Earls Kitchen + Bar - Bridge Park - Burnaby
Brunch: Saturday + Sunday & Holidays: 11:00am-2:00pm
Great service, great food. Attended a baby shower there and they were very accomodating!
Private message sent to the burnaby location as I feel it will be better replied to in a personal message, thanks.
We had unexpected company join us, but the restaurant added the 4 extra seats to our reservation, no problem. They were very accommodating.
Although one of the first customers through the door for brunch, it was over 40 mins from sitting to actually eating, simple order, way too long, especially for the number of wait and kitchen staff. I insisted & persisted that we try this location so didn't "score any points" here...Neither one of us impressed...
Very very poor service. Coffees were ordered at arrival but not delivered till at least 20 minutes later. Coffee (brewed) tasted awful and when we complained we were informed that the staff knew the coffee was bad, but the ‘machine was acting up’. More expensive americanos were offered and ordered which arrived as we were finishing our meal (brunch). Only one small serving of cream was delivered. Food was ok. We asked for chorizo on the side as we didn’t eat pork but the server didn’t mention that the chorizo was mixed in with the mushrooms - both (mixed) were served on the side. Server forgot who ate what so we had to remind him (after we had to flag him down to get us the bill). There didn’t seem to be anyone in charge.
Waitress was very attentive and friendly. Was quite loud in there during lunch, i could barely hear the person beside me...good energy, but not great for either business or a quiet night out. Food quality was good, portion was decent. Despite asking the waitress twice for no onions on my burger during the order, it still arrived with onions. Parking appears to be by valet only as it is a small, packed lot...valet was good, fast, friendly.
Food too salty and dry. Pointed out to server that there was half a French fry in my blackened swordfish taco (I ordered it with salad). The fry appeared to be half eaten. She replied "Oh" and that was it. I thought she would offer to replace it or at least give me a discount. When the bill came, the tip options were high and I didn't see a way to pick a different tip. I found out afterward that I could have selected "Other". Overall, it was an expensive lunch and not very good food and service was mediocre. I felt ripped off because I don't eat out often and this was supposed to be a treat. Will not suggest a business lunch here again.
As soon as our wine came to the table we were attacked by fruit flies, moved tables twice, steaks were cold by that point. Manager was nice about it and helpful but not nice for a second anniversary
Our server was friendly but her service was not so great. She failed to inform us about the extra charges for salads with our burgers when she asked us if we wanted fries and I asked what other options there were. Our burgers were not made according to how we ordered them. And we had to re ask for the condiments we had wanted. Cutlery was dirty and needed to be replaced.
Very slow service, almost non-existent waitstaff that we had to ask for everything.
I frequent Earl's Bridgepark for lunch meetings and afternoon happy hour where the service is speedy, the food great and the servers always pleasant. This was my 3rd time having weekend happy hour brunch there, and the 3rd time we received service that was slow, subpar, and unorganized. While you can't beat the value of a $9 brunch entree, be prepared to wait awhile for your food and even a regular coffee. The consistency isn't quite there as one time we had potatoes that tasted like it was fried in stale oil, the bacon was missing last time, and the egg on our avocado toast was way overcooked this time. Go for the price but do temper your expectations on everything else.
We were sitting by a window that was closed but there were flying bugs everywhere around our food and dead bugs on the windowsill right next to our table.
Delicious brunch with amazing service! The patio option is perfect too! Will definitely be back again!
One of the best "happpy hour" places. Great selection of food and drinks.
Our server, Andrea was wonderful - friendly, helpful & a smile that would light up a dark room - loved her! Music is too loud for our taste - difficult to carry on a conversation without shouting. Great bread - can I buy a loaf!!?
Terrific table service both indoors and on their patio. Outstanding selection of unique takes on fantastic food. Good selection of drinks and reasonable prices. Professional and friendly staff that is willing to accommodate special requests. Highly recommended and well worth the visit!
Food was great as usual. The Sante fe chicken salad continues to be my favourite dish! Our server was friendly and provided good service. Portions are worth the price.
Love the happy hour menu
With the new menu there is something different to try every time you go! Great food in a nice outdoor setting, relaxing great summer experience!
Outstanding service and quality of food. Our Hawaiian Happy Hour Happy Birthday Brunch was made special by staff and management. Can’t say enough great things about our experience this week-end at Earl’s Bridge Park location. All three generations who were present totally enjoyed the family gathering.
I had indicated on the reservation that we needed to get in and out in one hour, and our server accomplished that - 60 minutes to the dot! - in a very gracious and friendly manner, without making us feel rushed. Also appreciated the valet parking.
Waitress was not good service, she was added the extra food to my main course. Mushrooms and garlic bread etc. I really not like this service.
We arrive in the middle of the lunch rush and were lucky to get a parking spot. Upon entering, we were greeted by the hostess and taken to our table.
The waitress was friendly, but could've been a bit more attentive to refill our drinks.
We ordered chicken strips, and 2x soup, salad, and pan bread, and an order of hot wings. I was surprised that that came to $60, but I dont usually order soup and salad. Maybe I was just surprised by the sticker shock.
We found that the noise level was a bit high. It was difficult to hear our conversation clearly.
Otherwise, the dining experience was fine.
Music was too loud, food cold - everyone sent their meal back to be re-cooked, service was very slow and inattentive, hostess reluctant to give a larger table even though the restaurant was empty
My two friends and I have been meeting for lunch or dinner at Earls on Lougheed in Burnaby about three times per year for eight years. Our experience last Friday was so disappointing the three of us discussed our concerns with the lunchtime manager Brandon while there. Brandon was open to our concerns and indicated he would discuss with his staff.
It was chaotic! 20 minutes for a martini. Popular vodka (Stoli & Absolute) not available. What was available was expensive. Both meals were slightly warm. The ribs tested OK. The pasta not so good. I know we could have sent the meals back but we just wanted to get out of there. The ambient noise was awful. Parts of our order were missed and had to be re-ordered, twice. Staff did their best. The managers have overall responsibility for the confusion. They need better training. Much better training. Will not be back.
We had a very nice time the, young lady looking after us was fantastic. Our food was excellent and. there was no pressure to eat and run. We were all very happy with our time there. We will recommend Earl's to our friends and family.
Earls is one of my favourite place to go for happy hour… The food was amazing it was a little loud on the lounge side especially when the three lady showed up next to us and they were obnoxious and very very loud. Kind of ruined the evening as we couldn’t even hear each other talk… It would’ve been better if I had said something and been moved to another area… But I did not want to complain… These three women should’ve actually been asked to leave as they were inebriated and had no style at all
Went for brunch with some friends. Made reservations right when they opened. Good was great, along with the brunch happy hour. Service was decent. It took a while to get our food but the waitress was super accommodating. Even when they messed up on an order she compensated by bringing out some extra food. That was appreciated.
We went here to use a gift certificate i received rom work.
Although we were leery of a "chain" restaurant we decided to go and use the certificate.
We were truly surprised, the waitress was amazing, really attentive and looked after our every need. We ordered the steak and lobster and my wife's meal was perfect, mine however was no so much.
After sending the steak back and receiving everything I ordered at a different time and on different plates we were a little less than impressed, but our waitress was so apologetic that we couldn't fault her. She brought the manager over and he was also apologetic and then left.
The special part came when the bill arrived. I'm not going to say exactly what they did for us, but suffice to say we were amazed at what they took off the bill to make up for the few mistakes!!
We will definitely return to this Earls in the future and would recommend it to any of our friends without hesitation!!
When I arrived there were 20 children as a part of a hockey team sitting in the dining room and they were all running around like crazy. This didn’t bode well for a business meal at all as it was quite noisy. When we sat down, it took 15-20 minutes to have our order taken and 20-25 mins for the food to come. I got the chili chicken and it was cold while the soup was hot.. we had to send the chicken back and they did bring out another that was slightly warmer. Overall, it took a while to get served as well and our server forgot our drinks. Not to mention the parking situation is atrocious. The lot is way too small for this size of a restaurant. I don’t think I’d come to this Earls again for a business meal.
Family from Nova Scotia came for a surprise visit
Service was extremely slow and none of the food came out together. 2 meals were sent back as they were cold but when remade they were nice and hot. Restaurant is extremely noisy and not great if you want to hear the person sitting next to you.
Always enjoy the food and environment at this location.
Usual good food good service and atmosphere. Well done!
Pleasant night. Good food and service.
Had a really good time here on Sunday for Mothers Day, food was excellent! The waitress was knowledgeable about which dishes accommodated my vegan diet, which I didn't expect and very much appreciated! Will visit again :)
Thank you for a wonderful Mothers Day Brunch. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Earl's and have recommended your brunch to our family and friends. good price for good food.
We had an enjoyable meal. The food was excellent. However, the waitress took a long time with our requests and needed reminders on multiple occasions. Maybe she was too busy?
We went for brunch on May 12, 2018. Our server was terrible. She would leave and we would have to track her down. I'd ask a question about subbing out an item and she'd leave right away to find the manager to ask only to disappear for another ten minutes without taking any of the other orders.
I asked for hot water to make some baby food and instead of bringing it in a pot or a mug another server brought it in a small water glass which she could barely carry herself because it was so hot.
We kept asking for utensils which she kept forgetting. I like this location however the service was terrible on this particular visit.
