We loved our dinner. I had the poached pear salad and crab cakes and my partner had the burger. We loved the food and it was a cozy snd cute spot. We will be back for sure.

When we arrived we were seated at a lone table that is literally squeezed between the front door and the service station. It was a last minute reservation, and this was all that was available. Totally understandable, but Unfortunately it was very drafty and the smell from the dump bucket at the bar was a little off putting. We decided to leave and perhaps come back another day when we could sit inside the actual restaurant, however, shortly after leaving we received an email from them (they had our address from the reso) which read: “Sorry you left, considering we turned away over 30 people tonight. The table the server said would be available shortly was ready 5 minutes after you left. We have had maybe 4 people complain about that table in 17 years. The majority of our regulars prefer that table as it is much quieter than the main dinning room. Also considering you just made the reservation at 7:30 and we hurried the people out that were sitting there before you. This note ruined my evening. Firstly, no one told us another table would be ready shortly or I would have stayed and had a drink and waited. They told us we were last minute so that’s all they had (as I said, totally fair)secondly, their website says tables of 2 are only allowed to stay for a specific amount of time, so how were they rushed out if I had to select my time according to the table before me when I made the reso? Regardless, to send me such an unprofessional note to make me feel like a jerk for leaving is completely unnecessary. In all the years I’ve been in the service industry, I was really disappointed that the servers would take the time to write this email. If the table was so popular and so many people had waited or were waiting to take it, why would it even matter? Needless to say,now I will not be returning.

Thank You for your interesting reply, "the lone table that is literally squeezed between the front door and service station" The seating area is a 6 foot banquette with 2 tables. On Thursday we had 5 Winnipeg BlueBomber football players ask to sit there. Also when 2 servers told you about another table becoming available, and we don't hurry people out we just told them that we have a upcoming reservation at 8pm as they had been there for over 2 hours.

This is a little jem downtown Burlington. The food and service were excellent. The tables are a little cramped but overall this is definitely a place for great food and quality time with your dinner guests. We will definitely be coming back!

Overall, it was alright but a lot unexpected. I don’t think I was told who is my waitress and no name was really shared. When I got there , I was shocked of the size of this restaurant, barely any space between the tables and feel very much congested. This waitress changed my seat to another area, still very right. They also close at 9pm which is t convenient for a Friday night. The food was alright considering that we ordered two different things but the sides we all the same . I was a little turned off , but alright overall.

We came to celebrate a birthday Oct. 11 and were informed we had to be out in 2 hours. Nowhere was this mentioned on the site when making the reservation. A bottle of wine had already been opened so we could not say we were leaving. Also, that might have affected the $75 reservation fee I had to leave. The meal was rushed and we did not have time for dessert as we felt awkward when the 2 hours was up. The restaurant never filled up whilst we were there so why the panic!! The wait staff had to deliver the message, the manager never had the face to come and tell up in person. Will never come to this restaurant again.

Thank you for your review. I would like to defend our restaurant as well as our staff. Firstly your reservation was at 5:30 you left at 8:00pm, when you made the reservation you check a box that you agree to terms and conditions which clearly states parties larger than 3 we have set a time limit of 2 hours. You did not have to leave a $75 reservation fee, that fee is charged if you no show without calling to cancel the reservation. At no time were you rushed especially being here for 2.5 hours

Birthday dinner for a group of 4 ladies . Loved the 2 appetizers of beets/goat cheese with walnuts . Drinks all around delicious 👍👍 Main dinners were mushroom onion schnitzels x2 , pecan crusted chicken and curried mussels were over the top delicious!! Ended the night with Monti Cristo coffee and pecan cheesecake and crème brûlée shared by all . We r always pleased with the staff knowledge and recommendations , cleanliness of restaurant and outstanding menu items !! My favorite birthday place to eat , 2 years in a row 😋. Highly recommend this place for awesome service and amazing food /drinks …

The crepe with chicken should be improved.the sauce was too much like tomato soup! The taste of a divan sauce is so much better. We enjoyed the rest of the food and drink. We will go back again.
