This journey continued when I moved to Calgary, inspired by my father I continued working in the restaurant industry. His legacy and my exposure to the diverse food culture in the city helped shape the concept of D.O.P. Being a second generation Canadian I want to honour both my Italian roots and Canadian upbringing by sharing our families’ recipes and adapting them to our Canadian landscape.
We are privileged to share with you the time-old traditions and memories of a family whose passion for Italian cooking created a legacy.

Enjoyed dinner here and it was fantastic. Food was amazing, neo-traditional Italian, wine list was extensive and delicious and the service was very attentive.
Received great suggestions for pairings and stand outs on the menu as well and can easily say we'll be back soon.
Loved the recommendations and the overall ambiance!
Great food and great service. The bartender made me some non-alcoholic cocktails which were awesome, my husbands negronis were the best he has ever had. The whipped ricotta and bread is out of this world. And the music playing was awesome. Great vibe!
Second time at D.O.P. Again it was a phenomenal experience. The food coming out of the kitchen truly is superior quality, the house wine is superb and the staff attentiveness is just perfect.
Because it is a small space, it did get HOT which is easily solved by wearing a T-shirt.
Our experience was overall excellent, the food, service and value was all very good. Well done..
Good place with good food and a good wine list. Nothing here blew us away but was simply satisfactory. I dont think the value for what we got was worth it. If I were to go back I would stick to the PRIMI as it was great and better then the mains.
Absolutely fabulous food. The veal chop was phenomenal. Pasta was perfectly cooked. Overall flavours were just amazing!
Tony and Sandro are killing it. My third time here and food was amazing. Get the Anchovies, Ricotta and bread and Veal Milanese.
Dinner was amazing as was the service. Already taking about our next visit. We will let our friends know they have to come try you out.
Amazing food!! Amazing service!! What a great night out!!!
It was fantastic! Second time there and it was even better than the first outstanding time!
Incredible service, wine, and food.
We'll be back.
Amazing food, staff, and atmosphere!
The best Italian food in the city and overall, it was an incredible experience!! Highly recommend!
D.O.P. does not respect clientele who are conscientious of Covid. Half the staff including cooks, servers and bartenders were not masked. Too many people in a small space and you had to yell to be heard across the table. Decent food but overall not worth it. Lousy dining experience
We loved it, we wanted to lick the plates it was so good, we will go back for more
D.O.P. is small but has nice ambience. Unfortunately we felt very rushed by our server throughout our meal. The dishes, while at times creative (burrata with peppers), more often than not lacked flavour (eggplant) or were expensive but not large enough to share (cavatelli). Owner Tony who seated us never returned to ask about our meal. Disappointing!
First time going and it was fantastic. Priya was amazing as always, excellent food recommendations, great wine pairing, and awesome company. Will go back soon
Went with my mom for dinner while she was in town. The server went above and beyond, had great recommendations and it was some of the best service I’ve had in Calgary.
Appetizers: grilled bread, marinated grilled eggplant & whipped ricotta. The combination of the 3 was excellent! The bread was light and fluffy, the olive oil on the whipped ricotta was great and the eggplant had so much flavour and wasn’t too mushy in texture.
Mains: Raviolo w/ red wine butter sauce & the Tajarin w/ guanciale & burrata. I’ve never had anything like the Raviolo before. It was an experience on it’s own. Hasn’t looked at the Instagram pictures before dining and was shocked at how large it is. The Tajarin was also very good, had lots of garlicky, chili goodness but the Raviolo was my favourite of the two.
Desserts: We had both desserts - the amaretto poached plums & the fior di latte gelato. The poached plums were great but I will definitely go back again just because of the gelato dish. It was incredible and I highly recommend not skipping dessert if the gelato is being served.
Absolutely killer addition to 1st street. Great wine list with plenty of value options as well as a deadly reserve list. The food was equal parts decadent and fresh, a perfect way to indulge. Service was super friendly - their whole staff was hilarious and high energy. Go here.
Great experience front to back. 100% this is genuine Italian cuisine. No messing around . Our server was lovely! Didn't get her name - tall with long dark hair. We will definitely be back 🍝
DOP is easily the best new restaurant in Calgary, and I don’t say that lightly! It’s simple food done incredibly well with top quality ingredients. Each dish we had was amazing, zero complaints. The server there (brunette female whose name I never got!) is SO lovely. She was funny, straight-up, and attentive - she even gave us an extra loaf of bread to take home with our leftovers, and if you’ve had their bread you know it’s basically a brick of gold. The ambiance is great and really good music. Can’t wait to go again!!
Maybe the best bread I've had. The raviolo is SO good (very deserving of the hype) and the cocktails were great.
Great food, great service, a little loud but that was due to such good food and drink.
Food and service was great, but was disappointed to learn that you have to preorder the raviolo before arriving.
Hello Sheena, We do not allow guests to pre order the Raviolo, its on a first come first serve basis . We make 26 handmade Raviolo a day, sometimes we have enough for the whole night and other days they run out fast. Cheers,
Great place and we got the special tonight gnocchi truffle in cream sauce - always a great place to have dinner!!! Can not wait till next time!!!
Such a fun restaurant! The vibe is so lively and exciting. The ricotta was sublime, bread and oil delicious, and all of the antipasti fantastic. Loved the feel of the place, can’t wait to come back.
We ordered a variety of dishes and found all too salty. The steak was disappointing, it was tough, tasteless and but overcooked.
We apologize for the salt level and steak, we are always looking at feedback and striving to be better. Please contact me if decide to give us another chance.
It is evident how much care and passion goes into your dining experience as soon as you’re greeted at D.O.P.’s door. The atmosphere is cozy and casual, the staff are knowledgeable and very accommodating, and the food…the food…dreamy.
Lively yet intimate setting! YOU MUST TRY THE BREAD. Will be back for sure (they have natural wine too!).
Soooooo good! There was a mishap with what we ordered but they handled it swiftly and with grace. The food was 10/10 and the service was amazing. We will be returning!
Incredible food and hosts.
Amazing experience with the staff and food. Must try!
Amazing. Common, this place rocks
The food and service were outstanding! Can’t wait to go back.
Most amazing atmosphere and best Italian food you will ever eat. A must to try. Tony the owner is an amazing host and his family recipes are unbelievable
Delicious meal. Favourites were the pasta dishes.
