Earls Kitchen + Bar - King Street
Was there to watch the Raptors game as well. Would have liked the volume of the game to be a tad higher but it was a good level for good conversation.
Overall nice restaurant. Had a party of 8 the wait time for food and alcohol was very long. When the food arrived after 1hr plus, it was very cold. I was very impressed how the manger resolved everything. I wish the evening turned out a little better but at least they resolved everything that went wrong.
Great brunch! We will be back for sure. Great quality food and wonderful service.
very good food and wonderful place for friends gathering at a convenient location in the downtown toronto
My Santa Fe chicken salad was soggy and no discernible taste
Always vibrant setting with consistent food
Really enjoyed the new addition to the menu that I tried. The Lobster Tostada was great. Job well done by the chef on this menu item.
Service was great too.
Great experience overall, loved the Rhino beer, spinach & artichoke dip was great and the steak was impeccable.
My only gripe is my father had Cajun chicken which was massively over burnt and the spices were way to much.
Other than that, most enjoyable and would recommend to anyone.
Took my mom for Mother's Day. Always a reliable spot. Interesting cocktails, lovely patio for a downtown spot.
Almost an hour from arrival to arrival of entree - one was very hot (good) and one was ice cold. No offer to get drinks other than water before placing food order. Prob won’t return
Amazing experience! Loved the food. I had the salmon and switched out the jasmin rice for mash potatoes and it was soooo delicious. Our server was super sweet as well. Will definitely be back.
At 430 we were sat at a table for 4 at the very back, right beside the washrooms and beside a family with screaming children. We were 5 adults, including a 91 year old with a cane. When we asked to move it was initially made a very bid deal, and then finally was taken care of. My husband has written to head office as it was a mother’s day and Birthday celebration.
Food was good as always - loved my burger with garlic fries, and the Santa Fe salad is great too! Our waiter was not great though. Didn’t seem to read my reservation notes, said hi but didn’t serve water until asking about our drinks, and took quite a while for other tasks. Food was served quickly though for what we ordered.
The food is A1 here and there is a nice variety. You are not rushed in and out and the wait staff is very knowledgeable.
The wine served tasted like it was yesterday’s bottle. The tofu tacos were bland. I won’t return.
There is always a great selection of food on the menu and we’ve never been disappointed.
Still enjoy the place though.
Wine prices are fairly expensive.
Will definitely return but would like Earls to make drink prices more affordable.
There is a lot of competition now and it would be an idea to have more specials
or happy hour deals like Joeys restaurants.
Have been long term customers of Earls and want to continue so hopefully they
can make it easier to afford an outing.
Even though the food was wonderful, the noise was dreadful & made it impossible to have a conversation at the table without shouting.
So it is unlikely we would come back.
Very friendly staff and amazing atmosphere. The food and drink are always delicious.
I love Earls! Always a great time, they have one of my favourite cheeseburgers and we went on Cinqo de Mayo so the margaritas were $5, can't beat that! One thing we noticed is when we were ready to get our bill and stopped ordering, our waitress wasn't as attentive, but it was busy. Not a big deal, but worth noting. She still did a great job.
Great food and service.
Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. The food was good and served on a timely basis.
The croutons on the Caesar salad tasted old. They were very much on the ball with regards to our shellfish allergy. Her meal was good so other choices may be worth the visit.
The service was a bit slow and team a bit disorganized from front door in. Our waitress was pleasant. I disliked the way our reservation communication was written as it had an edge of attitude. Food here is steadily good and there are options for all. They are very good about allergies etc. Drinks were delicious. Maybe it is just me, competition is fierce in the financial district, there is an opportunity for Earl’s to not join the pack but differentiate with a more pleasant experience.
Great food, great service. Bar area a bit noisy but manageable.
Good service. Food was great!! Good place for business lunches.
Great dinner - service was excellent.
It was a bit loud but we were seated near the bar so that is expected.
I had a reservation for 3 people, however we added 2 more when we arrived. The hostess were great at accommodating us and we had a great time!
The food was good but our server kept on forgetting things and a couple of our dishes came out warm rather than hot. It could have been because they were busier than expected and couldn't keep up with the demand.
The noise level when we were having supper was deafening. I fear for the hearing of the servers as prolonged exposure has to be harmful. We have been at Earl's at lunch and I believe it was much better.
If my wife and I and friends want to eat out , we want to be able to talk at reasonable levels not having to yell to be heard /
Good experience, Friendly waiter, Great food
1 order was wrong twice and the server was a little tricky to get ahold of to fix it but the remaining dishes were good and the desserts were excellent. My grandmother was hoping a candle might be brought out as it was a special birthday but I suppose we should've made it more clear that's what we were hoping for.
Great service. Our waitress knew we needed to leave by a certain time so made sure our food came out quickly and we were able to leave with some time to spare.
Asked fkr a dining room was placed in a dark corner in bar section even with reservations ahead of time it was too loud food was mediocre. Apps were great. Drinks were gross, salad seemed old. Unsatisfying
Amazing our server Montana was the best!
Ordered soup, salad and pan bread.
Tomato soup was excellent Salad was hum drum and pan bread was so-so.
Overall found the meal to be ‘nothing special’. Could make a better one myself at home
Food is pretty mediocre. I had a margharita pizza which was burnt and even the crust was greasy. Otherwise everything else was pretty solid including drinks and service.
Had reservations and we were seated immediately upon arrival. Our server was very pleasant. Service and the food were both good. An enjoyable evening.
We love the service and the food was out of this world. We were in Toronto for two nights and we ate at Earls both night. So yummy
My Tuna Poke bowl was outstanding and I will definitely order that again. My husband had the chicken fettuccine and he enjoyed it. It also came with a giant piece of bread that I thought he wouldn’t eat entirely...but he did! It’s a great place to go before a show at one of the theatres or symphony. Staff are very accommodating even though we one time didn’t make a reservation. Would definitely be returning.
