Donna’s is an all-day restaurant that starts off with breakfast sandwiches then transitions to lunch with a menu of sandwiches, salads, & small dishes. For dinner, the focus is on shared, family-style plates with a diverse influence of seasonal offerings. To accompany the food, we offer a wide array of beverage offerings, from natural wine, to cocktails & local beers. We accept reservations & walk-ins.                                     We love Donna’s! Food was excellent and lots of spring touches from ramps to rhubarb. The one thing we struggled with was the noise level. We were there on a Tuesday night and the place was packed with a large group in the back. This impacted the noise and slightly impacted the service level for us. Excited they are doing well but noise was a challenge.

                                    Donna's is definitely an unassuming neighbourhood gem. It has been on our list of places to try for a while now, and we happened to find ourselves at the Dufferin Mall and thought we'd take the opportunity. We were greeted promptly, welcomed in and shown to our table. It was pretty early in the evening, but already busy, which is generally a good sign. The decor is not overly formal, but still engaging, with the walls covered in local art for sale. The menu is compact, and from what we could tell, seems to be based on the principle of 'do a few things really well'. We had steak and fishcake. Both were executed really well, looked good on the plate and had a great balance of complementary flavours and textures. The chef had obviously really thought through the dishes. We finished up with dessert, which was as delicious as the main course. We will definitely be returning.

                                    “Today we went as a family and tried this restaurant, which has a small menu, but I must say their sandwiches and salads were very good. We especially loved the bread — crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We will definitely be coming back to try more of their salads next time.”

                                    Cute spot. tables very close together. So much so that you can easily overhear neighbouring conversations. All hard spaces - so very loud. Food was very nice tho asked for salad dressing on the side and salad came (over) dressed. Very well patronized - so there was a good feel to the place but would be better if they added some noise absorption. Menu limited but good choices.
