Don’s Pomeroy House is a beautiful 167 year old historical landmark.The service is warm and truly friendly. We have an approachable, quality wine list. The fresh menu selections feature pristine Seafood along with USDA Steaks and Chops which are regarded as some of the finest in Northeast Ohio. This is the perfect place to dine and relax, entertain business or enjoy any special occasion. We offer several private dining options. There is also a lively pub, drawing a crowd where the atmosphere is casual and practically everyone knows your name. During the warmer months, alfresco dining under our canopy of trees is simply one of a kind. Please note, The Pub and The Patio do not accept reservations and are seated on a first come first serve basis. The Patio is non-smoking. Everything was very nice except the food was very average. The crab cakes were overdone and the scallops were not fresh (actually starting to turn bad). The calamari, salads and desserts were very good. I might recommend this restaurant as I have had good meals there too. Never outstanding meals but good meals.

The service and food were beyond expectations. Our server Jeff was attentive and very efficient. The room was noisy at first with a group of seven people close by but once they were served their food the room chatter subsided. The remainder of the evening was everything we expected. We will be back. Don’s has always been our #1 choice for fine dining.

This restaurant is one of our local favorites. My last review was straight five stars. The singular reason for a lies than perfect review is due to a very popular menu item, the amazing short rib, not available on a Saturday evening at 5:15p. I can understand running out of short rib at 9p, but not at 5:15p. Everything else about our experience was fantastic. Our waitress took out kidding about the short rib really well and provided outstanding service. I hope we’ll have better luck on our next visit as there short rib is likely the best I’ve ever had.

Always a wonderful place to have a festive evening dinner with friends, family or that special someone. For years I was a loyal customer but moved out of the area. This was my first trip back to Don's Pomeroy in a year and it's still on top! Excellent food, and service!

Service was amazing. The sever anticipated our needs and was very helpful and charming. We ordered the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer and they were great. The bread was warm and soft with a crispy crust. I had the Faroe Island Salmon that was like butter. Steaks others ordered were done to perfection. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely dinner at the Pomeroy house tonight. We were celebrating my husband’s 77th birthday and the evening was perfect! The food was excellent, the service was spot-on and it was a true superb dining experience!!

Had never been to Pomeroy House, but took my bride there for our 32nd Anniversary. Our reservations were for 6PM on a Thursday. We were seated early (upstairs), lighting was good, and the noise level was very low. Service was exceptional and kind. My medium rare, charred ribeye was exceptional, with a black garlic cream, and my wife's scallops were also prepared very well. We also had their Pomeroy Salad. It was the most expensive meal I have ever paid for, so it won't happen frequently, but I am glad for our experience. I strongly recommend this restaurant (for those that can afford $170 for two plates, two salads, and a soda).

We did not appreciate being greeted by the backside of the host when we arrived.and he was pretty stiff on first contact. Our server was excellent but the water girl was very klutzy and loud. I really appreciated the waitress warning me about the red chili flakes in the short rib and my steak was great.we were surprised that nobody was in the pub downstairs when we were done. We wanted to watch the end of the Buckeyes game.I’ve been coming to this restaurant since the 80’s. We’ll be back again!

The experience was amazing on our date night. Our waitress was great. Our drinks were always full. We had calamari for appetizer which was delicious. We both had the surf and turf that did not disappoint. The mood was romantic with dimmed lighting and a small candlelight centerpiece. Overall experience was excellent and highly recommend.

Tammie was AWESOME, food was very good. Dining room was like dining at a country club. Unfortunate tables by the kitchen make us ask, is there a way to request a table? We are going to be back just because of Tammie and we of course have already suggested the Pomeroy House to friends.

The room was small and cramped with 5 tables. It was so quiet we could barely talk to each other, the server wanted to bring our dinner and apps out at the same time, and the steak was below avg.

We went here to celebrate our friend's birthday. It is her favorite restaurant but a little far from where we live. The 4 of us really enjoyed our lunch. It was a little noisy with a big group right beside us but it didn't take away from the atmosphere. My friend and I had the salmon and it was excellent. The other 2 had quiche with salad which was very good too. The service was great!

Food was excellent but the service was not good at all. All the way from the maiter d to the server. The server was definitely less than stellar and barely came around. We were at the restaurant for over an hour and a half just for an appetizer and two meals. I put a birthday request in the reservations and they had no idea. I reminded them when i got to the restaurant and they still failed to remember to do anything they said they would. Its gonna make going back kind of hard to do.

Sat near fireplace, atmosphere warm and cozy, server Tammy absolutely stellar, so pleasant and attentive. Wanted to shrink her down and carry her home in my shirt pocket. Food was excellent. Went for anniverseray lunch, had walleye special with grilled brussel spouts and sweet potatos, my husband had fish market salad substituted salmon for the shrimp. Soooo good. I don't know how they make the salad dressings and sauces taste so good. Love the atmosphere and can't wait for our next special occassion to celebrate there again! Thank you to all the staff who do such hard excellent work, day in and day out; you have no idea how much your skills are appreciated!
