Had a business lunch with colleagues. Food was tasty and service was prompt. We will return. PS - Get the Cajun Chicken. Was delicious.
Great as always.
Great food, great service. Perfect.
Usually a good dependable spot but this time the service was terrible. Apps cold when they did arrive and same with half the mains.
A few menu items have been removed that were good.
I would say that I would recommend this venue for a birthday BUT although our dining experience was good, we were asked several times what the occasion was. (50th birthday!!!) Congratulations and happy birthday were stated by staff but after spending a substantial amount for the evening, the birthday girl was not recognized by anyone with a complimentary cake, drink or anything....very disappointing at the end of a good evening. I am hoping that this was a one-off and it was forgotten but still very disappointing and not very good PR for Earls.
Went during their morning brunch happy hour. Great food and great value.
Good service by an attentive waitress. Bar drinks were reasonable in price and well made. Very noisy and hard to hold conversations. Otherwise, a good place to take friends for a meal. You can eat a little or eat lots. Good sized parking lot.
Great service. Please keep up the good work!
Our server was fabulous and was so accommodating that we wanted to wait until the 9pm happy hour!
It was a very enjoyable evening. Food was great and we weren't rushed. However, I found that it was quite noisy. It's great for large groups but not for a quiet dinner.
Japanese Sushi and steak below average, very disappointed. Regular steak is OK but not as good as expected
It’s quite noisy in the beginning but it quieted now after people started leaving. Overall, the service was fine.
The music was far too loud. Kitchen noise added to the noise level even though the place wasn't full of people. For this reason we rarely come to this place. They brought the wrong breakfast and the wrong bill. We weren't impressed. Portion size was good but hash browns had too much spice added.
Birthday dinner . . . We love Earl's but it was dine out and we ran out of choices. The food is always , however nachos were cold, the Salmon was a little well dome and the Proseco was flat! But the birthday cake was presented very nicely. Thank you.
A great lunch!
High energy room of very happy people.
Nice atmosphere but wven though we had a reservation they didn’t have our table ready. Then we were sent on the ‘uncool’ side of restaurant and surrounded by three families With kids. I think that’s why they wait to decide which side your given
Waiter was friendly and knowledgeable but I was totally turned off the upwelling. When deciding between three glasses of wine and a bottle she said better value with the bottle. That was only true if we had ordered larger wine glasses which we had no intention to do. And so on.
The salad I ordered did not have squash or beets as indicated in menu. Otherwise I enjoyed my salad very much. The noise from the bar side made it difficult to hear my friends I dined with.
Service was wonderful. It is the ONLY time I have ever been offered extra hot water for my tea without asking AND our server had the thermos with him so was able to top up the tea pot
immediately. (Unfortunately the water was not hot.) Food was excellent, very tasty and fresh.
The side salad was not overdressed (also rare) and the chicken tacos were very good though the taco itself was a bit crispy and did not fold easily - however the crisp texture did add a nice complement to the taco. Not sure if there was a managers meeting at Earls that day but we also had two 'managers?' come and check on our table to see if everything was ok. My only complaint about the restaurant is that it is typically very noisy - I did notice that we were seated in a booth at the far end of the dining room - likely in response to my request for a quieter table.. .very much appreciated.
Disappointed. The oven in the kitchen was inoperable, so it eliminated many items on the menu.
Our kids were unable to have their favourite pizzas. Our parents weren’t able to have their favourite Ribs.
It forced us to purchase more-expensive items on the menu.
There was no visit from the Manager. There was no offer of a free dessert or appetizer for this inconvenience.
Our server was very personable, but we felt that he didn’t convey the policies and high standards that we’ve come to know when visiting Earls.
The waitress needed to be trained about when to come to ask the right questions. For example, let people look at the menu and then ask what we want. I felt like we were getting rushed in and out. The restaurant was loud, and the menu appears to have become more like pub food than I remember before. If you want sports bar food, have a sports bar but don't try to sell it as fine dining.
Very busy, very loud, poor acoustics, very difficult to have a business conversation, short of shouting, varied menu, good food, service good.
Server was exceptional and food was good. Was pretty noisy though and challenging at times to hear and have a conversation.
We love it every time we come to the city we make it a point to stop here and eat before heading for the ferry
Soup and fries were kind of cold.
Salad was so old and wilted it reminded me of compost
While my special occasion was not recognized at all. We still had Great tacos and awesome gingerbread dessert.
Disappointed in the meal... boring food. Seems more like a steak house that isn’t sure what it wants to be.
Very nice. We go there quite often and it’s nice each time
It was great food and service but we found it too noisy and parking was hard to find
Service is slow and getting worse. Servers need to learn how to pronounce the names of food and wine as they sound like they know nothing when they pronounce words incorrectly. Lastly when I ask for the bill, I️ expect the bill to be presented within 10 minutes not 29 with a lame excuse that doesn’t make sense. Although I️ frequent your restaurant a few times a week, I️ find the service horrible
The staff here is absolutely fantastic! They accommodated our many changes and adjustments and made the night memorable! Special thanks to Chloe for doing such a great job helping us and bring so pleasant and upbeat! This is great to see as it happens in so few restaurants these days!
Great ambience and service, beautiful waitress! However, food was disappointed! Dishes served were not hot enough, fried coconut pawns were not fully cooked even replaced the second time. Shirlon obviously was frozen beef. Will not come again for the quality of food.
Very disappointed on this occasion. It was my birthday. The hostess pointed to a table, didn’t really seat us. The restaurant was virtually empty. I ordered the salmon dish which came with seasonal vegetables. The server didn’t tell me they would be covered in whipped cream. Our order was delivered by another server. No one asked how our meal was. My birthday was not acknowledged and our server was hard to locate. I will not celebrate anything special here again. I love Earls but not this time. 😢
Nice outdoor eating area on a warm sunny day. Service very slow and confused. Brought food to a couple people at our table, but probably took another 30 minutes before everyone else was served. They put some food down, but then took it back thinking it was the wrong table, and then brought it back again. A pizza was burned and returned, but the same pizza was brought back a few minutes later. Very slow, frustrating experience. Wouldn't go back.
Service was awful. Had to wait quite awhile to place our order. Once we did, they forgot to put our order in and when they did, food took a long time to come. The manager did come and apologise and brought some bread as peace offering. Service didn't pick up after that. We were never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks, we had to ask. When we finished eating, weren't asked if we wanted dessert. We had to ask for dessert menu. Then it took awhile for our dessert to come. Weren't asked if we wanted coffee or tea with dessert. Just overall bad experience. Will not be going back to this place or any other Earl's location.
My friends and myself all enjoyed our dishes. The waiter was very attentive. The only down side was the noise, it was difficult to have a conversation with people I hadn't had dinner with in over a year. I don't think that is something that can be controlled. But the tasty food made up for it.
Our server, Christina was amazing. She served our large party of 17 with ease and didn't miss a beat. The food came out timely and well executed. We will definitely come here again!
I found this restaurant on the open table app. I was used to what Earl's had as we are from Saskatchewan. This restaurant was similar with nice decor, trendy and upbeat with enthusiastic waiters and waitresses, and lets not forget about the food- quite tasty and plentiful. If there was one area to improve upon it would be - time. When we arrived, we were seated and then waited quite awhile before drinks were served and the order was taken. Lastly, the food took awhile to cook, like quite awhile, more than usual- over 1 hr. It was busy that night and I think they were short on cooks perhaps so orders got backed up; but, if you have time, Earl's was a good place to dine.
It was enjoyable until I found hair in the spinach dip upon the waitress collecting our plates. Maybe I played off the situation too casual but the waitress showed no remorse or offered any kind of compensation. Will not be returning. Also I have nothing against people sitting in the patio, but maybe the door that goes outside should be closed so bees don't invade the inside of the restaurant like they did.
