My husband and I decided to try Earls while visiting Vancouver after many years. We were very pleased with the tortellini and steak. Excellent steak and the truffle sauce was lovely. I started with a Caesar salad and my husband had a mixed green salad. Both nicely done. We just had to try the chocolate sticky toffee pudding and we’re not disappointed. Service was effective and friendly. A bit noisy for us, but survived it. We will try Earls again I am sure.

We met for brunch on Sunday and it was absolutely delicious. The potatoes that accompanied our eggs Benny were to die for. Service was excellent - our server was attentive but left us to chat with minimal disruption. And we loved the new decor.

My friends and I had a great time at Earls; we love going there after watching a movie, and the place never disappoints. Our server, Kierra, was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and just simply amazing. The drinks and food were exactly what we needed, and the ambience and atmosphere were lively, but the noise levels didn't intrude on our conversation. All in all, it was a great night, and we will certainly be back again.

Since the Earl's test kitchen has been renovated, it has become a more modern and comfortable destination spot. Unfortunately they have slowly been raising their prices since covid. Making it very difficult to swallow, even with happy hour pricing. As this still remains a chain restaurant, I would actually expect their price point to be somewhat more affordable. Overall, the staff do still remain very friendly and engaging, and with the new menu, the variety of choices has definitely increased.

Very extensive menu, from sushi to pizza. Many vegetarian choices and some vegan and gluten free options. Service was friendly and efficient. Runners brought food from the kitchen promptly. Portions are ample. I had the tortellini with truffle and asparagus. The pasta was commercial with very thick wrappers. Flavours were good. Two at my table had steaks, one blackened with potatoes. Another guest had a light dish of very fresh yuzu sashimi and was very satisfied with that, and the yuzu lemonade. It’s loud, but spaced enough to have a business chat. Overall, it’s the price/value that reduced the rating by one star.

Excellent service although found the menu limiting and some items expensive. They could not offer the glass of wine ordered and then had to choose a more expensive glass (they did not offer to cover the difference). Good location as we were going to the Orpheum to see a show.

It was an awful experience. Seemed like our waiter was very new to the job and didn’t have proper training. Worst waiter i’ve had in recent memory. When ID checkin she didn’t even look at them because “anyone who isn’t 19 wouldn’t pull their Id out”. From there it only went downhill and we spent an hour and a half waiting for the manager she said she called, whom didn’t end up coming. If it was busy that’s one thing but it seemed like the staff just really didn’t want to be there.

We like the new decor, although we miss the small booths, which have been replaced by tables. We sat there, and the only negative remark is the plants which are very attractive were invading our table. Also, it seems like the handicap washroom on the main floor is permanently closed. My husband has very bad knees and going downstairs after having been to the washroom. Upstairs is really really hard. Please rethink this decision.

Service was really good! The servers were really attentive to our needs and friendly. We were celebrating our anniversary, birthdays, and valentine's and we got a very generous freebies which were all much appreciated. We tried a couple of food from their test menu and enjoyed them a lot. I think the only down side was our table base was a little loose that it made a metal rattling noise when we accidentally stepped on them. Other than that, our experience was amazing. Kudos to everyone!
