Snappy intown design. Comfortable seating. Excellent service by Jennifer and partner. Delicious salads. Great traditional French onion soup. Short ribs and vegetables were scrumptious as recommended by Jennifer. Crab cake was too much filling that had no flavor - so ditch the crab cake. The smoky dram cocktail was perfect for a drab weather evening. Would recommend to family and friends.

This is my third time at this restaurant. It is a favorite! The food is decadent! My husband and I have had the shrimp and grits, salmon, halibut, duck confit and sweet potatoes, broccolini, Brussels sprouts, shrimp and crab linguini, and tonight’s special duck with greens, cranberries, and risotto (I don’t think I’m ever going to like risotto anywhere else… AMAZING!) I can’t remember the name of the duck dish, but my breast was cooked medium, as suggested by our lovely server, Beth. Worth every penny for the passionate and harmonious flavors. Entrees are generously sized, as well. We always leave with to go boxes.

The ambiance was the right setting. My waitress was the best. She helped with making choices and changes to the menu to make the dish I wanted. Appetizers were great I had the crab dip and the New Orleans shrimp. I had the chopped salad with some alterations to incorporate the wedge into it. For my entree I did the salmon with southern mashed potatoes and added a crab cake to compliment it. The salmon was seasoned to perfection and the glaze or sauce they had to top it was amazing. The crab cakes were all crab meat and not those fillers. My other half had crab cakes with asparagus and mac n cheese. The asparagus was welled season and not soft or too hard and the mac n cheese was excellent. All food was great tasting and great temperature. Throughout the dining experience lots of different staff checked to make sure everything was going great. My waitress throughout replaced used silverware. This was the best experience I had this year. And I fine dine a lot. Thank you Dressler’s for the experience

Great experience! We were hungry and traveling from Columbia SC in hopes of finding a restaurant that would give a memorable dining experience. Soooo..this was a last minute dinner reservation. I had the restaurant on my “list” of places to visit. Our server was Peyton and he was awesome! We had the 16 oz Delmonico Ribeye ( medium well) and a side of Brussel Sprouts. The steak was seasoned and grilled perfectly. I don’t believe this was a “prime” grade of beef as it was a tad bit dry. We tend to appreciate more marbling in our steak. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the meal overall. We couldn’t eat it all and will happily eat it at breakfast with a side of eggs. :-)

Overall it remained great because of the restaurant itself however the service wasn’t great which was disappointing especially in light of it being my wife’s birthday. We sat with empty wine and water glasses for large portions of the meal including for the entirety of the dessert portion. Needless to say that left a damper on the experience.

The experience at Dressler's was very good. We were celebrating my Mothers' Birthday. I will say that my steak was slightly over cooked but the garlic butter sauce gave it good flavor and balance.

Dressler's is probably my favorite restaurant in Charlotte, along with the other restaurants in the Rare Roots chain (RIP Dogwood). Having been here many times previously, I am well acquainted with their menu. This Saturday evening, I ordered the halibut, as I have done probably 20+ times before. It always comes topped with lump crab, roasted red peppers, and tomato beurre blanc. I noticed this time, however, that the amount of crab and sauce was appreciably less than usual. Instead of covering the top of the halibut like it always had, it was just a small glob. I would have thought it just an off night, but I had noticed just before this that the crab dip that we had ordered (and have had many dozens of times before) seemed like it was in a smaller dish than usual. I thought maybe it was my imagination, but when seeing how they were also scaling back on the halibut, I now wonder if this is a sign of cutbacks in general. (Not to mention they used to bring fresh bread during dinner, but I have not seen that now in years.) Over the past few years, the prices have increased, which would be fine if the portion sizes remained constant, but they have actually been shrinking, so it's a double-punch. I nevertheless give the restaurant 5 stars for food quality and service alone, but I have to say the value is now less, and that was already the sticking point since it was never a cheap place to begin with. Even excluding drinks, desserts, or tip, our 2 entrees with single appetizer was over $100. If you do have a few drinks, a dessert or two, salad/soup, you're now easily looking at $200 after tip for just two people. That makes it more of an infrequent treat than a once-every-few-weeks destination like it used to be.

I was quite surprised at the sub-par food after reading reviews and word from some of our friends. The food from the greasy french fry style frozen calamari to the uneditable salmon soaked in salt was very disappointing. We saved visiting Dresslers for a special occasion and I wish we hadn't. My wifes Halibut, which was talked up by the waitress, was spoiled and also over salted. Maybe this is a trick to keep the fish from spoiling. It didnt work. The only saving grace was the cheesecake which is the Moms receipt. They should bring mom back because I was very disayficed and will not be coming back. Just a note we love some of the other Dressler Restaurants like 131 Main and Fin and Fino. This particular brand needs to be laid to rest and revitalized with the terrific location in Midtown.

A very nice and calm restaurant for a Sunday afternoon, we were there for our anniversary. Dinner was great, wine was good. I had the pasta dish and my spouse had the rack of lamb, very good. I would recommend and would certainly go back again.

The food was okay. I had a French Onion soup that was a bit burned and a Ribeye that was also a bit overdone (ordered “medium” and there was no sign of pink in the center, so it was cooked through and through). It was also not very tender although it was welll spiced. My wife had the wedge salad which was good but the shrimp and grits was very different. The service was very good and friendly. We will not be back.
