The calamari was too salty.
The fries with our Burgers were cold
It is not worth the money!
Always a pleasure! Love going here. Dining room was relaxed and our server was fantastic.
My friends attended happy hour at 9 pm. We sat at our table and our server wanted to take our order right away. We felt rushed and didn't have much time to settle down. Our server told us it was last call but when looking around people were still able to order drinks etc. Everything else was fine. Just wish we weren't so rushed.
Overall it was good l. The only thing was the music is too loud which makes people have to shout their order to the waiter and too hard to have a conversation...in my opinion theres no need for music to be that loud it's a restaurant.
Food was lacklustre for the price. One steak was thin and tough and the calamari is a complete waste of money. Mostly vegetables deep fried. Ribs were not hot and bland. Drinks were nice but expensive. Go to the still creek keg instead. Service there is hard to beat, food is infinitely better for a similar price.
Great staff and atmosphere. Always a good time at that particular Earls!
Great drinks, service and entrees. They were very accomodating with particular food needs/substitutes. Noise level is always high in this locale, and with masks even worse. We were seated next to the bar, next time will find a "quieter" spot.
A bit loud on the dining side
Excellent and timely table service (and a nice welcome at the door). Good, imaginative food (try the lobster-shrimp eggs Benedict sometime). We'll be back.
Server took ages to take our food order. Pre-ordered a meal and the server said they were 'out'. I had to tell them to go look at my reservation and speak to a manager.
Too bad. We searched for a place to have Turkey Dinner for Thanksgiving. Not something we typically do. Earls seemed to be a good choice with their website showing a ‘ book now’ for turkey dinner. I did for an nice early 6:00 booking for 6. Guess what - the beautiful bait and switch : “ sorry , we are sold out ( at 6:00???) “. With no where else to go we are stuck paying an outrageous price for mediocre steaks. AND to top that off I ask for gravy for the mashed potatoes to TRY and get a Thanksgiving sense to my meal. Bill comes and yup I got charged $2 for 2 ounces of gravy that was likely left over from all the Turkey dinners they sold off to Skip The Dishes customers vs saving it for the in-house diners that specifically booked for THAT meal.
So, Earl, 6 customers lost. Not just because the shoddy method to bring people in on Thanksgiving but because the food has lost value. 6 oz steak @ $37 ish and you pay for the gravy. Btw: if you wanted some pie- get ready to pay another $10//slice. This is Earls— not Morton’s
Our server was very very good. Friendly, helpful and polite. I think everyone at my table would give their food 5 stars but I gave 4 because mine was a little too salty. Lovely dinner and venue.
We had cajan pepper salmon and a seafood dish that was extraordinarily delicious. Our server Triston Brown was amazingly wonderful. He also introduced us to Brendon Lowry who had a lot in common with our knowledge of SFU football seeing he played on the team. These two gentlemen added to our "very satisfactory" evening. We will come again soon.
Brandon the manager was outstanding . He made us comfortable as we had to wait . I did find the restaurant busy . Brandon came and checked up on us and we had a great time
Our server was very attentive and professional. Good customer service is not dead!
Arrived early to get a table on the patio. Got a great spot. Our server was excellent. Service was fast and meal was very good. Thank you.
I did check that we were there for our anniversary but it was not mentioned while we were there at all? Seemed liked a special occasion
-Food was good as expected.
-Service was slow after ordering
-Seating was good (Covid-style)
-Coffee was TERRIBLE!
-Bottom line: 5:10
That's my story.
Great dinner, great service in a beautiful fall setting.
We were seated inside in the lounge - it was a little darker because we were sort of put in a poorly lit corner. That's okay though. The highlight of the experience was really our server.
Huge shoutout to Ben, our server, who knew exactly what we wanted. Kept our table clean, and was very quick with everything. Thanks Ben!
Because of COVID-19, I appreciate a well spaced out patio with heaters. Earls fits the bill. The servers were friendly and efficient.
Our server was in a mood that evening. Didn't show much customer service wasn't checking on us and messed up our order. She seemed very listless as if she didn't like working there at all. Ruined our mood and we were celebrating a birthday too.
The food was excellent and the service terrific. We had a very enjoyable experience. Would highly recommend eating at this location.
Service was terrible. Table was filthy when we arrived. Sanitation was not being done.
Server didn't seem to know the menu very well. Food came out wrong.
Stunning as usual. They forgot our side plates and cutlery for a while, but no matter. It happens from time to time. Food and drinks are great as always!
Very good table spacing- it was great to be out for lunch!
Was great Music a little loud but was accomodated as they turned it down a bit so to be able to talk without screaming No problems
Potato salad and coleslaw were tasteless. Ribs and poke bowl were good. It was too noisy
Conversation during dinner for four at crowded Earl's Bridge Park in Burnaby was made uncomfortable by noise although we were as far removed from the bar as possible. My measuring app showed typical level of 85 db, peak of 90 db.
I ordered the $16.75 Chipotle Calamari for the table as a starter. It was a sad version of the dish pictured on the online menu. Instead of being crispy, light and tender, it was like a dish of rubber bands. The overcooked dish was returned.
My Cajun chicken was described as "blackened full breast of chicken, garlic butter, warm potato salad, smoky bacon, coleslaw." The unattractive plate had only chicken and coleslaw but the latter was tough, bland and mostly inedible. It had probably been sitting around too long.
The others at the table were reasonably satisfied with lobster and prawn ravioli, chicken Hunan Kung Pao and hot chicken sandwich.
We ordered a bottle of wine but got only two glasses and had to ask for additional. The server barely interacted with our table and was either too busy or distracted. Between our four meals and another table with three pre-teen children, the tab was about $250 before tip.
Not a satisfactory experience.
My friends and I went to dinner at Earles in Burnaby on Saturday night September 19. The place was packed but seem to be within Covid protocols. However the noise level from the music was so loud that everyone was having to raise their voice in the restaurant. Our server had to lean right into our table to take an order or answer questions. And that’s not the worst of it. It took forever for our meals to come in when it finally did my medium well steak looked a bit off. It was definitely well done but there was something not right about the texture but I was so freaking hungry at this point that I ate it anyways. By 3 AM I was in the bathroom, violently ill. My friends at the table agreed that it was probably mistake. It may have been sitting for quite some time before it was served. Who knows. I called the restaurant and was pretty much told that it was last nights crew that did that and not much can be done about it today. I’ve also sent a complaint to Fraser Health Authority about the matter But I’m told that they are so overwhelmed that they are not responding to a lot of complaints. This is just a heads up for anyone considering going to the Burnaby location.
Service was good but consistently we notice half the time French fries are cold or Luke warm. Never ssdisgied with coffee served. Always cold or Luke warm when because of the experience we consistently have we always insist on piping hot coffee but never materialis. Always cold of Luke warm before we even put the cream. Also coffee is too strong. Need to get a better brand. Rest of the food is good or excellent. Service is normally very good.
We were seated well while maintaining social distancing. The waiter was young and seems inexperienced. it took 10 minutes before we were asked for the drinks. We ordered a glass of wine each. 10 minutes later the waiter said the wine dispenser was not working. We said may be the bar person could dispense of the wine order from a bottle. He came back saying the bar would not serve house wine from a bottle unless we want the whole bottle. At this point we asked to forget about the wine and got each a beer. The food was ok the Baked salmon was ok but the rice portion was almost a small spoon worth, while the asparagus were a little tough. My partner had a curry bowl.
We asked for separate bills only to see both orders on the same bill.
The service is not what we are used to from Earls. On a scale of 10 I give it a 2..... Barely
I was craving the Prawn linguini dish but was disappointed you took it of the menu the day before. But I did enjoy the tuna poke bowl.
Food and service was great but felt uncomfortable with the number of people in the building and the closeness of guests being seated at tables. We also witnessed our waitress on numerous occasions clear tables, including our own, dispose of the items in the back and process to come out and serve people drinks and touch other things without washing her hands. A few other times it was noted that kitchen staff were taking there masks on and off. Was unsettling given our current circumstances. We love the location and the food though, but would like to see the sanitary practices cleaned up a bit.
Love that the noise level has been lowered for business luncheons. Thank you
Seated in the lounge it was a nice casual space. Our server that day was awesome. Consistent food quality and awesome service.
The Bridge Park Team was Amazing! Excellent sanitizing protocol, and fantastic service! We had a great time, I highly recommend the spinach dip, as well as, the plant based burger as a main, .....And an Extra special thanks to Camila! She implemented 5 Star service!
Good Job Bridge Park!
