Cashew mozzarella, quinoa, beans, onions, marinara
Best vegan pizza we've ever had! So tasty, full of flavour, crispy and just delicious! The staff is very friendly, and turnaround time to get our pizza was quick. Portions are big, the dessert big enough to share with 2. Would recommend to anyone and will come back again. Thanks team Double Zero!
The food and service were spectacular
Amazing food and service from Brittany. Can't wait to try Bar Verde next door.
I do not regret trying it but I did not love the food unfortunately. I expected a reasonable substitute for real pizza but it was not comparable to pizza by any means except for the crust.
Best Pizza in the world ever! The dough was out of this world.
We were in a hurry and the service got us in and out of there with a great meal in between. Well done!
Best avocado toast I've ever had. Beautifully presented as well.
Interesting food , good quality
But cold air from entrance door wasn’t pleasant
And would prefer a back on the seating stools .
Food was good. Different from my normal taste As I don’t normally eat vegan food. However, I’ve come to realize that vegan food is not that bad depending on where you go.
Delicious pizzas and pastas, great wine list and fun cocktails. This was my first time in and first time going out for vegan pizza and I was extremely impressed to the point of obsession now! Wish that it wasn't a 45 min subway ride otherwise I'd be eating there on the regular!
Awesome food and great ambience. My fiancé and I LOVED it. We will be back!
Best vegan pizza in the game and super fun spot to hang out at!
Great squash blossom pizza and salads.
I came in on Thanksgiving to Double Zero after having enjoyed my first visit several days before. The food is absolutely delicious and the ambiance modern and unique. Truffle pizza highly recommended. It was thankfully less crowded and noisy compared to my first visit due to the holiday.
Unfortunately, there was an unpleasant incident by an employee who treated me less than kindly, sometime after my visit, on her personal time after we had established what I thought was the beginning of a friendship. (I note that she offered her number to me, and I did not ask for it myself.) This has nothing to do with the restaurant itself, but her personal actions against me made me fear that she was counting on making me so uncomfortable so that I would never return to the restaurant on my own, because I was afraid of how she would treat me if she saw me again in person. The person at corporate assured me that I shouldn’t be afraid to go back, and when I expressed my fear of what Jeanine might do to me or express her hostility in other ways, the agent at corporate again assured me that every employee knows it’s their responsibility to act completely professionally and to make sure every guest, myself included, be made to feel welcome and comfortable.
Although I still feel quite nervous, I appreciated that the agent took the time to listen to my concerns and assure me that I am more than welcome back. I hope so, because I very much enjoyed my time otherwise and would completely recommend Double Zero’s menu to anyone. The combination of great plant based cuisine bursting with flavour and health benefits, along with the cool, social atmosphere, makes for a night out with friends and family, a date, or treating yourself to such delicious food. In addition, I also had the eggplant parmesan which was heaven in each bite.
I hope I will be able to return to try the other enticing entrees I’ve been eyeing on the menu. Thank you DZ for assuring me that I am always welcome to join you.
It’s a little bit expensive, but the food are really good and tasty.
We last ate here approximately 4 years ago. Our expectations were high but crushed from the start. Seating was tight, noise very loud, and service indifferent at best. We came for the pizza so ordered two pies. Both had much too much "cheese" which wasn't really cashew cheese as much as cashew based sauce. Because the potatoes on the potato pizza were sliced so thin there really was no taste of potato. The artichoke pizza again had much too much "cashew sauce". The toppings were quite nice but made the pizza soggy. To top off our disappointment, when we paid the bill, the receipt was returned but without our credit card. We asked several people to help find our credit card but with absolutely no effort by anyone. Finally I had to track down the busboy who originally took the credit card and he found it in the CC machine. Overall extremely disappointing. Will not return.
I have been coming here a few years now. The food is consistently excellent. Usually I come with a non-vegan and they are always impressed. A bonus is the intimate, softly lit interior with communal tables which strikes just the right balance between buzzy and relaxed. One of my favorite restaurants in this city.
Mac and cheese felt like pasta with rose sauce and the pizza wasn’t that tasty :/
La comida es maravillosa! Me encanto el lugar para ovaciones casuales
Great service, nice outdoor dining experience for a Saturday lunch in NYC. Terrific pizzas! Macaroni and cheese and Cesar salad were good. Definitely planning to eat there again.
Delicious vegan food! Can’t wait to go back and try more!
I love that plant based pizza is being elevated to this level. We had to sit outside because my friend did not have a vaccination card. However we sat under heaters and enjoyed the street view and ambience. Service was friendly and attentive.
The pizza was very good with perfect crust. I also enjoyed the antipasta salad. I would come back for sure. The prices are high for the size of the pizzas but this is NYC.
(PS: I don't give 5 stars easily, this is a legit 4).
Went for a friends Birthday lunch who is Vegan
I was very pleasantly surprised as a non vegan how good the food was Especially the Cacio Pepe
Highly recommend and would return
It was absolutely incredible! The food, the service and the ambience was exceptional
It was amazing. Food was great service was great.
Delicious. Best vegan pizza in Ny perhaps. Great service and cute ambiance.
Food is always amazing here 😍
The pizza was very good but the cacio e pepe was more like a dry Alfredo sauce.
Delicious pizza ! Please order the margarita, it’s so good and well made
Birthday dinner at Double Zero 🥳
Consistently tasty food, vegan, very friendly staff, cozy outdoor/indoor setting. Very reasonably priced. Love coming here!
We sat outside and the weather was lovely, just obviously had to deal with the noise of 2nd Ave (the people’s chatter you come for, the engine revving you deal with). Our table was definitely too small for 3 as it was just one of the little squares, but they accommodated our three pizzas with a stool as extra table space. Amazing food though and that’s what really matters!
AMAZING food and ambience! We LOVE the pizza and appetizers! The drinks are excellent as well! Tons of outdoor seating! Great covid protocols with sanitizer on every table and QR code for touch free. A very fun ambience and tasty food at a good price
There seemed to be two people waiting on our table…. It took ahwode to get drinks and the bill. One entree came far ahead of the other three.
It was very, very loud for such a small restaurant.
The food is great as it always is at a Matthew Kenney restaurant.
My wife and I dined here on an early Sunday afternoon and we were treated to an amazing meal. We ordered the avocado toast as an appetizer, to be split between us, and it was unbelievable. It was our first time trying avocado toast and I’m afraid we have been spoiled for life. It was that delicious and the home fries that accompanied the AT were quite tasty as well. Next up were our pizzas. I had the pepperoni and my wife had the margherita. These perfectly sized personal pizzas featured some out of this world pizza sauce and most definitely the most mind blowing cheese I’ve ever tasted. The vegan pepperoni was flavorful and added just the right amount of pizzazz to my pizza. The crust had the perfect crunch and was cooked to perfection. Our pizzas had so much flavor and no grease or saltiness. I don’t know how the chef pulled it off. After finishing our incredible lunch we knew we had experienced something special. We had the most delicious pizza ever and we are including multiple restaurants all over Italy that did not compare to what we had here at Double Zero. Our review would not be complete with out acknowledging the great job of the wait staff. Everyone who served us was just incredible. We can’t wait to go back.
Pros: 100 % Vegan. , The food is beyond delicious. , The staff is amazing.
Service was poor and they had several staff. Gluten free crust was just ok. Vegan mozerella was good. Fake pepperoni bad. GF Chocolate cake was dry and old.
For health reasons I’ve started eating vegan. Double Zero was my first vegan restaurant I tried. It did not disappoint! Food was awesome, service was impeccable, ambiance was great. The East Village is great for people watching! If you go, enjoy! You won’t be disappointed!
Great food and service!
