Very nice and great service
After hearing good things about this restaurant we decided to try it out for a birthday dinner, however we were very disappointed with the lack of communication in our meal choices (ie. we were told a dish was not spicy and did not contain onions, to have the dish brought out to 4 our of 5 people from our party and all were disappointed with its incredibly spicy flavour. It was so spicy none were able to finish it). After speaking with the server about our meals and how to bills were to be split, she brought the bills which were split incorrectly. When we tried to explain how they were incorrect, she proceeded to rip the bills from our hand, say sorry (with a lot of attitude I must say) and walk away. Overall, service was great to begin with but after a few issues the server was not happy clearly. We overheard her talking about our table to another server. Just extremely disappointed and feel disrespected by our server for something that was not meant to be made a big deal.
Reasonable price for downtown..Food ok. Service good.
Nice room, good food. Wine ridiculously priced. I don't feel like I should spend almost the price of a bottle for a 9 oz glass. This alone would make me think twice about returning, although the food was good and the service competent. My companions all enjoyed the steak and I thought the mussels were very good.
skip the banana cream pie, it's new on the menu but not worth the calories.
We were here for a Mothers Day dinner after coming from a matinee viewing of Come from Away. We had reservations and everything was fine (food, service, menu) however sitting us in the bar section with all the large screens didn't really fit a mother's day dinner for 2 grandmothers in attendance. There was plenty of room on the dining room side, which would have been more appealing to the grandmothers.
Earl's is in a great location and loved their semi-outdoor patio! We went for my birthday and the Sunday brunch specials. The food was delicious. The server was really nice and gave me a rose and mimosa for my birthday instead of Mother's Day. Definitely recommend!
If I had to use one word to describe my experience it would be : beautiful.
The restaurant needs an improvement in quality of food. The sushi I ordered was 95% rice. The tuna in one of the orders gave me an upset stomach.
Fantastic Service and Fantastic Food. Great Location. We love going.
The food was so good! We had the swordfish tacos and a chop salad with salmon along with the Hawaiian coconut prawns. The drinks were even better. Our waiter was excellent. Very attentive for such a busy night. The place is large but gets very loud. Seems like a place for happy hour for business professionals. But we really enjoyed the set up and I think having a waiter on top of everything when it was so busy really made our experience that much better.
Four of us enjoyed a great dinner at Earls. We were seated in the dining room which was nice as it was a bit quieter than the lounge area. Our server Eric was fantastic - very engaging, polite and most importantly, provided excellent service! We all ordered different entrees; steak, fish tacos, mussels and curry. All were delicious!
This restaurant needs to answer their phone and call people back. I tried calling to modify the reservation to a large group and no one answered or called back when I left a message. I called too many times to count. I don’t know how a restaurant can operate like this in downtown Toronto of all places.
The atmosphere is great and the setting is very welcoming. The patio fills up quick so you better come EARLy...I'm not sorry.
The waitress we had was Ronnie. She was quick and on point. It's a little high price for the younger crowd but overall it's great.
this is a long time favorite chain from living in BC. disappointed with service, surly and inattentive at bar, and amazingly slow and inattentive at dinner. brought friends from out of country hoping to show them a lovely fun delicious meal and everyone was so annoyed by the service and wait it was sad.
We had a ver large group at short notice and they were fabulous- very accommodating and great service. They even allowed individual bills for 26 people! Nice wine options and the salmon was lovely.
VERY noisy large group near us distracted a bit from our enjoyment.
Our waitress Ronnie was amazing - very attentive, listened, made great recommendations and was very engaging. Her service was prompt. Well done!
Excellent food and excellent service! Chicken tacos were fantastic. The best tomato soup I’ve ever had. Great atmosphere! Overall enjoyable experience!!
Food was amazing, recommend the Yucatán chicken tacos and the sushi platter. The mixed drinks are small for the price but worth it! The server started out great but then disappeared for 45 minutes until bringing us the check. The rest of the experience was fabulous and we will definitely be back.
Our group of 7 (6 women and 1 son) had a wonderful dinner at Earls on Friday evening. Delicious food but the best part was our waiter Dylan. Outstanding service from him!!
Loved everything about Earls...the vibe, decor, service, drinks, and food was 5-Star quality.
Excellent way to end a work day with friends!!!!!!
I was impressed with the knowledge and flexibility that the server offered with menu items. My friend and I were celebrating our birthdays, and not only did the server leave us alone for a bit so that we could chat, but she didn't charge us for dessert. The food was great, and the service was impeccable.
Absolutely the best in service and energy from the staff. Bloody Cesar’s easily in the top 5 in the city.
I have eaten at Earl's in Winnipeg and Edmonton in past years. I was thrilled when Earl's came to Toronto. I was not disappointed. I'll be back.
great tasting food.. chocolate dessert to die for!
We were a party of 9 from out of town working a trade show. We will definitely be back to Earl’s! All 9 of us had fantastic food and great drinks. We were all impressed. The decor, ambiance and service were all top notch! Even the washrooms were amazing. Great place and definitely a hidden gem if you’ve never been you need to discover this place.
Good food, good drink selection and great service👍
Fantastic service and food :) always a joy to dine there!
On previous occasions I have been to Earl's for lunch with business associates. I usually find the restaurant quite noisy but on this occasion as our party was only 4 people we were seated in a booth and the noise level was more acceptable for conversation. Earl's was suggested by one of the members of our group specifically for one of your salad dishes. I and two others opted for steak and it was cooked to perfection. The service was excellent and our water glasses were filled constantly throughout our stay.
I would return to Earl's for dinner again. This time I might bring my spouse.
Been going for years and it’s consistently great. PATH connection is a huge advantage.
Old friends gathered for a catch up lunch at Earl's. It was a perfect choice -- I requested (and received) a table off to the side where we could linger. It was a stormy afternoon but inside it was cosy with a good crowd creating a nice atmosphere. The staff were wonderful and the good food and reasonable prices made the whole afternoon memorable. Will return.
Efficient and fast service for business lunch
Our waitress was most pleasant and accommodating. The restaurant is well situated for pre-theatre meal. It's a few minutes walk to the Royal Alex. It's probably the best of the lot unless you want to go really upscale.
Whatever they have masquerading as Sticky toffee Pudding, isn't.
great service and food. perfect for dinner. loved the 1/2 price Tuesday wine bottle
Great food, nice decor, would have been better to have no music playing as it was a bit loud to hear others -- it was also quite full and the additional noise wasn't needed.
Earl's is our goto when we're downtown and off to or from a show or performance.. wonderful drinks, suburb service - always friendly, great variety and food choices and apps are great if you prefer. Never feel rushed or any pressure at all. Having been to various Earl's out in Western Canada many times, so happy to have them in Toronto. Great experience and look forward to returning soon.
Perfect in everyway, don’t change anything. Only used earls for business lunch’s and always been great!
Great minus the douchebag who requested to watch the Winnipeg game instead of the Leafs
My salad was delicious, my dessert not. The chocolate toffee pudding was not tasty the way it was in the past: too sweet. I looove dessert!! But did not enjoy eating the pudding. The ice cream and wafer basket were superb as usual.
