Earls Kitchen + Bar - Bridge Park - Burnaby
Brunch: Saturday + Sunday & Holidays: 11:00am-2:00pm
Brunch time around the busy holidays. Nice relaxing time.
Usually I think Earl's is too pricey for a casual gathering, but they offer special brunch prices during certain times, so that made the decision to go there super easy!
I was greeted by a Happy Hour pizza by the sous chef upon my arrival. Probably helped to be sitting near the kitchen! What an unexpected delight - it set the mood for the rest of my evening with a friend. I'm now going to make Earl's a regular social dining spot.
Great old fashioned and poke bowl
Over 1 hour wait for our food. Already sent open table a note about our experience
Really good brunch happy hour! Wish the poached eggs were a bit more runny but service was great!
Our server Myshiia was fantastic!!! She was our server both times we were in and would definitely want to be in her section again.
Thanks Myshiia, for making both our evenings with you spectacular!!
Food and service was very good but it was difficult to enjoy conversation as it was too nosy. It’s one thing to be part of an energetic atmosphere but when you have to keep repeating your conversation, it takes away grime the enjoyment of the occasion. If we wanted noisy, we would have gone to a pub or bar!!!
Food was good...when it got there. Way too loud inside for conversation.
Earls now has devoted a section of their menu to plant based meals.
They do need to make those options less salty though.
Vegan Hunan Kung Pao: too salty (even after asking for light sauce)
Vegan Quinoa and Avocado Powerbowl: great!
Crispy Chickpea Curry Bowl: too salty
We came to celebrate a birthday. Harlan, our waiter was attentive and made our overall experience better. The food was good (not the best we’ve had, but still good). It wasn’t too loud so we could hold an actual conversation. The interior design was nice as well! Would definitely come again.
Excellent waiter. Waaay too loud. Food was poor. Manager intervened. Still poor.
Probably the first visit with bad service. 5 people put into table for 4 with extra chair in a hallway where server can’t go through as the extra chair is back to back to the other table. We were constantly moving drinks and stuff to make room for plates etc.
Server never really came back after dinner was served, plates not cleared, not even a dessert menu offered.
This was my first time coming for brunch and I don’t think I’ll be back. We sat down at 11:10am, places our drink order and shortly after ordered our food. Our food didnt arrive until Noon. By the time we got it, it was like warm almost cold. My chorizo and eggs were barely warm and all the oil had gathered at the bottom. It was as if our food was made but someone forgot to bring it to us... It was a disappointing meal.
The service was very good. The music is too loud; our table was practically yelling across to each other. Food is tasty. Young kids (maybe 4 or 5 years) were running all over and making too much noise.
Eh 🤷🏼♀️ was too loud
Made a reservation to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. It was my first time at this location. I was surprised that the hostess knew who I was before I even told her about my reservation. I was very impressed. The service was amazing and our waitress was super friendly and really on top it. After dinner, we were greeted by the manager who brought out the dessert. He was extremely friendly and talked to us for a bit. He also came by a few times to make sure everything was ok. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I will definitely come back to this location.
Great service, great food. Attended a baby shower there and they were very accomodating!
Private message sent to the burnaby location as I feel it will be better replied to in a personal message, thanks.
We had unexpected company join us, but the restaurant added the 4 extra seats to our reservation, no problem. They were very accommodating.
Although one of the first customers through the door for brunch, it was over 40 mins from sitting to actually eating, simple order, way too long, especially for the number of wait and kitchen staff. I insisted & persisted that we try this location so didn't "score any points" here...Neither one of us impressed...
Very very poor service. Coffees were ordered at arrival but not delivered till at least 20 minutes later. Coffee (brewed) tasted awful and when we complained we were informed that the staff knew the coffee was bad, but the ‘machine was acting up’. More expensive americanos were offered and ordered which arrived as we were finishing our meal (brunch). Only one small serving of cream was delivered. Food was ok. We asked for chorizo on the side as we didn’t eat pork but the server didn’t mention that the chorizo was mixed in with the mushrooms - both (mixed) were served on the side. Server forgot who ate what so we had to remind him (after we had to flag him down to get us the bill). There didn’t seem to be anyone in charge.
Waitress was very attentive and friendly. Was quite loud in there during lunch, i could barely hear the person beside me...good energy, but not great for either business or a quiet night out. Food quality was good, portion was decent. Despite asking the waitress twice for no onions on my burger during the order, it still arrived with onions. Parking appears to be by valet only as it is a small, packed lot...valet was good, fast, friendly.
Food too salty and dry. Pointed out to server that there was half a French fry in my blackened swordfish taco (I ordered it with salad). The fry appeared to be half eaten. She replied "Oh" and that was it. I thought she would offer to replace it or at least give me a discount. When the bill came, the tip options were high and I didn't see a way to pick a different tip. I found out afterward that I could have selected "Other". Overall, it was an expensive lunch and not very good food and service was mediocre. I felt ripped off because I don't eat out often and this was supposed to be a treat. Will not suggest a business lunch here again.
As soon as our wine came to the table we were attacked by fruit flies, moved tables twice, steaks were cold by that point. Manager was nice about it and helpful but not nice for a second anniversary
Our server was friendly but her service was not so great. She failed to inform us about the extra charges for salads with our burgers when she asked us if we wanted fries and I asked what other options there were. Our burgers were not made according to how we ordered them. And we had to re ask for the condiments we had wanted. Cutlery was dirty and needed to be replaced.
Very slow service, almost non-existent waitstaff that we had to ask for everything.
I frequent Earl's Bridgepark for lunch meetings and afternoon happy hour where the service is speedy, the food great and the servers always pleasant. This was my 3rd time having weekend happy hour brunch there, and the 3rd time we received service that was slow, subpar, and unorganized. While you can't beat the value of a $9 brunch entree, be prepared to wait awhile for your food and even a regular coffee. The consistency isn't quite there as one time we had potatoes that tasted like it was fried in stale oil, the bacon was missing last time, and the egg on our avocado toast was way overcooked this time. Go for the price but do temper your expectations on everything else.
We were sitting by a window that was closed but there were flying bugs everywhere around our food and dead bugs on the windowsill right next to our table.
Delicious brunch with amazing service! The patio option is perfect too! Will definitely be back again!
One of the best "happpy hour" places. Great selection of food and drinks.
Our server, Andrea was wonderful - friendly, helpful & a smile that would light up a dark room - loved her! Music is too loud for our taste - difficult to carry on a conversation without shouting. Great bread - can I buy a loaf!!?
Terrific table service both indoors and on their patio. Outstanding selection of unique takes on fantastic food. Good selection of drinks and reasonable prices. Professional and friendly staff that is willing to accommodate special requests. Highly recommended and well worth the visit!
Food was great as usual. The Sante fe chicken salad continues to be my favourite dish! Our server was friendly and provided good service. Portions are worth the price.
Love the happy hour menu
With the new menu there is something different to try every time you go! Great food in a nice outdoor setting, relaxing great summer experience!
Outstanding service and quality of food. Our Hawaiian Happy Hour Happy Birthday Brunch was made special by staff and management. Can’t say enough great things about our experience this week-end at Earl’s Bridge Park location. All three generations who were present totally enjoyed the family gathering.
I had indicated on the reservation that we needed to get in and out in one hour, and our server accomplished that - 60 minutes to the dot! - in a very gracious and friendly manner, without making us feel rushed. Also appreciated the valet parking.
Waitress was not good service, she was added the extra food to my main course. Mushrooms and garlic bread etc. I really not like this service.
We arrive in the middle of the lunch rush and were lucky to get a parking spot. Upon entering, we were greeted by the hostess and taken to our table.
The waitress was friendly, but could've been a bit more attentive to refill our drinks.
We ordered chicken strips, and 2x soup, salad, and pan bread, and an order of hot wings. I was surprised that that came to $60, but I dont usually order soup and salad. Maybe I was just surprised by the sticker shock.
We found that the noise level was a bit high. It was difficult to hear our conversation clearly.
Otherwise, the dining experience was fine.
