If the music wasn’t blaring t a level where conversation was difficult without yelling, this would be considered very good. The prices are not cheap, but not expensive either given the quality of the food. The service was very good. The only problem was that it was hard having a conversation, but maybe that was the point. It makes you want to eat, get up and go! I understand that this is the vibe that younger people seek, but maybe they could ramp up the music after 7pm. It would be nice concession to customers would want to sip a cocktail and catchup with friends.

The volume of the background music is too high to have a conversation. Staff said they've had numerous complaints about it but noting is done

Server very professional and attentive to the right degree. Noise level not conducive to conversation but we were seated in a 'quieter' are on request so thanks for that. Cajun chicken meal: chicken was very good and a generous portion. However, the slaw and the potato salad were different than I'd had previously and were way, way too 'gloopy' with dressing. You should cut that back. My guest had the truffled tortellini with shrimp - nice flavour and the shrimp were not overcooked as they often are in restaurants.

Came for happy hour. Turns out half a dozen oysters, two lettuce wraps and a steak frites took over 45mins to make. The oyster is raw and the lettuce wrap is lettuce carrots and pieces of fried chicken. This shouldn't even take 5 mins. The steak came out cold. Medium rare 3 minutes each side take temperature adjust cook time if needed. I've worked at similar restaurants as earl. This wouldn't fly any day. Sent steak back and took another 20 mins to come out. Was about to cancel it and leave. Ended up paying for full. 10% tip cause waiter who took the steak back was nice. Severs are super friendly and nice. However we were hardly taken care of.

This was a "high energy" restaurant the Friday we were there. Friendly fast service from a mostly young group of servers; the diners however were a mixed group. The menu is mixed with enough choice to suit everyone in our party.

The staff at Earl's are very attentive. They check with each diner to make sure there are no food allergies. While I do not have any (nor did my dining companion) I thought this level of detail and customer care was representative of the level of service. I had clam chowder. It was hot and had lots of seafood as well as a tasty broth. I am glad that I ordered this appetiser. My main course was a cheese and bacon burger with "frites". They were both very tasty. I had gravy with the frites which was a great add on. I would get that again. We were not rushed and the main course was only ordered when we were finishing up our appetisers. (They could have been ordered at the start, but we were in no rush.). There are vegetarian options which appealed to my vegetarian friend.
