My boyfriend and I came here for dinner this past weekend. We got an amazing table facing the water! Our waiter was extremely attentive and lovely. We each had a cocktail, both of which were great. My boyfriend had the warm bread with lemon butter and the flank steak. He really enjoyed it. I got the Brussel sprouts entree and mushroom pasta with a side salad. The food was great! Would recommend and will return in the future
I had the Arctic char dinner. Was not tasty and overcooked, too much spinach and potatoes were Luke warm. I did mention to the server who told the manager and he very kindly took it off the bill. I really appreciated that and will return.
Food and cocktails on point! Delicious!
Incredible food and setting. The view of Lake Ontario is stunning. Service was poor, but I think it was a one-off incident. Would absolutely go back.
This is one of my favorite restaurants and the food was very disappointing; a greasy salad, soggy fries and a tiny portion for a main.
Unfortunately the evening will be remembered for the lacklustre attitude from our service completely disinterested in making this experience exceptional. When asked to tell us about the menu - could barely get a description out of her. Never asked us about wine. I left a tip as I assume others share in it - but would not if I knew she would receive it all. Hope you take this review seriously & do a better job next time
This is one of my favourite places to be - in Canada ! Nothing beats the view. Friday’s experience was a bit underwhelming for one reason only. We each got the butternut squash soup. The flavour was incredible, however, we were chewing sand the whole time. The granules were in our teeth and we both noticed how awful that aspect was. We did let our serve know but it was dismissed. In fact he said he let the kitchen know and they said it was supposed to be that way. Very disappointing. Otherwise the burger and brown butter fries didn’t disappoint. The menu now is limited however and I had plans to order the gay Gazpacho, lobster dip, and beet salad, which weren’t on the menu anymore. Very limited selection. But I’ll still be going back any chance I get with good weather. The ambiance and view is like no other.
This restaurant came highly recommend by many friends so of course we had a try it.
Firstly, the food took 1 hour and 15 minutes to come. This was not even acknowledged by our server. Once the food came, it was room temp at best and had absolutely zero flavour. Very disappointed. It’s not worth the money. Better to take yourself to Flame and Smith. Incredible food and service.
Don’t waste your time or money. It was awful.
We were excited to be out for only the second time during COVID. And we were totally satisfied and actually delighted with everything including Damian, our waiter and our our safety thank Drake Devonshire — we will go back.
Fun lunch with friends in a beautiful setting. Great service (thanks Eric) and great food. Yum
very underwhelming. Food was NOT good and way overpriced.
Very good Covid measures and excellent atmosphere
Beautiful view and great food.
I’ve been to the Drake before so I was exited to introduce friends to it. It was very underwhelming to say the least. Restaurant was void of the cool and fun atmosphere I had once experienced. Server was not personable at all and rushed us through what was a very quick dinner. Just over an hour in and out. Waiter took plates away as we were still picking food off them. I understand the atmosphere might be because of covid but waiters should still try to engage. Super overpriced wine list. Cocktails and burgers were great so thankfully it wasnt a total bust.
Pretty view, food was okay. Brunch is worth it! Will come back for breakfast.
We had the best service at the Drake Devonshire! We were celebrating a big milestone and were treated to complimentary cava. The service was attentive, but not overbearing, and the food and drinks were excellent.
Ambiance is awesome as well! Can't go wrong with this place!
The views were amazing however, that’s where it all ends. The service was not what we expected for such a restaurant. The persons working at the front to help get you seated either had a bad a day or was not the proper fit to have greeting customers. (Not very friendly) our server was ok, but didn’t had much to say which was ok, but it all tied into the experience of not feeling welcome. The food selection was limited (lunch menu)the steak we ordered was overpowered with salt and the chicken was tasteless. I really wanted to make our visit a memorable one because of such a great location. I am hoping this review would not make you angry rather be helpful to make a better experience for guests.
Most of the people we interacted with seems a bit upset or maybe just not having a good day.
Lovely view, pleasant ambiance, amicable staff, good food, nice art pieces and tasteful indoor/outdoor design.
We had an issue with the host upon entry, (not recognizing that service dogs cannot be prohibited from the restaurant), but the manager Fagan made it right and was very professional. It ended up being a very enjoyable meal and food was great. Atmosphere was top notch. Will be back.
Great place with spectacular view. Service and food excellent.
Everything was Amazing!!! The food, service and view were top notch 🙌🏼🙌🏼 can’t wait to go back 🥰
Great atmosphere, food is good. Service is great.
The location perched on Lake Ontario in the midst of Prince Edward County's wine region is the perfect interlude between wineries on our biking tour of the area. We thought we had booked lunch, but actually had a brunch spot... adjust expectations and move on! Meal was good enough to bring us back for lunch on our way home at the end of the long weekend. Highly recommended!

Simply put - a must eat at, must stay at place! Nothing negative to share.
Been here before ordered the burgers this time around wasn’t so great. Fancy fries needed more cheese. Staff is amazing.
Excellent food. Great view of Lake from where we were seated. Would recommend visit.
Very pricy for the atmosphere and portion. Alcohol was the biggest disappointment.
We were happy to experience the Drake Devonshire. The atmosphere and service were lovely, but I must admit that the food was rather disappointing. Very bland pasta and arctic char dishes that we didn’t finish. My husband and I were hungry when we left.
Food was below average at best. I had heard this from other people but wanted to check it out as the location itself is great.
Soup came out cold and when I asked if it was supposed to be hot or cold, I was asked "Is it hot or cold?" as if my answer would dictate if the temperature was correct.
I had a burger and it was full of fat and had virtually no flavour at all. My husband had the chicken which was bizarre – it was chicken on a bone, in broth (almost like a soup) which also had no taste and was extremely awkward to eat.
Would not go back or recommend to anyone – only reason we didn't complain was because the drinks were great and we did have a nice time.
Yes, loved it! very very good. Everyone is gracious and kind. The wine selection is actually really good. The steak was excellent, could have been slightly warmer but was cooked to perfection.
The services was excellent and all public health protocols were in place. We felt very comfortable dining here.
We went there during a day trip to PEC and made a reservation to dine at Drake at Devonshire for 1:30 pm hoping we will start off with some drinks and order from the lunch menu that starts at 2 PM. To our disappointment, we were not allowed to order from the lunch menu even when we were willing to wait until 2. Also, our request to have a window seat was disregarded despite the fact that there were many empty seats available with no reservation tags on them. The food and service was OK.
It’s a beautiful and the food was good, but we were outside with no warning. My husband and I were not dressed accordingly and were therefore distracted by how cold we were.
If we had of been warned in advance, we would have dressed more warmly. Wear layers if you Decide to eat here :).
It was also my husbands 30th birthday. In the reservation I mentioned that we were celebrating and they didn’t mention it at all. I thought there would have been some sort of recognition but we didn’t receive any.
To cap it all off, the service was quite slow.
Beautiful venue, good food, but a few disappointments for the price you pay.
Our food was terrible... and I would never recommend any one to go there... we tried to let our waiter know but they seemed to not really care...
This was our second time eating here and the space is so bright it made for the perfect lunch spot with a view! Two of us ordered the arctic char but were disappointed as both were overcooked and did not taste fresh. Two ordered the special fish sandwich which was outstanding!!! We will be back again for dinner in the near future and would recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for great food, service, and ambiance.
Service terrible and food very mediocre and cold. This is the second time I’ve been here and decided to give it one more chance as our first experience wasn’t great either.
Given the pandemic and the attendant limitations (including a limited menu), we thought the Drake did a great job both in terms of safety protocols and the quality of food one might expect. Sadly they didn’t have the moules frites, but we both had the steak with black garlic butter, and it was excellent. Great drinks, good service. The ambiance was a bit subdued, but that’s to be expected, I guess.
The view from this restaurant is beautiful with many seats available on the large patio as well as a gorgeous water view from tables inside. The staff were professional in carrying out Covid regulations. My husband's pasta dish and salad were very good as well as my butternut squash soup, but I was disappointed as the server forgot my brussel sprouts and when reminded, she didn't apologize and delivered the dish burnt with no compensation. It left a bit of a bad taste at the end of the meal, but overall the view of the water, ambiance and other professional staff made up for this deficit.
Great place for breakfast. We ate here 2 days in a row. Very accommodating to our 9 month old as well — chef even sliced blueberries for her 💗
