   Good food, when it didn’t take 25 min plus to come out in stages and forgotten food. Service was barely acceptable and many things were missed. Table of 10 working 30+ females couldn’t have a drink together cause they came out late or missed. Won’t be going back

   We enjoyed excellent dinner service with some tasty food (halloumi salad and chicken bites) and amazing cocktails. The food and drinks are very fairly priced. Our server (Angele) was so friendly and responsive without being overbearing. After Angele finished her shift (10 pm), we were transferred to another server and we found the service of the remaining staff to be not nearly as attentive. Overall, though, we had a great evening.

   The first impression was great. The downstairs decor was beautiful but was offered the option of the rooftop patio, and the decor changed- it felt like entering a different place altogether. We booked because of the beach vibe, and it didn't feel like they kept that fully going up to the patio. Service was great; everyone was beyond friendly and attentive. We tried several cocktails, and we thought they were all excellent. Food: Halloumi small plate was excellent, and would definitely get it again. Chicken tacos were our least favourite of the evening. Toppings kept everything flavourful and bright, but the chicken didn't have much flavour, and the shells fell apart as soon as we picked them up. Overall we had a good night but probably won't be back.

   This was our second time at this restaurant so we decided to fry the large plates .I had the trout and my husband had the steak. Both were excellent . Try the Peakock cocktail. The staff are very attentive. As a bonus there was live entertainment in the form of a great Sax player.

    We visited this restaurant on their second opening night. The staff were really friendly. Once we were seated at a table, we were offered a sample of some refreshing fruit punch and some paprika popcorn to enjoy while we waited for our meals. Both were good. I ordered the Such Linguine. It was decent, but I had to remove the kalamata olives because they added a bit more salty flavour than I liked. My partner had the chorizo rigatoni that our server had recommended and it was really good!! Towards the end of our visit, the manager came to ask about our experience had been. I'd say it was a win! I will definitely be going back! Thanks again!

    Tried out D&S on opening night. We received a complimentary drink on arrival, which was watered down fruit juice. Nice idea, but disappointing drink. We also received a complimentary spiced popcorn which was delicious. We shared chicken tacos, steak tartare, and chicken pesto pizza, all of which were delicious. Service was fantastic. There was live music the whole time we were there. We ate outside on the patio on picnic tables. A bit noisy with the traffic and sitting on a wooden plank with no back got a bit uncomfortable. Several of the tables inside were coffee tables, which looked like they were awkward to eat on, since your plates were in front of your knees.

    Food was quite tasty. We ordered the beef tartar, calamari (a little spicy) and the pesto chicken pizza. OMG best pizza I have had in a long time! Would go back for that. Décor was nice and they had a saxophone player, which was nice but a little loud at times during conversation. Drinks come in fun glasses. OUr server Andrew was very attentive. Would recommend.

    The service was great, the vibe of the restaurant was cool and overall really enjoyable! The drinks were quite good, however, the food was just okay. The pesto pizza was really boring - only had 1 flavour and was disappointing. The chicken bites were also quite boring and didn’t fit the vibe of the restaurant.

    The staff is so attentive and knowledgeable. We never had a dirty dish on our table for longer than a minute, always had full waters. We had the hummus and the chicken bites to start and both were exceptional. For dinner my husband had the half-chicken and I had the linguine s we both loved our dishes and the sauce on the chicken was so yummy! We made sure to save room for desert, because I was eyeing the churros from the very start. They were absolutely the best churros I’ve had in Calgary and the closest I’ve tasted to the real thing from Spain. Our drinks were also delicious and I can’t wait to go back!

    Food was tad salty. Yes I know linguine is suppose to be salty but the tomato sauce was definitely salty. The pizza had the same tomato sauce and that was definitely salty. The beef tacos were the best out of everything we tried.

    It was good. The restaurant itself is very hot, so they need more fans or circulation or something. We ordered our drinks first and didn’t get them until we had one of our appetizers in front of us. I got the virgin palmara it was good just wish they would have salted the whole rim not just a section. My friend had the bamboo thing and prickly pear lemonade, said both were good. I would say that they need bigger glasses for their ware or to just leave the pitcher on the table for people so that they don’t need to coke refill it every two seconds. The complimentary non alcoholic meal cleanser was a nice touch that a lot of restaurants don’t do or offer. We had the hummas to start; they need to give you a smaller amount or more items to go with it. We ended up ordering another naan bread to go with it and still weren’t able to use it all. Then we had the haloumi cheese frit, it was the best thing we tried that night. Was done very well! Lastly for savoury we tried the marghertia flatbread. The only thing I would have changed about it would be that they cut up the basil instead of putting an entire leaf on the top of it. Then for dessert we tried the sorbet and des tres leches cake. Both were okay, but nothing overly special. The sorbet was a lime and we think orange. The orange one didn’t have a lot of flavour so it was hard to tell. The lime one was really good though. The cake I wasn’t overly a fan of but it wasn’t bad. All in all the experience was good but I likely wouldn’t go back.

    It was just okay, nothing special about the food or drinks. Sure, drinks come in fancy glasses and shapes but the taste was just okay. Not somewhere I would make an effort to go to. Unless this was just the soft opening and they are working out the menu still? Thanks for allowing me to try it out. The staff were very nice and it’s nicely decorated.

    Overall, we would loved to have been able to share this feedback privately over a review card during the soft launch but we weren’t presented the opportunity to discuss our experience with the staff or management at any capacity. We attended the soft launch for Drinks and Such with high hopes of a great new cocktail spot on 17th ave but we’re sadly disappointed by our experience. Having a prime time reservation, we found they were sold out of a lot of dishes and that the items we could order were less than impressive. The beef tacos were rather flavourless and soggy and the Greek salad was warm and wilted. The champagne vinegar in the martini was potent and unappetizing and the tiki drink was extremely watery. Overall, we hope this was simply the growing pains and a first attempt for Drinks and Such but our experience didn’t leave us wanting to go back.

    Great time at the soft opening of D&S. Sat on the rooftop patio, enjoyed cocktails, burrata salad, beef tartar, tacos and dessert. Beer selection is good, cocktails were great, food was good. They have done a great job with the room and the service was attentive and kind. Very nice experience.

    Loved the ambiance, music was great, found the lighting a bit too dark in the beginning of my visit but I adjusted. Food was just ok. Needed a bit more spice. Drink was fantastic. I would return to try other dishes. The dessert delivered on flavour.

As it was their opening week, the portion sizes were a little off, like wayyyy too much Hummus with only a few pita pieces, but I'm sure they'll work out the kinks. The drinks were amazing!     Great decor and ambiance but the music was so loud that I could not talk to my partner or hear what our server was saying. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I ordered the chicken tacos and my partner had the pizza. The staff were very attentive and personable. Great selection of drinks that are delicious and well priced.     So happy to see a unique, hip and young dance spot return to 17th Ave SW! The vibe is energetic and fun, ambiance is great and service team friendly and welcoming. We arrived at 6pm and there was ample free street parking available just outside. The live DJ was awesome, tunes were hoppin and not overly loud, and live electric violinist was unique and fun. The service was also great, drinks were a bit slower than normal, but food was relatively quick even though it was busy, and service team was excellent. I love the option of signature cocktails on tap, and there's a good range of quality craft beers, cider and wine. The taps were a bit off this visit, but hopefully that issue is fixed soon. The food menu was a bit short on selections, which is understandable since this is mainly a spot for drinks. As for the food, the two appetizers - popcorn and fries - were unique, yummy, fresh and good value. For our main, the mango chicken tacos were filling, decent portion size and flavour. The tortilla especially was very tasty. Could use a double tortilla to help stand up to the large portion and avoid them falling apart though! Had churros for dessert which were not a good value at $10 for the equivalent of two large churros, which ended up being very raw in the middle and the whipped cream had gone bad. Hopefully the few issues are fixed because this was a great time overall; will be back again.
