You do not need a reservation to enjoy Easy Tiger, but you are welcome to make one if you wish. Located in Austin, Texas, Easy Tiger Bake Shop & Beer Garden was founded by James Beard nominee, David Norman. We bake pastries and artisan bread daily. Our beer gardens have over 12 beers on tap, we source our coffee locally (Little City Coffee) and all of our meats are cured locally. We are known for our giant pretzels, we make them by hand every few hours and they sell out almost immediately. Our East location is 7 blocks from downtown and in the lively Eastside of town. We have a 1 acre, dog-friendly park with 100 beer garden tables, a container bar, ping pong, corn hole & more. The interior has a warehouse feel with a long bar, leather sofas, a giant screen, and arcade games. We are on the main route to/from downtown to the airport and have long been a bachelorette party gathering spot, typically before hotel check-in (suitcases welcome).

This would’ve been a pretty good experience if the half of the restaurant we were seated at wasn’t boiling hot. I don’t know if that’s where the sun hits the building or if the A/C was out, but I won’t repeat a visit during the summer months. I was just burning up the entire meal. The other side of the restaurant was significantly cooler when we got up to use restroom. I’ll keep this on a list of fall to winter only visits

Unfortunately, we were seated next to a 25 person Birthday table. The noise was ridiculous. We asked to be moved but that meant outside when it was over 100 degrees. Service was great and she did her best to accommodate us. Just an unpredictable situation with that large group.

We got there around 9pm, it was completely dead inside. Service was particularly slow, drinks came in plastic cups, and the remaining staff was super loud and hitting on customers. We waited for 15+ minutes for our check and ended up going to the counter to figure out how to pay. Had heard great things, so disappointing to say the least. Maybe this is more of an early evening spot than a late night drink and snacks spot….

Easy tiger was not prepared for our reservation and staff gave us pushback for having it. Made comments like “you’re lucky it’s not busy and we have room for a group this size” even though we made a reservation and had called multiple times weeks in advance and week of to discuss details. Did not feel welcomed at all.

Being a former ATXer I was really looking forward to having a taste of home via Easy Tiger, unfortunately I was very disappointed in the food overall. The making of my sandwich was sloppy, the meat quality was bad, they served me and charged me full price when they were out of key ingredients and didn’t prep the sandwich as it should’ve have been. Go for a drink and to hang but avoid the food and be ready for OK service.

Unfortunately our Open Table reservation was not able to be honored. I had made a reservation for 12 at 8:15 on Sunday evening; the restaurant closed at 8pm. This was frustrating to say the least. It was a party for my son's graduation. I don't know where the misconnect is for hours -- either the restaurant has not updated Open Table or OT has not done as the restaurant asked. It's not fair of me to say YES to recommend below because of our experience. That's why I said NO

There was live music and it was ridiculously loud for a restaurant. It was impossible to have a conversation. The food was good and the staff and service were excellent

This location really needs to get their service together. Made a reservation. Waited at the host stand. Another server tells us to sit at any open table but 10 minutes later the host comes up and tells us that they are actually on a one hour wait (despite about half of all the tables being open) and that we needed to get up. Explained that we had a reservation but were told to just sit which led to questioning about who told us that. Turns out the table next to us had the exact same issue. Over the next hour we watched about 6 groups just come in and sit, some were told to move, others weren’t. All of the staff seemed really confused about everything from what table got what food to how we would get our drinks (some people had to go to the bar and others has servers bring them). Just a mess all around

Large patio with lots of seating and some outdoor game areas. Plenty of drinks and food options. Inside there is a huge projector screen which usually shows games and has comfy lounge seating options too.

I helped organize a HH for an organization with a lot of people visiting Austin for SXSW. Easy Tiger - East proved to be a great spot. Plenty of space, great atmosphere, and great drink/food selection!

The food was pretty decent. We ordered the Sausage Board and Loaded Waffle Fries. Fries were great, sausage board was good but felt a little bit expensive for what it actually was. The ambiance was as expected, with lots of conversations but not overly loud or disruptive. You can choose your own seating outside which was fine but also I don't understand the purpose of having a reservation. No one was there to check us in, there was just a sign to seat yourself and order online.

We took a team of teenage boy volleyball players there after a tournament. They loved the outdoor patio, had a ping pong tournament, played pool, and parents watched the NFL playoff games. Space was large, food was great.

Food is great and as much as I love this place, they are over staffed and overwhelmed. It took over an hour for our food to come out, we had to get drinks, napkins, water, silverware etc ourselves because our poor waitress was overwhelmed and needed more help and was never around. Sadly, it made for a terrible experience overall. If they don’t have the staff, they shouldn’t allow as many open reservations.
