My friend and I were catching up from the Holidays and our server, Gerald?, gave us a lot of time and privacy to do this. He provided excellent service - just enough attention but not overcrowding us. Food was great as usual and although it was busy, we were able to carry on a conversation at a normal level. Felt lively and it was a fun atmosphere
My wife and I dine here often as the service is normally great and the food is good and consistent for quality and presentation. I met my brother here for lunch today for an 11:30am reservation. The greeter was pleasant and professional. From there it was all downhill. We asked for coffee twice and were served. We both ordered the lunch size clam chowder. At best it was lukewarm. We never saw our server again for at least 45 minutes. I don’t know about anyone else but I prefer my soup to be hot. I don’t mind letting it cool slightly if need be but I can’t tolerate luke warm soup (even this is a stretch). Especially a creamy soup like New England style clam chowder. In any case I ate about one half of mine and my brother did finish most of his. At no time did our server stop by to question if we were enjoying our meals. We were very disappointed. I know in these times that staffing can be an issue with all the new Covid outbreaks but that did not appear to be the case today.
The bill was finally presented after about 30 minutes after we finished, I asked to speak to the manager. To her credit she listened to our complaints and a complete surprise; she comped our bill AND gave us each a gift card for future dining
I would have rather had a better lunch and service and happily paid for it but her gesture went a long way to making us feel important.
I will go back as this was an exception to what we expect when we dine here.
My friend and I always meet at least once a year here just to catch up! Always have great service & food is excellent.
The service by our waitress was not good. We were charged an extra drink which was not ours. When it came to payment, our waitress didn't give us the space or time to think about the bill and instead just stood up close at our table eager for us to pay. Hence, we didn't catch the mistake until we called back to request a copy of the receipt. The waitress also did not mention or let us know about the additional costs that were associated with extra slush and double shots to our drinks (nowhere was it mentioned on the menu either). The additional fee to the double-shot was understandable, but the stern attitude that our waitress exhibited
made us feel flustered to choose fast. The subtlety in asking us about extras without notification showed how money-hungry she was; this was evident alongside when she was eager for us to pay. This made the entire experience awkward and unwelcoming.
Outstanding Service and friendliness from all staff.
Shared Chicken tacos for starters were good.
For mains I had steak and sushi. Meat came in a sauce that was too heavily seasoned for my taste but was cooked beautifully.
My friend had blackened chicken w/ warm potato salad and slaw. He said it was good but there was way too much slaw…. Almost like it was filler and was the same slaw on the tacos. High prices but that’s everywhere now.
The ambiance was warm and congenial. Parking was right there and the resto had plenty of space to manoeuvre my walker. I would go again!!
Our salmon dinners were disappointing, dry and not as flavourful as expected.
The Dine Out menu was not good value, with what we ordered we barely saved $1.00 which I find a little deceiving. The Happy Hour wine was a good deal. The dessert was amazing and very generous portion.
The service was mostly good other than we had expressed we were in no rush and did not want our entrees brought until we had finished with our soup and salads but..... sadly as I find often happens they were brought before we were finished. I like my food really hot thus when I still have salad to eat makes it difficult. More disappointing than we expected.
I would not strongly recommend especially the Dine Out as had we ordered the Tuna poke we would had paid more than ordering it without the Dine out offer.
There is many other restaurants in the area we enjoy more for dinner.
Your Happy Hour menu is amazing and we will be back for Happy Hour.
Business lunch meeting - perfect!
Food was ok. Expensive for the quality of the food. My bun was stale. Fries were tepid Eve though I asked for them crispy.
Happy atmosphere - great attentive service and delicious food! Highly recommend!
Whoever made the martini had no idea: it was served in an awkward cocktail glass & had way too much vermouth My crab cake was luke warm. Salmon & feta aioli itself was very good, rice on the hard side. My husband’s Sirloin was ok - - server said green pepper corn would be on the side but it drowned the steak & did not have the delicate flavor usually expected of creamy green peppercorn sauce. Wine is over priced.
The Kung Pao was poor and I sent it back . The staff explained the change. I was not charged for it.
My wife’s burger was fine.
The staff is friendly and the service is excellent.
The kusshi oysters on the half shell were amazing a must for all raw oyster lovers . I am one happy customer hopping this delicious treat stays on the menu forever .Well done Earl’s
I wanted to order the tofu sushi tacos, as they were on the plant based menu. Although, my server informed me that they were in fact not plant based because of the mayonnaise and the unagi sauce. My server said that everyone has a different idea of what plant based is, and was very apologetic! Which I appreciated, though I was confused because an item with egg and fish was on the ‘plant based’ menu.
Serbice was pleasant and efficient. We were in and out in 90 minutes including coffee and desert after brunch.
It was my parent's wedding anniversary so we last minute decided to go out for dinner. Our server, Lily, was kind enough to gift my parents a glass of prosecco each. Her service was A1, she even laughed at my dad's horrible jokes which I'm truly sorry she had to hear. Food was amazing and the service was amazing. Lily is very personable. Thank you again.
Our waitress was fab, so kind, attentive and respectful. High vibe.
We came to Earls for a last minute appie/drink night. The appies weren’t bad, we had the chicken tacos which were good, although the truffle fries were over peppered and dry. We liked our drinks. Unfortunately, our server took so long to come back to check on us, both after getting our drinks and our food, that by the time he returned to see how the food was, we were completely done with our plates stacked. And even though we wanted to stay and order more, we were just tired of waiting, so we asked for our bill instead of ordering more.
Earl's is my goto restaurant in Vancouver for business meetings. Great cocktails and fresh food with modern twists. I have not been disappointed at any Earl's.
Well organized. Good eating experience. Felt well distanced.
Sadly, a bad experience this time around. Poorly staffed and long wait for food and not up to Earl's standard.
Cold and drafty the whole evening where we were sat, ordered sushi and steak. Sushi was great, steak was very dry and underwhelming. The service was slow and asked for a house red and was brought a $27 glass of wine instead without knowing. Usually like earls but this was not a great experience
Excellent! Will definitely return.
Our server was delightful and attentive. The food was very good and we enjoyed a nice evening with half priced wines!
Chicken Karrage was nothing like chicken karrage in Japanese restaurants - too much breading and not juicy. Small side Caesar was poor - lettuce not crisp. Serving staff were busy, but attentive, although it took too long to bring condiments, drink refill.
everything was great except that we had to wait a long time before we were able to order
Good meals for both of us. Nice ambiance. Good service. The non alcoholic lemonade drink is the best! Steak was delicious! Very nice waitress! Birthday celebration.
Perfect steak frites and a very attentive waitress even though she was busy. Will definitely be back!
Staff pleasant and attentive but honestly, the ladies using their “sing song” voice is really annoying! Just speak normally and respectfully, not like we’re babies or feeble old people!
And asking questions such as “how is my day going so far?” or “what my plans are for the rest of the day?” is really inappropriate and certainly not THEIR business. Whoever started that practice in the restaurant business should be fired!
Earls offers good food and usually excellent service. Yesterday was no exception. Our Server was excellent. Food very tasty.
I’ve have eaten at your location, probably hundreds of Times over the years.
OUR RIBS WERE EXCELLENT AND ONE GUEST'S SALAD WAS ALSO GOOD BUT THE OTHER GUEST'S STEAK WAS BORDERING ON BLUE RARE AND HE HAD ASKED FOR IT MEDIUM. I WAS ALSO UNCOMFORTABLY COLD ALTHOUGH WE ASKED FOR MORE HEAT. OUR WAITRESS WAS OUTSTANDING!
Birthday celebration in which we were not asked if we'd like more drinks, no water refills, food took longer than usual.
all was good, a great place for an afternoon business meeting!
Very good lunch!
Nice restaurant. Service was a little slow, but to be fair, it was an unusually busy Wednesday evening for Earl's. Food was nice, the ribs could've used more sauce and I should have asked without coleslaw, didn't like how bitter it was. Still, I liked my meal and I would like to go back for more.
Amazing brunch, highly recommend the Chorizo Hash - watermelon mimosa delicious!
The presentation was light and the Kung Pao was noodles and veg and it seemed to be missing something. The meats were cooked perfect.
The ribeye was great. Server was very attentive and professional.
Everything was lovely. Reported me as a no show with open table even though I was there.
I find servers at the beginning quite pushy to order; then later on they don't look if one needs something (like another glass of wine). On top of it I don't appreciate being asked by a server what else I will do on that evening. Really, that is not of their business. I am not a very young person and would appreciate it to be treated with more respect.
