It was our first time back in many years. We all enjoyed our meals. I would have given a higher score but my steak was overcooked than I ordered, however it was still soft and tender. We will be back.
With COVID restrictions throughout the city it was very nice to see the measures that Earls is taking to ensure the safety of their customers.
The food was great and our server Rob was excellent!
The food was delicious and the portions were more than generous. I couldn’t finish my meal. I was very satisfied. The staff were very attentive.
Still too noisy. Can't hear staff easily since they are talking through face masks. Even the hostess.
Had reserved a spot on the patio, but it was raining so were inside.
Felt very "safe" though.
I would like to see a little more atmosphere, it was so stark. Perhaps that s to do with COVID.
Good although it took over 20 mins to get a server to take our orders
Staff are working very hard to provide a healthy, safe restaurant to enjoy a meal out. I enjoyed a baked salmon with a feta sauce it was outstanding. Flavor was a delight to the palate
Front of house staff was no professional. Any types of bread tasted old/hard. The restaurant seemed safe to eat at during a pandemic. Until I saw a staff member get kissed on the hands and go on to touch other things and be in close contact with multiple people without masks.
We dined at the Fir Street location; staff were professional and organized. Server, Elisha was fantastic and deserves kudos for providing friendly and efficient service. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience! 😊👍
It was our first night out after a lockdown. We were actually a little bit nervous at first, but your level of cleanliness and service boosted our confidence right away! 😊 Thank you for an amazing service and hospitality! What a way to bounce back, guys! Thank you again and keep going! ✊🏻😁❤️
Lots of space between the tables and the different groups, mandatory hand sanitizer at the entrance and waitstaff wearing face masks; it felt like a safe dining experience. Super friendly and efficient waiter.
Good experience, staff was great especially during COVID, food was as expected, drinks could be better for price. Ambiance could be better( more moody/intimate lighting vs. other locations. Overall good
So nice to be out again!
WE had a helpful server who was attentive and helpful. The social distancing was very appropriate. Making a reservation ahead of time was helpful and we did not have a wait.
I brought a gift card to use but they didn't know how to process it at first
So then I used my credit card to purchase the dinner.
Then after they figured out that the gift card needed to be used like a prepaid credit card. But they wouldn't refund the amount and redo the transaction using the gift card. Disappointed.
Very pleasant ambiance, although the restaurant was required to only seat a few people because of coved-19, the ambiance was very nice. It felt fun and energetic. Music was playing and people were talking. Food was good although the fries were undercooked and soggy. The service was very good, food came out quickly, though one drink was forgotten by the waiter. Overall, very nice experience.
We loved our server, I think his name was Robin. The menu was pretty standard
As someone who has eaten lunch at Earls every Friday for the last ten years and often during the week it was a special treat to see you back the only thing that bothers me is that it is not possible to pay the bills on a 1/2 full restaurant so just how long is this going to last?I usually have the Fillet and its always terrific but this time it was outstanding (tender as a womens heart) Keep up the good work----BILL
Great service during a very challenging time for everyone working in this industry. They are handling it beautifully.
My partner and her parents decided to try happy hour this past Saturday. The hostess told us all breakfast items were $9.75 as did our server. We thought we ordered items from the happy hour section of the menu but when the bill came only 1 out of the 3 items were $9.75, the rest were full price. We asked the server and she advised us that “not all breakfast items were included.” The happy hour menu was confusing as was the conflicting messages from staff. This should not happen! Breakfast was fine but try another location for happy hour....
Always a nice place to go with your friends no matter what age you are.
We start out with Happy Hour and stay later.,, never rushed. Food and service are great. The Servers always have great energy and personalities.
We booked a table of 10ppl for a going away celebration for our German volunteers. The table was ready to go when we arrived and overall the service and food and drinks were great. The only thing that was consistent around the table was that our server just didn’t come around often enough and we were often sitting around waiting to Order more drinks. Other than that we felt it was a great choice for our event. Thank you!
The food and service are excellent, as well as accessible parking. The only drawback is the high noise levels (music) that border on the unhealthy db levels. It is difficult to follow conversations and often one has to raise the voice in order to communicate across a table.
The wheelchair parking spot was illegally occupied. My husband dropped me off but it took him many minutes to find a parking space.
Good brunch but would have liked a little more choice on the menu.
Food was mediocre. Crisp potatoes were super soft. Service wS good to excellent.Noise level was pretty high. We were seated close to the cooking area and often treated to the smell of burnt fish from other guests orders. Not really a place I can recommend. I guess it might be popular with millenials.
All of our food came cold and when we said anything the manager was very apologetic and said they would buy us a round of drinks. We didnt want another round but then didnt comp our drinks but at that point we just wanted to leave. Normally the food is amazing but it was pretty disappointing.
Service was not attentive - we had to physically flag down our server for a coffee refill and again for hot sauce. We actually got up to go look for an empty glass to decant some of the ice from our drink to.
Very nice restaurant and would recommend for lunch &/or dinner
Evening happy hour is great! Good valu,
Love the crispy chicken sandwich!
Service was poor. Only really there when it was time to pay (and tip).
Food was overcooked, slow service and wrong order. Good location and atmosphere.
Always enjoyable and pleasant ambience, attentive and helpful staff, and great food and drinks.
Our server was competent and friendly. If only it were a bit quieter but not much to do there.
My friends & I enjoyed the lunch we had Earl's, at Granville & Fir, Vancouver. It was good value or money.
Since the remodeling of your restaurant we found it extremely noisy at lunch yesterday. We always request a table at the north end of your dining area where it’s always been quieter but not so this time.
In future, Will have to ask the staff members for the quietest area.
Earls is the best kitchen in Vancouver. Food was amazing, service, atmosphere was very nice. I definitely come back again.
Went for Happy Hour. Decent value for what you got. Everything was very garlic covered however. The entire restaurant smelled of garlic. The fries were dreadfully soggy, we even sent them back for fresh ones but they were equally soggy.
The Santa Fe chicken salad was great and so was the Kung Pao, I would recommend those.
Our food tastes great! Service was excellent
I ordered the Cajun salmon. It was so salty. It was served with rice but two weeks ago when I ordered it it came with mashed potatoes and wasn’t as salty. Inconsistent.
Clam chowder was good.
Bacon cheeseburger was pretty standard. Yam fries also too salty.
Ordered the buffalo cauliflower, I specifically asked for the sauce on the side because it is usually soaked in sauce. When the appetizer came out, the ratio of celery sticks to cauliflower was the same. The value was not there. I mentioned it to the waitress, they kindly provided another half order.
