Hawaii inspired: The Eating House pays homage to Hawaii’s vibrant culinary heritage, a nod to restaurateurs like Peter Fernandez who, the story goes, opened one of the first restaurants in Hawaii, called the Eating House, back in the mid-1800s, using what was available from local farmers, ranchers, foragers and fishermen. It’s there that award-winning Chef Roy Yamaguchi blends these two worlds: the easy ambiance and simple flavors of a plantation town with the dynamic modernity of haute cuisine.

This was a fantastic find on 7 mile beach! Romantic setting, reasonable prices and healthy portions. Island cuisine at its best. Our waiter, Abdul was fabulous. A must do when you’re in Grand Cayman.

We were extremely impressed with the food. The sushi was very fresh, the entrees were excellent. The fish we had was excellent and the short rib was perfect. They should change the name, I think it can scare people away. This place located in Margaritaville was a diamond in the rough!

Based on eating at other Roy's restaurants I was expecting a lot more from this establishment
The front desk seems in disarray when we got there.
Once seated asked again if we had reservation even if the restaurant was half empty.
The apps were brought out and no side plates offered to share.
Water was never refilled.
The lamb which I had, had very little flavour.
Overall very disappointing having been vote top 50 restaurant in the Carribean

When we booked, we were told it would be either New Years Menu OR normal a la carte. Showing up at the restaurant we were told only the special menu was served. However, when we are served the first course we see other tables getting the normal a la carte, not professional. When we talked to the manager we got some lame excuse - terrible. Also did not get the wine that was listed....... not a great experience, poorly handled and not expected at a "nice" restaurant.

I don't dole out five stars often, but Eating House 1503 is well deserving. The food is outstanding--don't miss the spare rib, salmon or scallops. The conch fritters are a fusion masterpiece stuffed with sausage. The staff has grown with the restaurant--the on duty managers quickly responded to my concern that our server, who was serving a 10-topper as well as our table and another 4-topper, was overloaded and the service was superb. The wine list is reasonably priced (for Cayman!) and definitely make your order right after you receive your mains for the chocolate souffle. Definitely a high recommendation!

It was our first visit to this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised.We thought the food was excellent. Compared to some of the more highly rated restaurants on the island, the food was just as good or better. We will certainly return here the next time we visit Grand Cayman.

Arrived early and wife walked to bar and she was told she couldn't sit there until she checked in. I was waiting to check n. After that fiasco service and food were excellent. Wine selection light but good value for wines enlist. Halibut and short rib were delicious. Dumpling and fritter apps were spot on

Awesome dinner. Had glass noodle salad. So delicious with nice textures and flavours. Halibut fabulous, flaky. Shared that and perfect portion. The rice it was served with was so good, a little crunch soft chew but again flavours! Then desserts oh yes no splitting that. Had the creme brûlée matcha and coconut pana cotta!! Ohhh must go back. Ask if halibut is in da house as they keep it fresh and only so many from what I understood. Rejoice! Paul makes fabulous cocktails and greeting girl were awesome. We sat at the bar.

The food was excellent, my halibut was perfectly cooked, the fried cauliflower-sprout dish was flavourful too. The service was disorganized at the beginning, however as tables left and servers had more capacity to look after tables, it was getting better. Thank you for the experience, all in all, we had a lovely night.

The food was good, we were a bit disappointed by the sushi. However we come from a place that has exceptional sushi so we are hard to please on that front! The oysters were really good, the Brussel sprouts and cauliflower dish was tasty and the drinks were stellar! We would definitely go back again!

This was my third time at Eating House to celebrate Mother's Day. Food was delicious as my previous times and the reason why I wanted to go back. However, the service was "unattentive". We had to flag down our server several times when we needed something. Our server also offered us the dessert menu at the end of the meal from which we ordered 3 desserts. After ordering the desserts, our server brings us a complimentary dessert platter with several desserts on it along with the desserts we ordered. He should have told us that the complimentary platter was being offered as we wouldn't have ordered all the other desserts. There was so much desserts we didn't even finish them all. I thought it was rather cheeky to upsell us on desserts when there was going to be a complimentary platter.

We have been coming to Cayman for 15 years and have tried many of the amazing restaurants on the island. We went with friends and shared a bunch of appetizers - did our own tapas style. The presentation, portion and quality were outstanding. The poke melted in your mouth. The sashimi was amazing. The 20 min wait for the chocolate torte that 4 of us shared is worth the wait! It is a keeper and we will be back!

We were 4 professional women on an annual trip and it was our last night on Grand Cayman. We are foodies and definitely saved the best for last! All of our dinners were fantastic and the lobster fried rice was the best we have had anywhere in the world. Scallops, snapper and mahi were each cooked and seasoned perfectly and the desserts were divine. Our favorites were the coconut panna cotta and macha creme brulee, but the pineapple upside down cake and chocolate soufflé were delicious too.
We visited on a Sunday night, so it was not busy and the service was good, but I think we might have confused our waiter with the amount of food courses we ordered. lol Highly recommend!!

Our group all choose the Seafood section of the menu starting with Cocktails, Nigiri (sushi) and a roll... Outstanding. Our entrees were the MahiMahi, Snapper, Halibut and Scampi....All outstanding. A nice reasonably priced bottle of wine rounded out a great Dinner. Top 5 ever according to your youngest adult child.

We made a lunch time booking on open table for 12pm. However, when we arrived, we were told that the restaurant is only open for breakfast and dinner. If this was the case, we should not have been able to make the booking.

Good food, but the worst service. For every 15 tables they had 1 waitress. She visited the table maybe every 30-45 minutes. It took forever to get food. When we received my daughter's pasta she wanted cheese on it. It took another 30 minutes for the server to come back with the cheese so my daughters food was cold by that time. We had a bottle of champagne in a bucket that we had to poor ourselves and on top of that they put 2 bottles from the table next to us on top of our bottle in our bucket.

We took my husband for his birthday and the five of us chose different dishes to share. We were not disappointed, the food was fabulous and the recommendations by our server were delicious exactly as he said they would be. As foodies with a following, we’ll certainly recommend to our friends and will definitely return to try other dishes until we’ve tried them all!

Outstanding! Best addition to the Cayman restaurant scene. Food was excellent, fantastic menu - great variety. Will be coming back very regularly which says a lot as the standard of restaurants in Cayman is high.
