The whole meal felt rushed . The salad was pre prepared as the plate was very cold and the salad was sought. Before I could finish salad my meal showed up and the scallops were way over cooked and chewy.

Service was the worst we've ever experienced at ESM. It was my daughter's birthday and it was identified on the reservation and we saw our server to take our order only and she never returned. We were never visited to check on how the food was, we were never visited to ask if we needed more bread/soup/salad despite the entire table ordering meals with all-you-can-eat. When the food came, the dishes already on the table were never cleared and we had to put them on the floor as there was no space for our meals. We waited 20 minutes after eating and the server never returned and I had to find another server to get our bill. My daughter's birthday was never addressed. We used to eat at this restaurant all of the time but to ruin a child's birthday like that is terrible and it wasn't busy so there is just no excuse. The server never apologized or acknowledged any wrong doing.

She never mentioned to us its an extra 2-3$ for adding cheese, I wouldn’t have spent 12$ on cheese.

Food was ok, but the service was very poor, unreasonable long waiting time, many mistakes made by personal ( like wrong orders was brought ( for 2 people out of 4!!), errors in a bill, not followed a guide request ( we just asked a bigger table , as we were 4 people and booked it online ahead of time, we were also willing to wait, but they gave us a small table for 2 and said, something like “sorry, it’s busy now, that’s what we have right now available - but it’s not fair as we had a special occasion and that’s why we asked ahead to make sure we will enjoy our time, but I guess, with this place it’s not working and you’re never know how frustrating your experience could be. ) The officiant said “sorry” many times, but she wasn’t really showing her aspirations to improve our experience by at least showing us that she’s doing her best. Her attitude was like, yeah, it’s what it is, sorry about that but what else we can do if you guys came when we are so busy… ( she wasn’t said that, but that’s what we felt…) That is was very bad experience, I don’t think we will be back to this place again.

It’s a family restaurant so I knew it would be busy, but it was very loud and noisy. We found the restaurant to be poorly lit in some areas.

We had made reservations and checked in a bit early to see if we could get in. Luckily we could be accommodated the greeter was very friendly, our server Cortney was exceptional and the service and food was excellent.

Quality and quantity of food was excellent. I hadn’t eaten at an ESM in years and it’s leagues better than I remember. Every stage of food was very good indeed (and I am a foodie). The bread was delicious as was the Italian Wedding Soup. My main course was Fettuccine in a Rosé sauce with sausage and grilled chicken

Had the chicken parm and the sauce tasted like canned tomatoes, the chicken was burnt. The server ignored our table until we asked for the bill. Worse experience ever had at an east side Mario’s

First time we have gone to Mario's in Moncton. Would have liked to book later, say 4:45 to 5:30, but reservation app only gave us to 3:45 , and then nothing to 6:45. In spite of that, when we left at 4:15, the occupancy was sparse (we took 3:45... too early.) Our hostess was a bit less than cheery, and took us at a rapid pace to our table. In spite of most of the tables being empty, there was no question of where we might Like to sit. Our waitress was initially also not abounding in friendliness, though she improved. Staffing might have been less than full and people busy. The food value was good... my wife's Caesar was very large and good. Our total cost for a shared pizza and salad came in lower than I anticipated, and drinks were at the low end of typical pricing. The food was good, though I would have preferred our pizza (Canadian) to be cooked slightly longer-- personal preference. We would, and will go back again, probably with friends, which is the bottom line.

The waitress was very prompt and helpful. The food came extremely fast as I expected a wait due to it being Mother’s Day, but there was no wait at all. It was all delicious and perfect portions.

My boyfriend and I come here often. Were always satisfied with everything. This time was different. I had reserved a table for my boyfriends bday. I made sure to mention in the notes that it was his bday. Nobody seen that Im guessing because they didn’t acknowledge it. Our waitress took 20 minutes just to come to take our drink order. She wasnt very friendly at all and made us feel like we were a nuisance. Our drinks were never refilled and we both ordered the chicken parm.. usually our favorite! But the sauce was really bland and was sooo runny!! We love coming here but this visit was a complete miss :(

We were seated at 5:10pm and by 6:05pm we walked out as we hadn’t even received our appetizer (mozzarella sticks) yet. I understand, places get busy, however, the table that was seated 25 minutes after us, received their mozzarella sticks within 10 minutes of ordering…we had 2 children who were hungry and it was now 6:05pm, so we had to leave.

It was certainly a little of a rough visit. The service wasn’t up to standards and things should have been smoother. I have already spoken to the management and everything was shared with the team or will be. Overall, the food continues to be very tasty and we’ll certainly be back!

We had visited this location a month prior and had an amazing time ! With amazing service. We decided to go back again, this time , it was less busy but our service was so poor, our main course came to the table before our appetizers were delivered, we were left eating Caesar salad while our main course got cold. No one came to offer more drinks, the all you can eat “bread and salad” was a joke as we had 1 loaf of bread and no other loaf was brought to the table and no time to eat the salad. The woman waiting on us was very pregnant and looked so uncomfortable, she wasn’t friendly, no smiles, and just looked like she didn’t want to be there, it made us feel guilty for asking for anything. I gave her my CAA number for the bill, and she left with it and took her another 10 minutes to come back with our bill, as we watched her serving other people before returning to us with the bill. She seemed lost and confused. Perhaps too pregnant to be working in a busy restaurant. Our appetizer plates were brought to our table wet, they hadn’t even been dried properly before being set on our table. We were sat in a cold corner with a drafty window. There was nothing comfortable about this. A $64 lunch meal , we expected much more. Very disappointed. We are from out of province and we do not have a location where we live, so it’s usually a treat to enjoy your locations. Needless to say we will not be returning to the Moncton location anytime soon !

Another great visit at ESM! We love going in on Friday afternoons and enjoy the lunch - All You Can Eat Soup & Salad and today was the same! Great service and great experience!

Even though I enjoyed my meal, my husband ordered a calzone and there was barely any meat but mostly dough. My son ordered a pizza and the pepperoni tasted rubbery.
