Service was terrible. Table was filthy when we arrived. Sanitation was not being done.
Server didn't seem to know the menu very well. Food came out wrong.
Stunning as usual. They forgot our side plates and cutlery for a while, but no matter. It happens from time to time. Food and drinks are great as always!
Very good table spacing- it was great to be out for lunch!
Was great Music a little loud but was accomodated as they turned it down a bit so to be able to talk without screaming No problems
Potato salad and coleslaw were tasteless. Ribs and poke bowl were good. It was too noisy
Conversation during dinner for four at crowded Earl's Bridge Park in Burnaby was made uncomfortable by noise although we were as far removed from the bar as possible. My measuring app showed typical level of 85 db, peak of 90 db.
I ordered the $16.75 Chipotle Calamari for the table as a starter. It was a sad version of the dish pictured on the online menu. Instead of being crispy, light and tender, it was like a dish of rubber bands. The overcooked dish was returned.
My Cajun chicken was described as "blackened full breast of chicken, garlic butter, warm potato salad, smoky bacon, coleslaw." The unattractive plate had only chicken and coleslaw but the latter was tough, bland and mostly inedible. It had probably been sitting around too long.
The others at the table were reasonably satisfied with lobster and prawn ravioli, chicken Hunan Kung Pao and hot chicken sandwich.
We ordered a bottle of wine but got only two glasses and had to ask for additional. The server barely interacted with our table and was either too busy or distracted. Between our four meals and another table with three pre-teen children, the tab was about $250 before tip.
Not a satisfactory experience.
My friends and I went to dinner at Earles in Burnaby on Saturday night September 19. The place was packed but seem to be within Covid protocols. However the noise level from the music was so loud that everyone was having to raise their voice in the restaurant. Our server had to lean right into our table to take an order or answer questions. And that’s not the worst of it. It took forever for our meals to come in when it finally did my medium well steak looked a bit off. It was definitely well done but there was something not right about the texture but I was so freaking hungry at this point that I ate it anyways. By 3 AM I was in the bathroom, violently ill. My friends at the table agreed that it was probably mistake. It may have been sitting for quite some time before it was served. Who knows. I called the restaurant and was pretty much told that it was last nights crew that did that and not much can be done about it today. I’ve also sent a complaint to Fraser Health Authority about the matter But I’m told that they are so overwhelmed that they are not responding to a lot of complaints. This is just a heads up for anyone considering going to the Burnaby location.
Service was good but consistently we notice half the time French fries are cold or Luke warm. Never ssdisgied with coffee served. Always cold or Luke warm when because of the experience we consistently have we always insist on piping hot coffee but never materialis. Always cold of Luke warm before we even put the cream. Also coffee is too strong. Need to get a better brand. Rest of the food is good or excellent. Service is normally very good.
We were seated well while maintaining social distancing. The waiter was young and seems inexperienced. it took 10 minutes before we were asked for the drinks. We ordered a glass of wine each. 10 minutes later the waiter said the wine dispenser was not working. We said may be the bar person could dispense of the wine order from a bottle. He came back saying the bar would not serve house wine from a bottle unless we want the whole bottle. At this point we asked to forget about the wine and got each a beer. The food was ok the Baked salmon was ok but the rice portion was almost a small spoon worth, while the asparagus were a little tough. My partner had a curry bowl.
We asked for separate bills only to see both orders on the same bill.
The service is not what we are used to from Earls. On a scale of 10 I give it a 2..... Barely
I was craving the Prawn linguini dish but was disappointed you took it of the menu the day before. But I did enjoy the tuna poke bowl.
Food and service was great but felt uncomfortable with the number of people in the building and the closeness of guests being seated at tables. We also witnessed our waitress on numerous occasions clear tables, including our own, dispose of the items in the back and process to come out and serve people drinks and touch other things without washing her hands. A few other times it was noted that kitchen staff were taking there masks on and off. Was unsettling given our current circumstances. We love the location and the food though, but would like to see the sanitary practices cleaned up a bit.
Love that the noise level has been lowered for business luncheons. Thank you
Seated in the lounge it was a nice casual space. Our server that day was awesome. Consistent food quality and awesome service.
The Bridge Park Team was Amazing! Excellent sanitizing protocol, and fantastic service! We had a great time, I highly recommend the spinach dip, as well as, the plant based burger as a main, .....And an Extra special thanks to Camila! She implemented 5 Star service!
Good Job Bridge Park!
Overall experience was good, service was a bit slow and hard to get the server because he was looking after a lot of tables
A very lovely summer evening on a warm and inviting patio. Server Shannon was engaging and attentive.
Food was delish but was a bit sad that the crispy tofu bowl was no longer in the menu.
Very much enjoyed, thank you.
Booked a reservation same day, showed up and was seated immediately. Service was great and the food was Amazing.
Great place to eat. Service was good. Food was good. Overall was a good experience.
The only reason we visited Earl's is because we had a gift certificate and unfortunately, I was reminded why. There seems to be a greater generation gap than ever between the young people they're hiring and the mature couples that still enjoy an evening out at a local eatery. Read your demographic. Servers need to stop calling everyone 'guys'. I know it's the most overused vernacular of this generation but please...train your servers. Our server also didn't know how to serve wine. I ordered it. It took 15 minutes to receive and when our server did finally arrive with the wine she apologized saying the bar was behind in polishing glasses. She then proceeded to show the entire table what us 'guys' had order, opened it and poured my Dad a full glass, then my husband, then me (the person who actually ordered the wine). She also didn't know how to pour wine, spilling it and touching the edge of the glass with the bottle. Yikes. Zero wine etiquette. Earls on Lougheed Highway...train your servers!! Overall, food was very good and our server got better as the evening progressed. I won't go back.
Great selection on the menu! All three of us ordered different meals and thoroughly enjoyed them. We felt safe on the patio as all wait staff were wearing masks and our table was well distanced from other patrons. The meal arrived quickly and drinks were refilled as well.
We always have a great time at Earls for our business lunch! The patio is fabulous and social distancing is well done. Sanitizer for everyone coming into the restaurant!
Generally this Earl's is great, but this time not so much.
have to say this is my least best experience at this Earl's ever. I've been dining here for over 10 years.
i think it was just a total "off" day.
but good company....
and as this isn't the norm... I will be back.
Great food, great service. We were very happy to get a table outside. It was a wonderful time.
Our server was attentive and pleasant. She also chose our table to have bill waived, which was a great surprise. We took that into consideration for the tip : )
Very good all around. Very loud table behind us but appeared they were having fun.
I've mentioned this the last two times I've been there....you have fruit flies. Very bothersome in your dining area (northside)
Server Taylor B was great!
Our steak dinners were perfect!
Always a excellent time!!
Staff is always very attentive.
Love this restaurant and location!! Best food and service!! My server was Rachel and she went above and beyond and was very attentive and made great food recommendations. I love everything we ordered! We were a party of 6 and she was patient and took care of all our needs. Would absolutely be returning!
Really great inside! The update is nice and does well to cover a lot of the covid-19 precautions. Spacing is good, pace of service is good, and food is always spectacular.
We had a fantastic time, our server was great! She was attentive, and concise. She made sure we had everything wee needed. I mentioned we had ordered the spinach dip at Earls Test Kitchen, and I ended up with a piece of plastic in the dip, and that we would prefer no plastic. Low and behold, no plastic! Amazing!
Very nice lunch with friends on the patio of Earls Bridgepark. The food was good, beer cold, social distancing in place. Above all, the service was excellent. I would like to thank Tianna for booking the table, our server Jesse for keeping the glasses full, and Marina, the day manager Marina who took care of everything else with big smile on her face. Great job ladies, kudos to all of you. I hope we'll see you soon again.
Always an excellent choice whether you want appys, lunch, dinner! Excellent physical distancing and hand sanitizer upon entering!!! Outstanding!!
Earl's is always the best. Pleasant people, quick service, and even better food. Test location is always amazing for anyone what wants to try something new, but within the realm of the Earl's palate.
This location is a great place to go after work. All staff was very kind to us and our server Taylor kept checking in on us. The food and drinks were amazing! Definitely will be back!
Social distancing perfect. Joshua, our server, wonderful. Food, tasty. We will be back!
There was confusion at reception. No one was outside but there was a sign which indicated we were to use a different entrance from the regular one. We followed the sign as did the party ahead and behind us did. We were all glared at and great fuss that we came to wrong entrance. When we explained hostess said “yes we knew- everyone gets confused” Then CHANGE the sign. I had reserved a table for 2 Two days in advance. It was a special birthday I had requested patio seating. We were told by hostess we could not sit on patio because there were only 2 of us.
Great Service. Our Server was fantastic. Great food and all round experience!
Greeters confused on table selection, took long to take to selected table.
Very accommodating during COVID-19 era. Simple, fast, and good communication
