Earls Kitchen + Bar - Test Kitchen - Vancouver
It was great! Food and service was amazing!
Az always everything was awesome.
Loved it
Waitress was super quick and very friendly and my drink was delicious loved coming here and will definitely be back soon to have dinner for sure
The music was a little loud so it was a little harder to converse with someone across the table but I thoroughly enjoyed the Fettucine Alfredo w/ Blackened Chicken, and the garlic bread was amazing!
Our server kept asking us if we would like to order more every 5 minutes and asked if we were ready to pay 3-4 times.
During the 1,5 sit down. She even brought us the cheque that belong to another table. She was fixated.
We had a guest from overseas who came to Canada to meet with her clients and was glad that she tried Earls with us otherwise she would be emberraased if her guest were treated the way she was.
My intention is never to complain about an individual but let you know that our experience was disappointing and we arent motivated to go back to this location.
Thanks
food is pricy for the portion size you receive (steak) and the steak was not that great, chewy.
Great atmosphere, good friendly servers, best value in the city. Very busy which unfortunately lead to long waits between rounds. Had to wait 25-45 minutes between drinks which was a bummer but understandable for how busy it was. Always a go to spot for any occasion.
This is always are go to place for movie night!
Despite being a bit late to the reservation, the hostess sat us immediately, which was very much appreciated. We ordered a garlic bread appetizer which was so-so. We were both given dirty plates by the somewhat apathetic-seeming server. Mine had some flakes of pepper or something on it. My friends had some brown smear on it, so not to annoy the server too much, we only got my friend’s exchanged, but it was still dirty. We didn’t bring up the issue again because the server seemed really annoyed that we even brought up the issue. My friend ordered the clam chowder, which she said was so-so. I ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich. I liked the sandwich, but wish they had toasted the burger bun, as a cold bun made a bit of a negative impact. The fries were so-so. The service was slow, but honestly, I was happy about that as my friend and I were not in any rush and enjoyed our conversation. We’ve been to this Earl’s once before together and also found it so-so then, but that server was very friendly and on-top of it. As it’s a franchise, I don’t have high expectations for it, but it’s not performed well even with lowered expectations.
Overall the food and drinks were great, but the service was extremely slow
We got seated right away. Our server was fantastic and amazing! She was very friendly and delivered exceptional service.
I meet a friend at least once a Month and we always have fantastic service and the food never disappoints.
Had good lunch with friends!
Went there at Happy Hour, dishes were tasty and good service.
Thanks to Earls!
Always have a great service. I was disappointed with the hot wings, the saltiest I ever had in my 20+ years experience. At least I had some as I was in the mood for that.
Good all-around showing. A crowd pleaser with a broad menu of choices.
We enjoyed our time. They were able to add 2 people in our party without any issues. I appreciated that
Overpriced. Waitresses were slow. We had 3 people in our party and they stuck us at a table that was meant for 2
Earls is a great place for a big group gathering and I LOVE their plants based menu! Thanks Earls!
I always go to Earls for drinks and bites before a film! Great way to start an evening!
Waiter forgot about us after a large group came in, we had to flag down a waitress to order another drink.
Food and drinks were good
Great service, quick and efficient.
The beer was flat but quickly replaced. The server was lovely. Attentive enough but not hovering. Well done
service was 5 star. seemed a bit noisy for me, but we enjoyed the food and drinks. 4/5 overall. things are rarely perfect .. but recommend to others .
Great service and food. It was bit expensive. Friendly staff
There was a good selection of food for many tastes and dietary restrictions. The server asked if there were any food allergies to consider. The chocolate pudding cake was delicious!
Had a great time!
This is a restaurant for the young set. It's very loud to the point where you have to shout to hold a conversation, which just keeps adding more to the din. Let's start with the bad...the service, or at least our server. The two of us first ordered drinks and told her that we would order dinner after we finished our drinks. First she came back after a few minutes and asked me again what drink I ordered (maybe I didn't shout loud enough for her to hear me the first time?). Strike one. When the drinks arrived, she asked if we were ready to order, so we reminded her of our desire to finish our drinks before ordering. Strike two. Now we order dinner. We asked for one starter that we were going to share, and then afterward she could bring the two mains that we each ordered. You can probably guess what happened next. All three dishes arrived at the same time. Strike three. We personally will never go back there for all of the above reasons. A pity, too, because the food is outstanding. And we won't hesitate to recommend it to friends, albeit a recommendation with an asterisk.
I love the new Plant Based section! I haven't seen it at any other restaurant and it makes me definitely want to come again. The food was delicious and I really hope they continue to expand and experiment with their plant based options. :D
As a favorite spot for us, I'm always very happy with the service and the food/drink options at very competitive pricing. The only issue I have is the almost overwhelming music being played in the bar area, forcing me to almost yell at the people I'm with. Loud music does not equate to a "happening" place... You already are. And if I wanted to go to a nightclub, I would. But a lounge should not be a nightclub.
I’ve been to Earl’s test Kitchen on Hornby Street a couple of times now. Always great food. Service was efficient. Server Rihanna was outstanding. K owing when to be at our table seemed like second nature to her and I appreciated it as I was the host for four of my colleagues who help me
Out in my work life a lot. Great job.
Food was fantastic
Server was very professional and friendly
Het is even wennen aan de herrie. Ook staan ee natuurlijk weer sportwedstrijden op. Maar de kwaliteit van de biefstuk die we hadden was perfect
Wonderful service, food was amazing and well priced. Highly recommend.
Great restaurant. If there's a game on the bar area can get loud but if you love watching sports on tv this is a great place.
After having a great experience in Earl's Kitchen in Jasper we decided to follow up that same great experience in Vancouver only to be dissapointed. The food was again of a high standard but the music level was so high my wife and I had to really raise our voices to talk to each other and we really couldn't hear the server, we feel there is no need to have the music so loud as this ruined our evening and couldn't wait to leave the restaurant.
Food was, as always, amazing. Service was fantastic - super friendly, all orders correct. Highly recommend!
Good food. Friendly staff. Too many tv screens & noisy
Loud with poor service and mediocre food. Stay away!!
excellent service and great atmosphere! we came during happy hour and it was great value
Delicous food (rack / risotto scallops). Friendly and helpful staff. Fast service. We can recommand this place. Would come again.
The food was fine, the service pretty slow. We were a big party but it still seemed to take awhile for the food to come.
