Earls Kitchen + Bar - Fir Street - Vancouver
Noisy, sat out on enclosed patio, it was cold, needed blankets to keep warm. Waitress turned on heaters for us but it took some time for us to get comfortable.
Good selection of brunch items, creative menu, healthy options, reasonable price.
Family Birthday dinner
It was all right.
Great service and food!
The restaurant was quite loud but it wasn’t a problem for me.
It is in the heart of Kits and has a rich menu. Reservation is a must especially during Happy Hour. A lively restaurant...
Was happy with everything except the noise level- I would call it too loud - not “energetic “.
Menu has limited choices, terrible tasting food and sloppy presentation - plate of crispy calamar was full of loose pieces of batter ; oven baked salmon was overcooked with unappetizing jasmine rice & tough broccolini . Definitely not a very pleasant dining experience for meeting friends from overseas !!
Would never go back
well done. Good service and fast too. Food was hot and tasty
We have been coming for family birthdays etc for many years but this was disappointing. The menu seems to have changed and the food was largely mediocre. Service was also not great.. rather slow and inattentive.
Good food and service!
Had an amazing birthday here, the staff were very kind accompanying us. Thank you for making this experience so memorable!
Came here for happy hour and getting our waitress down was a little slow but food was great!
Reservation made through open table was not registered at Earl's. Fortunately they had space but I'm reluctant to trust this booking system in future.
Great place when eating out with friends with different dietary needs. Everyone can find something that will appeal to their taste buds.
Staff is always super helpful and attentive. Good value for $
No air condition! Why was it not turned on when it’s 30 degrees?! I might as well just eat at home!
When I was seated to my table, I told the host that the rest of my party would be arriving in the next 10 mins. 20 mins later, after wondering where the rest of my group was, I found out by text that they sat my party at a different table than me and told them that I had not arrived yet! I had a reservation and they marked me as having arrived when I came in!
My wife and I had finished a long day of errands and wanted to treat ourselves. Timing being perfect we searched for online recommendations for Happy Hour Specials. Earls was both close by and had good reviews so we stopped by! Service was great, food was yummy, ambience was nice and the price was ideal.... Good way to end the day!
Amazing food and unreal service!! We had an awesome server who was super helpful and friendly!
Solid as usual. Food and service are both excellent
Server was great and food was value for money
Good food and our server was excellent! Probably one of the best ever. He got our 4 year old’s food order out in record time and was very attentive to our needs. Thanks also to the cooks for their speed!
Great server.....awesome food! I had the dynamite roll which was superb. My friends had salmon that they loved. My only comment is that I asked for a table in the bar.....they didn’t seem to know about my request. They were able to seat us in the bar so all was fabulous.
Excellent service as per usual & fantastic brunch, our party of 5 were very happy. First time seating in the lounge which was quieter than the bar area.
BBQ rib is really really nice, taste greatly. You should be ready for waiting for a long time to order or service in the afternoon, it seems that the waitress are not enough.
It was a Sunday shortly after opening so it tends to get crowed especially if it is a sunny day. Thank goodness we had reservations. Got in ok -the food was very good, but the service is slow. Maybe it is too few servers for the place but we had to beg for coffee on more than 1 occasion and 1 order was screwed up-that person really had to wait for eggs benedict. Server disappeared at times-hard to get her attention. They should have someone circling with a coffee all the time. Otherwise a very tasty meal.
Always a great time at Earls. Best happy hour in town!
Sunday Brunch from 11AM to Noon is a good deal, very reasonable. Service was a bit slow at times. Good coffee. Ambiance is good, except a bit of a draft from the door so watch where you sit if it's a bit chilly outside. Great for a casual get-together with friends and family.
Family dinner worked well here as it is centrally located from the north shore , kits and the valley
I have meals at Earl's as I am able to eat delicious food that are Gluten Free (serious allergy).
Still always have to extra sensitive to "Gluten Aware" GA and possible cross contamination, but so far ok.
Also servers are great, friendly, responsive and make good food recommendations like warm Kale salad, yummie! Dine out with family, friends and work colleagues, some are vegan, GA etc..
Treated a few friends to brunch that was very good, look forward to doing it all again next weekend! Eggs Benny was great!
I would just ask that the fresh sheets and menus get a "wipe" once in awhile, thanks!
Food was subpar, other locations , food better. Service painfully slow.
Great ambiance - buzzing. Good options for happy hour. Great service!
Amazing lunch, and the 50% off any wine bottle on Tuesday is hard to resist
Family gathering but near the kitchen which was incredibly noisy. My niece had several issues getting a coke but overall was good
We enjoyed our food. The Korean wings were very good. The waitress was very pleasant. The watchamacallit white wine was very good.
The music was at a good level for us to have conversation. The lighting and atmosphere had a calm and intimate feeling.
The calamari was good though I wish something more imaginative could be done with calamari.
I will return. Pleasant, warm and dependable.
We have been to this Earls numerous times and were very disappointed in the service today. Our food took 45 minutes to arrive and the service continued to be slow for us (e.g. I asked for salt and by the time it arrived, my food was cold). No apologies from our server. In the meantime, other guests arrived after us and received their food before us. Very disappointed today. Also, not sure what was wrong with the system. Our reservation was for 12:30, but Earls had it in their system for 11:30?
Noisy, slow, worse than average food. Staff forgot about us at the bar (although we had a reservation), brought wrong order three times (after bringing right one!). Place smelled of ketchup (vinegar) and food was very ordinary. Worst margarita (cocktail) I’ve had in North America.
I go to earls a lot as it’s convenient and reliable. We go at least once/week. However ever since they changed managers about 1 1/2 year ago (I think) the service has really changed or the worse. I shouldn’t blame management exactly, I just feel like it’s the reason. Well today was so bad. Our food took one hour to come. The waitress was grumpy. Not one smile. Never came to check on us nevertheless to apologize for the delay. The food was cold by the time it came to the table and my fettuccine Alfredo had almost no sauce and my daughter’s was like a soup. Anyhow, hope they get it together soon as it’s been my family’s go to place.
The burger was extremely salty and the quality of the food overall has been on the decline at this location...the service is not the greatest; always required to ask for side plates/utensils...
We had a group of family, 10 of us and our waiter was very good with the kid end of the table as well as the adult end.
Fun and good food was had by all!
Good location for a business lunch in a commercial area of town. The menu was contemporary American fare and had a good bottle list with excellent service. I would return for future lunch meetings.
