We came to your South Surrey Earls last night for dinner and were excited to try out your new location and were disappointed. We have been going to Earls for years and this time the service was really disappointing. The restaurant was almost empty on a Sunday night where we had gone out to celebrate a Birthday of my mom, a Health Care worker. We were looking forward to going out and the service and attentiveness of the waitress was not great. We ordered appetizers and were not given cutlery to eat, or napkins. We waited for the waitress for nearly 10 minutes. She came close, we tried to flag her over and she didn't see us each time. When I finally flagged her down, she apologized and got cutlery for us, however the appetizers were not nearly as warm as we would have liked to have enjoyed them. Then when our dinner came, upon placing the food down we asked for salt and pepper, hot sauce and a side of peppercorn that got missed from our original order. Again, we waited another 10 minutes. When we finally saw the waitress, she said she should go check on it, but to be honest there was a big group of staff gathered by the bar talking while we were trying to track her down that could have brought it out to us if it was waiting at the kitchen. When she did bring it, the steaks we ordered weren't as hot as we would have liked to have eaten them and we had started eating without the things we desired to make our meals complete.
I don't think with an empty restaurant and that many available staff gathering and chatting at the bar, we should have had to wait this long for both of our requests. It made our experience unsatisfactory, as we were waiting and wondering where and when we would be able to get what we needed. We were not a difficult table and did not make any comments, but now that I think about it- we took out a front line worker for her birthday and were not treated as I would have expected.
Looking forward to hearing back from you regarding this.
Had happy hour brekkie with hubby!! Was so good!! I had the lobster/crab omelet with salad and hubby had the Forager/salad. A cappuccino and latte were also required and all hit the spot!! Deeelicious!! We plan to come back!!
The server was very pleasant but food took a long time, as did getting the bill etc. Which we found odd as the hostesses reminded us to keep our meal under 2 hrs. Unfortunately, none of the 3 of us were impressed with the quality of food, the spinach dip was awesome everything was just ok, but not great.
We love Earls in Morgan Crossing! We live a 3 minute walk away. The staff is so pleasant now server's by name. Went on Friday and had a excellent dinner. Highly recommended.
We love Earls Whislter lounge as well!
Wonderful food as usual. Good job of working within the current restrictions and still creating a great dining experience
I already spoke to a manager. We waited 40 minutes for garlic fries. When they got to our table they were cold. The waitress brought out new ones a while later and took care of that portion of the bill. Not the greatest experience we’ve had. Usually it’s top notch. Maybe just an off dat.
So good having Earl’s back in this area. The was as great as ever
Very sad about it. Service was very bad and slow . Food was cold. No one was coming to take the order. . Bad experience.
Our server was also the bartender and she did an amazing job.
The whole experience was balls deep. This place is exquisite. Don’t delay, get there today!!!!
Amazing food amazing service, especially during the pandemic.
The bartender had great hair, Robert was his name
Hair in my son’s meal. People at the next table were extremely loud (talking and laughing) and not wearing masks. Didn’t seem like they were cognizant of others around them.
Restaurant closed without telling us and we had a reservation. My husband went without his birthday lunch.
We had a great day of celebrating my friends birthday with covid restrictions of course. The bill came and it was 500 dollars. We paid the bill and gave a 30% tip however, the waitress was not happy with the amount given which was more than she should’ve got for her service, hence, she asked for more tip. We were shocked and believe that she asked because the restaurant was shut down and everyone was busy cleaning up.
Enjoyed the decor inside the restaurant. Tables were well separated with plexiglass and servers were wearing face masks. Service was excellent. We had an issue with our meals not being hot so sent them back, our server was great about taking away the cold plates and reordering new ones. The reordered meals came back slightly warmer, warm enough that we ate them but still not hot. Food itself would have been great, just needed to be a better temperature
Great food! Delicious margaritas and excellent atmosphere
Very well organized with entering, seating and exiting. Would go again!
My son wanted to come here for his birthday. The waitress was really friendly and the food was really good.
Lots of staff standing around for service being so slow, food was cold, can' even get vinegar unless they enter it in their ipad, had finished my meal by the time it showed up.
A very enjoyable consistent experience! We love the service we get and look forward to visiting again!
First time at this location. It was nice but noise level from bar was too loud- mostly another patron. We were closer to the door and felt the cold air everytime someone stood there with it open.
Great to have Earls in the neighborhood, great food freat service.
Servers were friendly and attentive. Ambiance was very cozy and it was nice that the restaurant wasn’t packed. I ordered the Poke bowl and thought there wasn’t enough tuna and there was too much rice. My husband ordered a burger and the fries wasn’t fresh, hence it was cold.
Good food, safety precautions taken
Didn’t actually eat but had to answer?
Kids meals very expensive. Main meal quality not great. Doesn’t feel like Covid guidelines in place - packed restaurant.
Love the bright natural light and ambiance...food is classic good Earls. Some of these servers are new to the business... patience is required but ours was a quick learner!
There was a girl seating at the bar swearing at us. And I was celebrating my 40th. So I talked to our waitress to either move us as she was ridiculous. Management cane to apologize and took care of her.
The food was good, although it took over half an hour after we ordered. As well, even after we mentioned that there were several with gluten allergies at the table, a meal arrived with a bun. No gluten free option. Otherwise, a nice meal.
It was a cold rainy night and it was nice to walk into the restaurant it was very warm and cosy and inviting there were some specials on the menu that we really appreciated it was a Monday night and all steaks were on special for $21 I will waitress a young lady recently moved from Edmonton by the name of Madison
She made us feel welcome and was very helpful with the menu options
The food was outrageously good and it won’t be long before we we will be visiting there again trying some other items on the menu I would recommend it to anyone it’s a great addition to South Surrey in White rock thank you Earls
Staff are so friendly and service is always the best
Servers were excellent. Staff were great with my son’s nut allergy.
I was greeted by the hostess when I arrived and immediately taken to my table with no wait, even though my friend did not arrive for another 10 min. The server was friendly and knowledgeable, making suggestions for items that we did not see on the menu. The food was delicious and the server continued to make sure we had everything we wanted. A very pleasant lunch experience!
Abdul and Desirae provided excellent service behind the bar and the food was great.
Anniversary great ambiance , friendly service, good size portions snd very tasty - i had lobster ravioli and he had the ribs. Would go again - highly recommend.
Always a great experience
Great place but don’t sit next to the two exits as one door is open frequently for pickups, the other is the covid designated exit. Too cold.....
It was a great meal and the appetizers were very good. The waiter was fabulous! The only issue is that we were sat near the exit door and every time it opened we froze.
