Earls Kitchen + Bar - Test Kitchen - Vancouver
Prawn, mango and avocado, sriracha mayo, black sesame, maple unagi
Hostess just pointed us to the table we were to go to.
It was a great place I would come again for sure. The food was great and excellent service
Such a lovely welcoming venue. Fast and friendly service
Ordered steak. It was very chewy. Not great. Side dishes of potatoes and asparagus were good.
Made a reservation Saturday afternoon was able to secure a time for that evening, server was great, food was great and after our time was up we moved over to the bar.
Food was great but the restaurant was fairly empty due to social distancing rules. The ambience fell a little flat because of this.
Pretty quiet for a friday which was nice. Really fast service and the employees were all very bubbly and kind. Food was amazing as always
Our waitress was so sweet and very attentive/personal when serving our group. It’s nice to be served by someone who you can feel like you can genuinely talk too. She made our experience really lovely. She ended our meal by bringing us a cake to share, which was so nice of her. I forget her name but she’s a perfect example of how you should be waited on!
Great service and safety protocols in place.
Earls did a great job ,the atmosphere was perfect and it was a bonus that wine bottles were 50% off. It was nice to get out again.
I ordered a bacon cheese burger with fries. The burger was a little too salty for my taste. The fries were perfect though.
It was my first time back and it was a nice experience!
The fettuccine alfredo could have had some vegetables in it
So glad to be back for Wings Wednesday at the bar!!!
Amazing experience as usual - great food, ambiance and service!
Changing the CLASSIC Cajun Chicken Cheddar sandwich would, in my opinion, be a mistake. Though the last couple of times I’ve ordered it (from different locations) I’ve noticed a change in your Ciabatta quality. It’s been quite dry and cold. The sandwich used to be much better.
Also, during a very emotionally charged time, with the Black Lives Matter and Indigenous Rights movements, to have the “whitest” and most “redneck” sport I’ve ever seen (chopping and sawing logs, without ONE POC anywhere) on your tv screens was off putting. Perhaps make sure your restaurants are being racially sensitive.
My boyfriend got very sick from the food. We believe it was either the crab sushi or from the tap wine. We sent our first glasses of wine back because there was a lot of sediment, and our next glasses did as well. It makes me wonder if the lines had not been cleaned during COVID and the wine barrels had expired. Thanks
I often dine at Earl's and am always happy with the level of service and food
Excellent service!!! The food was delicious, the place was clean and the music was perfect.
The food was very good, same thing for the drink. The prices were very fair.
This reservation was for the after wedding reception - because of everything that has gone on - with the social distancing. This was the first opportunity to have the people we wanted to join us - Earls did a fantastic job with the current restrictions - the two servers were absolutely great! You made our party that much more enjoyable.
We made a booking and was seated at a table right in front of the take-out door, which was fully open. We were going to ask to change tables, however, after 15 minutes of us sitting there not being able to take our coats off due to the cold wind and no sign of any servers we decided to leave, so I cannot comment on the food etc, only the service. Or should I say complete absence of service.
The menu at the restaurant did not match the menu on here. We went for the Brunch Happy Hour at 11:30am because on here it showed it going until noon, but at the restaurant it actually ended at 11. Some menu items on here were also missing on their menu and they weren't able to make it when we requested them. Good food, service, and atmosphere, but wish they would have honored the pricing (and items if ingredients allowed) that were shown on here.
Really bad meal (we both, my husband and I, ordered the steaks, there where very stiff, to stiff to chew).
Then, After ordering the desserts we were waiting for it about 30 minutes.
And music. May be it’s nice for a pab, but not for the dinner in a restaurant, I had a headache.
Don’t want to come back.
Was looking forward to Leroy ribs... did not know they were not available at this location. Very disappointed
Happy hour menu is the best! Yummy food and drinks with amazing service! Definitely the best earls I’ve been to.
My server wasn’t the most joyous to help us. I work in the service industry and I just felt like I would not allow my staff with help/serve customers like that. She didn’t smile and didn’t look like she wanted to be there which makes me regret eating there. Definitely would not be coming back to that location for a while.
Great spot for casual happy hour. Great hangout spot with friends. Can be a bit rowdy sometimes as they do accept large reservations.
We truly appreciated all the new protocols implemented and had a wonderful dinner out. Staff was enthusiastic and friendly. Thank you.
It was a very pleasant time with nice food. Thanks for reopening right after being allowed.
A friend and I meet here about once a month. the service and food are always great!!
Waitresses were unfriendly. I asked for an apple cider from the first waitress, she looked at me w/disgust and said "we dont sell that here" I was asking for a Lonetree I had bought at this location many times. Another waitress came to serve us, had no idea what happened to the first. The new one looked tired. We couldn't wait to finish our food and leave.
Historically Earls Kitchen had a sweet option for brunch, however they have removed all options and have simplified the menu so much I no longer wish to visit or recommend their brunch. If you and your guests want eggs though, its the place for you.
The food was certainly not original or test kitchen quality worthy.
Good food, speedy service. Quite loud though, it was tough hearing people at the other end of the table.
The server was inattentive - she had to be asked multiple times to take the order, bring water, glasses, etc.
My girlfriend and I were sharing a dish - we had to ask for extra side plates and utensils where Earls has been splitting dishes in the kitchen for years without us having to ask.
Towards the end of the meal, I had given the server the water carafe she never returned or asked if we wanted it refilled.
Had dinner here before Michael Bolton Show. Dinner was better than the show
Best happy hour in town :)! Great menu with lots of fun choices!
