Earls Kitchen + Bar - Whitehorse
It is very nice to be able to go to this restaurant because it serves good vegetarian dishes.
It was extremely pricey for what we got. My steak was so tough i couldnt poke it with my fork & had lots ofvwhat i call sineu in it. The stramed carrots were under cooked had to cut with knife. Potatoes ,& beets were great
Great food and service. Questionable booking through Open Table...ended up with a poor table and had to ask to move. Not what we had requested.
It was an awesome dinner and an amazing way to spend Valentine’s Day
It was Valentines and they were overwhelmed with the number of orders. It took about 50-60 minutes to get our food and with two young kids this wasn’t acceptable. We almost got up and left but the food came just in time. Wait Staff were friendly and helpful but they couldn’t fix this. We got our desserts to go and left before they arrived as it took too long.
The website didn't permit me to choose the bar side versus the dining room side for my reservation. I added this information to a subsequent note asking to reserve that specific table. When I arrived at the restaurant I was seated at this table (corner booth by the fireplace) when another individual approached the table with the server and said she reserved that table. Since I was there first the staff found another section for this individual.
You need to consider how to revise the online booking system so this doesn't happen other than that the service, food, and atmosphere was exceptional.
Great food, great service! Dietary needs were well accommodated.
Reservation for 14 and 2 extra people showed up - NYE, so place was booked. Manager graciously found another 2 seats. Server was amazing. Young girl and she managed our large table and other tables as well. All staff worked together to make sure all guests in the restaurant were looked after.
Food was good and only one small error that was immediately fixed.
The service was terrible, slow and multiple errors. The server should find a different line of work. Not pleasant, not fast, not accurate.
I booked through the open table & when we went to the restaurant they did not have our reservation. They were very accommodating but it was a bit frustrating that they didn't know we were coming especially with a party of 9. The table was crowded as they had several other large groups at the same time. I liked the restaurant but was not happy with booking the reservation online.
I thought the waitress was very nice and accommodating but we waited for over 50 minutes before our order was taken. I thought this was way too long. However, once the food was ordered, we got our food within 15 minutes which I thought was very fast considering we had a large group.
Fully enjoy the occasion due to excellent service and quality of food
Farewell lunch with colleagues. Perfect location, great food!
I enjoyed my dinner (fish & chips) but my husbands (blackened cajun steak) was not great. I ordered a signature drink (rhubarb strawberry) and it was terrible. Meal with drinks was very expensive and we will no go back to Earls Whitehorse, will recommend people not go to Earls Whitehorse.
Whitehorse Earls has gone way down hill. It took 20 minutes to be served. We had no cutlery, had to get it ourselves. When we used to go to Whitehorse Earls it felt like we were in the big city. It just now feels like another restaurant in Whitehorse. Duck tape on the booths. Bathrooms extremely dirty. Very disappointed.
This was the first time I had a steak from Earl's. It was not very good. Especially for the price I paid. The steak was tough and bland and the asparagus (which is my favourite veggie) was over cooked with half of the stalk being too tough to eat. I don't think the ends were trimmed off properly. I likely won't order a steak dinner from Earl's again.
The service was excellent, as usual and for that reason I will definitely return!
The menu has something for every taste and dietary needs.
I like Earls and you have good vegetarian options too.
The service was outstanding, the food was really good quality. guaranteed some of the reservees didn't show up right away. other than slightly quicker service. everything was outstanding.
Restaurant a little worn. Not quite the normal earls experience.
Food and cleanliness of the restaurant were average compared to Earl's locations that I have visited in other cities in Western Canada. The ambiance is looking a little tired, might be time for a major refresh! The service itself was efficient and the server did a great job taking care of our group of 7 people.
Didn’t have advertised beer on tap. In process of changing menu so they didn’t have the beef dip that my husband wanted. It’s still on the current menu though.
Tasty food; staff readily and happily replaced an admittedly overcooked steak for our guest - 2nd steak was cooked to perfection & much enjoyed. Thank you for the great service!
This was an evening when there was a jazz trio playing which added to the excellent food and service.
Out of coconut syrup so no pina colada.
$45 bottle of chardonnay was not worthy.
Restaurant is generally better.
Music is too loud for easy conversation especially for lunch meeting.
Our group had salmon, ribs, and Cajun chicken. All were delicious. The sticky toffee pudding was to die for. It’s big. Must be shared. The staff was also very helpful with activities going on in Whitehorse.
Not worth what you pay. Priced for excellent food but nothing special. Service was rushed, it felt like they wanted to cycle us through as fast as possible.
Earls has consistently been a restaurant we enjoy in most cities where they are located. Too bad not the case in Whitehorse! Ordered steak & lobster which were badly cooked and returned to redo. Still done incorrrctly. Lobster stuck in the shell not cracked open. Gristle thru steak made it tough & unappetizing. Vegetables drowned in butter and oil! All in all not worth the money and almost inedible!
We had a great event overall.
The only challenge was customer service was somewhat lacking when our organizer went in a few hours ahead of the reservation to leave some table props. The staff seemed unaware that there was a reservation and weren’t terribly helpful. When people arrived for the event a few hrs after our table wasn’t set up as expected and ready to go. Our Table props had to be brought over and set up ourselves when we got there, which wasn’t ideal. I think going the extra mile for customers and being friendly helpful and knowing how to help make an occasion special will get you more reservations and better word of mouth.
The staff were very accommodating of my large group consisting of several people in wheelchairs. We had plenty of space saved for us and our server was patient, kind and extremely capable. They placed us in the bar though which was very loud for some of the older folks in our group to hear. Overall a great experience though and we would come back.
