Earls Kitchen + Bar - King Street
First time and we were impressed! Great decor and atmosphere inside! Great value. Sushi roll was by far the best thing we ate. Just delicious!. My husband said his burger was really good which is a big deal for him. He said it was classic done well and the garlic fries were tasty!. My crispy tofu bowl was good! Only negative part about our food was the tofu. Was very bland! I wish the tofu pieces were seasoned better and smaller in size. That way you are left with the crispy outside texture, not the mushy/soft inside. Service was great! Overall a wonderful experience! Still thinking about that Sushi..... yum! Thanks Earl's, we will be back!
Waitress made this one of our best dining experiences in Toronto. The clam chowder was delicious and the kung pao was great. Concensus at the table was that the NY Cheesecake is the best.
While the service and decor was excellent, the food was mediocre. The restaurant touts its vegetarian menu, but the food was subpar. The sushi was not rolled correctly and we ordered 2 appetizers, the bread and balsamic vinegar and garlic fries, both which were mediocre. The balsamic vinegar dressing for the bread was awful. The only thing that was good was the dessert, we got the caramel sundae. It was overrated and overpriced.
I have already recommended Earl's to many friends!!! Lol I posted my wonderful experience on FB! We will return, thank you!
Staff are very attentive & friendly. We love the feel of the inside atmosphere. Food is worth the price.
Came to Toronto for a Raptors game - first time at this Earls! Did not disappoint ~ beautiful restaurant ~ amazing food ~ excellent service! Lovely evening!
Felt like we were on on time limit due to it being new years eve day, staff stated. Spinach app was not memorable. Chips were not made in house, and not warmed. Plate presentation was average, on main steak was great had the New York. Expected more than just mashed. With the amount of options for finer dining in TO I would suggest a menu revamp presents as dated. We were sat right by the kitchen at a 345 reservation with 75% of the restaurant empty. Kitchen and wait staff loud at main kitchen doorway, profanity observe while interacting forgetting that people are trying to enjoy a nice meal.
Food was nothing spectacular. Found a foreign object in my street chicken tacos. Told my waitress who took the dish away. She did not apologize even though I only had 1 out of the 3 tacos. Spoke to the manager and he offered me 15% off of my bill.
This was the first time visiting this restaurant. Made a reservation for a friend and I to enjoy dinner. We were welcomed and seated quickly, everyone was very polite and courteous. Food was very good. I had the Cajun, oven baked salmon and it was great!
I do want to specifically mention our server Yasmine. Along with her hospitality and great smile, she made my friend feel ok about a couple of things she was wanting that were no longer on the menu( btw update the menu on the website to match the in house menu). She made the experience one to remember and wanting to return. Thank you Yasmine for creating a great experience.
When booking through open table it would be helpful to know if you the table being offered was in the bar area or the dining area. We were placed in the bar area and it was very loud for our family dinner. The staff was accommodating and we eventually did request to move to a quieter area of the bar area.
I would tell you who served me but she never introduced herself, we ate our appetizers to share with no side plates, our dirty plates remained in front of us, no one asked us if we wanted another drink or how the food was, steak was sent back twice for being undercooked. We had to physically flag down multiple servers to get the steak cooked to medium rare - should be not be difficult to cook a steak medium rare. Overall - not a good experience. Would not recommend.
Everything was good from staff to food to location.
Second time I've been to Earl's. First time was a dinner and date with my husband. It was such a great atmosphere i recommended to my work mates for our Christmas dinner. The seating was perfect for our group of 9. The selection of menu was what made everyone agree to go but once we were there everyone loved the atmosphere. We usually go to the Keg but we all agreed Earls was better. The noise level was perfect and it wasn't so dark we could see each other and our menus. Food was great.
Fabulous food, friendly staff, great prices and selection
All good. The Restaurant Server was so nice, and that young gentleman made the difference.
We were seated immediately. Room was cheerful and welcoming. The server even more so. The food was simply amazing.
Enjoyed ourselves immensely.
The meal was excellent service was great .
I had the peppercorn sirloin steak . It was cooked perfectly. My husband had the New York Strip Loin. It too was excellent.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant.👍
Food is always delicious! Our service was exceptional! The two waitresses that served our party of 11 were absolutely fantastic...knowledgeable, good-humoured & effective communicators, which can be hard with a boisterous crowd of 11:)). Bravo, ladies!!! Give them a raise & have them train newbies!
Great food and and great service. A little pricey 100.00 for two meals and a drink.
Incorrect menu from website. Service was ok, not great.
Went to Earls before the theatre as it was close to the show. Good food at a decent price a little noise to have a conversation but to be expected I guess on a Friday night.
They were slow on serving us our beers later on, thehy seemed to have issues with a number of kegs, but other than that, the atmosphere was terrific, thanks largely to the live music. Fun night!
Went on a Wednesday night with friend for drink and it was packed with Xmas group dinners. Kinda loud but that’s ok. Service was attentive and we had spinach dips and I also had scallops risotto which was cooked perfect. This is a summer patio spot for me now I will also go for the winter warm ambiance!
Amazing service! Spencer is great. Drinks and food service were quick! Great vegetarian options
I reserved a table to meet a friend for a holiday lunch at Earls and it was amazing. Not only did we have great food, great service and overall great value, the atmosphere was amazing. Although it was crowded, the way table are positioned you are not right on top of other people and you are able to carry out a conversation without yelling. The waitress was really great as well. I will always recommend you.
The food was great, found it very loud to have a business conversation. The waitress wasn’t very attentive as were weren’t ordering alcohol and just soft drinks. Overall good experience.
The music was WAY too loud! Other than that it was wonderful!
Excellent steak, attentive and helpful staff. Just needs music a bit softer.
All good except asked for a mild Caesar. It was HOT! Our server fixed the problem. Was very apologetic and brought me a fresh one.
Mother/daughter get away weekend
Great atmosphere, service, friendliness plus excellent food. We had the Cajun chicken and half Cajun chicken and BBQ ribs. One thing you should be aware of is that it is noisy.
Great as usual just the music is a little loud making conversation a challenge
Very friendly and helpful waitress. Enjoyed the ambiance. Good selection of food. Hard to find value meals.
We had a very fun evening. Food overall was good. To share, we ordered the chicken won ton appetizers which were excellent and buffalo califlower was good. I had the chicken sandwich - which was very good. We were a group of six. One ordered the scallop risotto which she loved. Others ordered salmon, veggie tacos, and the soup and salad. Everyone enjoyed what they had and we would definitely go back for a casual meal.
Food was fantastic. Server was persistent to have us order. We felt rushed and even got annoyed. I understand she wants to turn over her table for the next service so she can get more pay but to the point we were clear in our messaging.
Loved our server. Can’t remember her name but she was phenomenal. So engaging, friendly and efficient. Hope we get her again!! ❤️
Earls is a favourite. The food is always consistently tasty, fresh, hot and exactly as ordered. The servers are always friendly and professional and the ambiance is always happy. Our favourite is definitely the Cajun chicken!!
The food and service was excellent, only complaint is that they cranked the heat just as lunch started and it got uncomfortable.
I’m not sure if it was the location of where my table was but when I left my coat, clothes and hair all smelled of food! The menu was all over the place some Asian food some North American food... nothing seemed very appetizing. The sushi was okay. I think more pictures would help.
