Earls Kitchen + Bar - 16th Avenue - Calgary
Excellent service by the bar staff. Happy hour offerings are a great value. Biggest issue at this location is parking, which is horrendous.
Decent but they sort of forgot about us in the end
Great experience and great waitress
I always enjoy our time at Earls, except for the noise level. The acoustics in all the Earls, I have been to, is bad. You have to yell across the table when speaking to people.
Roja is the best!
All food was cold, service was good. Not the typical experience that’s we have with Earls.
Food made me sick. Still an expensive outing despite the happy hour menu
the power bowl is good love it. not too saucy but tasty. It’s too noisy, if you have more than 3 ppl (our group) you have to speak pretty loud to get heard. will not go again unless it’s just 2 of us
Earl's is my go to..I always know im going to have great service and fantastic food at a reasonable price... especially during happy hour.
Overall great service we were on our way to the nut cracker and we were out in a timely manner
Parking is not good but everything else was good
Very good waitress only had to wait to long for our order almost one hour but very good when we got it
Bad/slow drink service.
We spent more time with water than wine. And left earlier than planned due to not being able to get more of the same house white we were drinking. Tasted totally different and gave us both instant heart burn.
Was dining with elderly people who found the noise level to much, not able to have a conversation as they could not hear what was being said over the tables beside us.
we arrived late and needed to get to the jubilee, our waitress was awesome at getting us our food quickly and getting us out in time to see our grandson in his band christmas concert
Quite a busy place. Host could not find my name in the reservation record. Service was quick and pleasant, but the steak was chewy and salty... overall 3/5 stars experience. I would only go there for a last minute arrangement.
Seated too close to open bar. Did not offer calamari, a favorite. Chicken tenders were over cooked. Dessert was best and drinks were enjoyable. Clearing was slow but service was friendly.
We stopped for a bite to eat and glass of wine before a show. The food was really good and the service was excellent!
Great! Enjoyed by all.
We choose to visit Earls on 16th each Saturday evening that we are attending a Broadway Across Canada performance due to its' proximity to the Jubilee. As a patron with mobility issues, I have to reserve well before 5 PM to be able to get a parking spot in the designated Earls parking area, which is extremely early if the show does start until 8 PM. That, and the high noise level, are the only problems I have with the restaurant. The location is great, food is delicious, staff are very courteous and friendly... all the wonderful aspects of a "place that counts" in my family's estimation!
Restaurant was busy and lively. Food was very good. Service was average. Limited parking is a big deterrent during the dinner rush.
Decent dining experience
Everything went great
Very small menu from which to choose brunch items but excellent value if you go at the brunch happy hour.
Brunch was great, our server was very attentive and I love the brunch menu! Thank you!
Had a nice birthday celebration
You can’t go wrong with $8 brunch.
We waited over half an hour for our order and the appetizers and main dishes arrived at the same time, lukewarm yet overcooked, poorly spiced, very disappointing. It is probably more of a drinking establishment
Although food and service were great, it was much, much too noisy, especially a group of girls who were drinking lots and very loud.
Had a good tasting lunch, but the parking situation is horrid.
Air conditioning was on which made things very uncomfortable. Had to let our waitress know and when things did not improve we asked to move tables. Glasses for beer were dirty so we decided not to use them and drank from bottle only. Food was good and service was also good.
Food and service was great! But it was really cold in the restaurant. Winter’s just around the corner. Turn off the air conditioning and turn up the heat :)
After ordering coffee our waitress never came by to offer a refill. We had to ask for it.
The Cajun blackened sirloin steak was one of the best steaks I have had in Calgary. The service was impeccable. Seriously better than Hy’s
The waitress got my order completely wrong & no one ever came to refill our coffees.
Also, they don’t have high chairs, only the claw ones that attach to the table. That would have been fine except the table isn’t sturdy enough to hold it well, so I toddler did two big bounces & shook the whole table so violently he spilled the little coffee we did have all over the table.
Not very family friendly and not great service. The happy hour pricing was terrific, but I doubt we’ll be back.
Wish the server would have come by to offer water refills. We only had the one glass when we arrived.
Great service and food as usual!
Liam was awesome!
Brunch food was tasty and good value. Service was only so-so.
The quality just keeps going down. We keep trying because it’s close to home but for the cost, it’s worth the drive elsewhere. Service on this night in particular was incredibly slow from a kitchen perspective and the restaurant was not busy. The food was mediocre at best when we finally received it. Overly salty and mediocre. I hope they get back to the quality they once had but I’m losing hope with time.
