   I will not be able to return to the restaurant. The noise level is completely and unnecessarily intolerable. It’s not the customers, it’s the sound system.

   Been here 5 or 6 times, usually for happy hours, sometimes in the evening. Food never disappointed until my last visit. I had a pizza (arugula and prosciutto), and while the ingredients were good and tasty, the bread in the middle was surprisingly chewy (not the outside crust), don't know if it was something like a case of undercooking. Love the sushi tacos. Tried their cheesecake this time, and it was excellent. The cappuccino, though, was quite inferior to those I have had at Eataly. Service always excellent. I will surely be back, not sure about gambling on pizza again. On another visit, I had the blackened chicken and ribs combo, and it was terrific. Well, 1 time out of 6, perfection was not achieved, which ain't bad!

   Terrific service - almost an embarrassment of it, as multiple staff in addition to our server come by throughout our dinner - eg. we were waffling on the wine, and our server made very helpful suggestions. The ambience in the Manulife location is relaxing and elegant. My main complaint is the noise level: i am a young senior (old middle-aged?) with normal hearing, but find it difficult to hear fellow diners who have softer voices. We like the menu, both food and drinks. Will visit again, but always on the search for that corner where we can converse easily.

    I recently visited Earls for a special occasion. When I arrived, there were several servers at the counter, but none greeted me right away. I had to initiate the conversation by asking about my reservation. One server completely ignored me, and I had to repeat my question twice before being acknowledged. When they finally responded, I overheard them making sarcastic remarks about my request for a table, mocking how I didn't say "please" in my reservation note. In my reservation note, I had requested "Could I possibly reserve a table in the solarium? Thank you." While I understand that I could have been more polite in my wording, I was deeply uncomfortable to hear the staff talking about me in such a disrespectful way, especially within earshot. This was a special occasion, and it was disheartening to experience such unprofessional behavior before I even sat at my table. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously, as the lack of respect and courtesy from the staff really impacted my experience. For a place that prides itself on service, this kind of treatment should not be part of the customer experience.
