Treated a few friends to brunch that was very good, look forward to doing it all again next weekend! Eggs Benny was great!

Family gathering but near the kitchen which was incredibly noisy. My niece had several issues getting a coke but overall was good
We enjoyed our food. The Korean wings were very good. The waitress was very pleasant. The watchamacallit white wine was very good.
The music was at a good level for us to have conversation. The lighting and atmosphere had a calm and intimate feeling.
The calamari was good though I wish something more imaginative could be done with calamari.
I will return. Pleasant, warm and dependable.
We have been to this Earls numerous times and were very disappointed in the service today. Our food took 45 minutes to arrive and the service continued to be slow for us (e.g. I asked for salt and by the time it arrived, my food was cold). No apologies from our server. In the meantime, other guests arrived after us and received their food before us. Very disappointed today. Also, not sure what was wrong with the system. Our reservation was for 12:30, but Earls had it in their system for 11:30?
Noisy, slow, worse than average food. Staff forgot about us at the bar (although we had a reservation), brought wrong order three times (after bringing right one!). Place smelled of ketchup (vinegar) and food was very ordinary. Worst margarita (cocktail) I’ve had in North America.
I go to earls a lot as it’s convenient and reliable. We go at least once/week. However ever since they changed managers about 1 1/2 year ago (I think) the service has really changed or the worse. I shouldn’t blame management exactly, I just feel like it’s the reason. Well today was so bad. Our food took one hour to come. The waitress was grumpy. Not one smile. Never came to check on us nevertheless to apologize for the delay. The food was cold by the time it came to the table and my fettuccine Alfredo had almost no sauce and my daughter’s was like a soup. Anyhow, hope they get it together soon as it’s been my family’s go to place.
The burger was extremely salty and the quality of the food overall has been on the decline at this location...the service is not the greatest; always required to ask for side plates/utensils...
We had a group of family, 10 of us and our waiter was very good with the kid end of the table as well as the adult end.

Good location for a business lunch in a commercial area of town. The menu was contemporary American fare and had a good bottle list with excellent service. I would return for future lunch meetings.
Great location near downtown Vancouver and right off the Granville bridge, some parking at restaurant otherwise lots of street parking in the area and within walking distance. Friendly and attentive hostess and wait staff. Extensive menu and great food.
We were seated in the front; heaters much too hot; benches not comfortable.
Food was great. Our waitress was hard to find at times and seemed a little busy. Value is amazing and ambiance is wonderful as well.

The event organization was great, they set up my table for 20 people in a very busy day. Some times the service was taking too long, especially to bring the drinks. The food was very tasty and it was happy hour, so foods and drinks were in a very good deal.
We dined at Earl's (Fir St) restaurant on Thanksgiving Monday. The restaurant was so dysfunctional. There were long waits and two tables next to me left very unhappy. It looked as though they had cut their dinners short. Another table of women next to me were laughing about how bad the service was. They described the atmosphere as chaotic.
When our food came (The Thanksgiving Turkey dinner) is was cold. The potatoes were runny as though liquid had been added to make them go further. And they weren't warm...they were actually cold. There was no gravy as advertised. The turkey was dried out. There was only squash, no greens. When I asked where the brussel sprouts were, I was told that they had run out. The food looked like it had been dumped on my plate. I was shocked that the chef and server would server such poor quality food. Where was their judgment? The food was returned to the kitchen and we ordered something else which also took a ridiculously long time to arrive. Even people at the next table commented on how long we had to wait.
I spoke to the manager who didn't do a great job of dealing with the issue. He did pay for an appetizer and drinks (1 wine and 1 pop) but given our disappointment over our much anticipated Thanksgiving meal that was ruined, I felt that the entire meal should have been complimentary. I still had to pay a $90 bill for 3 people for one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had.
I have been a long time customer of Earl's but I don't think I'll be coming back. If the manager had dealt with this properly, I might have given the staff the benefit of the doubt and written it off as a really bad night. But the manager's poor customer relations skills has sealed the deal for me .
Sunday dinner out w/hubby & 2kids to celebrate a quiet post anniversary family dinner. Took forever for waitress to appear. Our order was taken by manager & food took forever. Eventually only 1appetizer arrived instead of bringing kids’ food out quickly. Missing items & finally I just got up & went to get cutlery that should have been brought out much sooner. They did remove drinks from final bill to try to make a better impression.
I have been going to Earls for years and the food is consistently good, I've never been disappointed.
One of the best happy hour menus in Vancouver. Lots of choices in different price ranges. Servers always friendly and attentive
Service has been steadily declining at this location for the last year. Last night we had a reservation but despite this we appeared to have no server assigned to our table. We had to flag down a manager to order our drinks and food. When the food came they forgot one item and we had to flag someone down again to have that delivered. There was no clearing of plates until we specifically asked the manager to clear them. One of our party ordered coffee and this was forgotten until we asked a passing server to bring it.
The server was very nice but clearly was not able to handle her section, whether this was due to inexperience or being overwhelmed was not clear.
We used to come here all the time and we love the food but the service is consistently bad the last few times we have been there.
Food was quite good, service was slow and inattentive; unusual for Earls. Sushi was too cold, not freshly made I'd guess.

The wings are normally great at Earls and I will go there just for the wings. Unfortunately this time they weren't. They weren't hot enough or crispy. It was as if they were fried, left under the heat lamp, then tossed in sauce a few minutes later.
I had the steak with mashed potatoes, and green beans in a flavourful sauce. I loved it, but some would not because the sauce was highly salted.
The reason I would not recommend this earls in particular was the volume. It was so loud you had to basically shout to hear people. We were on the covered patio.
Overall the food was fine, except for my meal. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Salad
and it was not enjoyable. Lettuce was drowned in dressing and limp. Tuna was so tiny and chewy and the flavour was not a good taste. Quite a disappointment. Presentation was
not appealing as well.
My two guests said they enjoyed their meals.

Despite the fact that we have been here before and to other Earls locations, we were very disappointed this time. Two of our party thought that the fish and chips lacked flavour, two thought the curried chicken dish was lackluster and the fifth person was underwhelmed by the tuna portion. In addition we had to try to get the attention of our server when we wanted more beverages and when we wanted our bill. Not what we have come to expect of Earls.
i thought I would give Earl's another try since I have not dined there for years but not much has changed as the food quality is pretty poor. I would not go back.
The food and service were fine but having reserved a table for 5 at least 2 weeks before this event I was very disappointed in the shape and location of the table. The table was long and narrow beside a high traffic area, which meant that no one could sit on the fourth side, kind of like a scene in a movie with all the guests facing the camera. I knew Earls is not known for quiet ambience, but we could not hear each other without shouting down the long table. All in all, I was extremely disappointed.
Didn't receive confirmation of our reservation (for 7:45pm) until 2 hours after we had returned home (midnight).
Dining room was very very noisy.
Staff all seemed frazzled.
Server was asked to recommend a glass of dry white whine- enthusiastically suggested the Chardonnay....
Food was underwhelming (frozen veggie burger?), and appetizers arrived at the same time as mains.
Watched the table behind us complain hardily about their wait for food (reasonably so), then be ignored for the rest of their visit, even as they were trying to pay the bill and leave.
Eating at Earl's is always fun and satisfying. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the food is the best of any chain restaurant, and the decor is clean and comfortable.
Always enjoy the food at Earls. The only challenge is that for a business lunch it gets a bit noisy and hard to have a conversation.
The service was efficient and friendly.
Service was very good, they have the allergy binder should you have anyone in your party with allergies and the staff and management was reassuring in making sure the food was prepared without the allergens. Staff and manager took the time to make sure everything was to our satisfaction and would fix it if it wasn't. Best experience I've had in an Earl's as I haven't been there in almost a decade due to my past experiences in other locations not being so good.
tried the grilled chicken caesar salad. the chicken was cajun style and was quite good with a nice cajun spice. the actual caesar was mediocre and seemed a bit tired and flavourless

The service training needs to get improved. We ordered 5 entrees included salmon, chicken, and steaks. The salmon was great but the others tasted just okay.
