Earls Kitchen + Bar - Station Square
This new location features energizing kitchen views from every seat, a cozy dining room, a lively and social bar, and an impressive patio with sliding doors that let the patio vibes to flow into the restaurant. Our menu is the perfect mix of healthy and indulgent, which includes classics like the Cajun Chicken, as well as new menu items like the Vegan Beyond Burger and Thai Lobster Salad.
Earls Station Square is a vibrant space with a design and menu that have been curated specifically for Burnaby’s residents. We are proud to feature local and Burnaby-born artists that uniquely reflect the community’s global influences.
I normally do not submit a review right after dining, but Earls Station Square outdid themselves in treating our two tables of 4 very well. We dined at 5:00 pm via reservations with Open Table and had a great time with catching up with friends. Timing of drinks and food was perfect during our conversations. Topped off with the NYC cheesecake that was recommended by Ivica, our Server. Then the extra topping for this wonderful evening was when Janeya, the Floor Manager, picked up the tab for one of our tables.
We will definitely be back, not because of the paid tab of one our tables, but how we were treated like VIPs.

Excellent Job during these trying times. I had an issue with my Calamari being cold when it came to the table and the waitress took care of it right away and replaced it with a hot dish and comp'd it from our bill...very good customer service!

Excellent brunch! We sat on the patio and it was lovely.
Easily one of the best places to grab a bit in the Metrotown area. We're sort of regulars, so maybe we're biased. Having said that, yet to have a bad experience there. Top-notch!
Everything was good.
One thing though, water for customers should not be kept where's there foot traffic or at least be covered.
First time at this location. Staff was attentive but not overbearing. Food was well-priced, fair-portioned, and flavourful.
I found the prices too high. Safety was good and service was good.
We were on the patio and the construction noise was terrible (not much you can do about that)
I got the berry salad with prawns and it was delicious but my favourite item was the coconut lime margarita! Thanks!

It’s earls. They know what they are doing. Patio is good. Efficiently run. No issues booking a table. Food is good. I liked my salad and buddy liked his burger.

Understood about distancing. At beginning was told about the exits. But, was not told about reading menu online. Seemed not happy when we want to use machine to pay

Nice time as always food is consistent. I would like to see music videos instead off old sports reruns in the bar booths that give no ambiance at all and are distracting on a date !
I love this location. The set up is amazing. It just looks so gorgeous. My friend and I had a table in the out door seating area. It didn’t feel overly hot which was kind of nice so we could still enjoy the nice weather and the good food. I wish I had gotten the name of the girl who was helping us but she was amazing. Very knowledgeable and friendly. She often checked on us to make sure we were okay or I’d we wanted anything else. She even suggested a drink honestly tasted so amazing.
I called at 2pm to make a same day reservation. The person on the phone said she can’t take a same day reservation. I asked when did this happen, she replied since opening. I know this is not true as I’ve been making reservations day of and I come at least once a week since this location has opened. I then went online and made a reservation for the same day at 3:15. We got there early and was seated and ordered by 3:05. I had a beer and finished it, still no food. At 3:40 I flagged our server and asked for another beer, inquired about the food and she said oh it’s coming, I’ll go check. What did you order again? Do you have an allergies? Then after we repeated the gyoza and calamari, she went to the machine and I watched her enter the orders! For sure she forgot! No apologies, explanations whatsoever. 7 mins she brought the gyozas. At 3:50 I asked about the calamari and she said she will check. I told her that this is ridiculous, we’ve been there for almost an hour and I had to go and I can’t wait. Just overall a very bad experience and she said she’s sorry but the machine has been acting up all day which I don’t believe. She didn’t even come check on us for 30 mins and we flagged her down as we watched everyone around us that came after get their food and had drinks and my mother didn’t even get a refill. Her excuse was the coffee was brewing. I just feel every time i come it’s getting worse.
Good Covid safety strategy. Hot potato salad was fabulous.
Even if you reserve a patio table, it’d not guaranteed because they’ll let walk ins stay and don’t have the guts to tell them there’s a time limit on their table. Why even put that as an option if you can’t guarantee it?
Food is decently prepared, nothing spectacular by any means. Typical casual dining chain. Best value and quality are their drinks. Service is passable at best. Servers are unattentive and lack any sense of urgency. We waited almost 15 minutes to receive our check to pay.
It was my anniversary with my husband, the server took a while to take our order and the food wasn't as good as before

It is commendable that Earls Kitchen Station Square follows covid-19 protocols. Their cooks and servers all wear mask and the tables are made available for social distancing.
The food is the usual comfort food quality that you can expect from restaurants like Cactus Club, Browns or Milestone.
Was surprised though that the happy hour was moved earlier to 2-5pm from 3-6pm, so if you get off work (from home) at 5pm, then you won't make it.
This branch has a patio seating area which is great for summer time. Parking is free in the building. This location is very accessible and the restaurant looks very clean.

We were seated at the patio and did not meet our server for at least 15 minutes. The server did not check up on us and had to keep asking other hosts/servers for our server.

Was hoping to be seated on the patio but was seated inside right next to open windows so that was fine. Food was good, I had the tofu bowl which was magnificent! Our server was only ok, abit awkward and rarely checked up on us but not terrible.
The service was great but the kitchen seemed slow. It looked like pickup orders were getting priority.
The steak my wife ordered was very tough. My food was great.
Our server and the manager on duty we’re both very good.
So, while the service and attention were excellent the food was poor enough that we probably wouldn’t come back.

The service was great but I have to admit the COVID-19 protocol was not as stringent as the Earls out at Lougheed. I think they should adopt the Lougheed way where hand sanitizer was everywhere and the first thing the server does is to give a squirt of sanitizer to the patron's hand when they first sit down. Otherwise, my experience was very enjoyable. The burger I had was delicious. Keep up the good work!!

The waitress forgot my second drink and when finally bringing it out 20 mins later, she brought my date a “free beer” because she had ordered the wrong one on his second drink...then she charged us for it on our bill. Also, someone brought us a replacement steak because the first one was not properly done and was fully grizzly all through...and that was on the bill too. Super unimpressed with that—they fixed the steak but honestly by the time it arrived we were ready to leave and charging us for something they said was complementary was annoying too.

Came to celebrate a friends birthday
I had put instructions before booking table regarding a birthday candle.
Asked the server as well. Ordered the cake but they didn’t remember the candle or birthday.

Didn’t order a lot as done items were not available, Buffalo cauliflower was greasy and the batter had no adherence, kept falling off. Sangria was good, too much ice that diluted the drink very quickly. Chocolate toffee pudding was dry and felt like came straight out of the microwave. Went for happy hour so didn’t pay full price for some items, would have been even more disappointed in that case.
