, but the portion was plentiful. My husband enjoyed the duck. I had the kale salad with grilled salmon, which was tasty and huge but way overdressed, and I had some digestive issues several hours later, causing me to wonder if the kale had been properly washed. The pavlova was ok but way too sweet. The crianza by the glass was fine. Note to waiters: if there are still a few chips on the plate, please ask if we're done before you remove it.

    My friends and I went here for dinner, our Server took forever to even take our order, never check up on us once, when we called him over to place another order, he told us the kitchen was closed, it would have been if he asked us if we wanted to order anything else before the the kitchen was closing but no. Food was okay.

    Although the place is only a block from where I live, I'd not been there before. It's definitely a scene for a young crowd--the generation(s) who will be deaf in the future. The Sunday brunch noise level was painful on the ground floor, better upstairs. Food o.k. but nothing special. Lovely server and bartender. If you're over 25 and have an aversion to noise, as this middle-aged guy does, go elsewhere.
