    A midtown favorite for good reason, the apps are excellent and can make a meal easily. Wine list is extensive. Service very professional. It gets loud on weekends.

    Food was very good. The Red fish was very tasty and the appetizers were first rate. The restaurant was very busy and the service was a tad slow, however the wait staff were very friendly and the management made up the slow service with some complementary food.

    The food was so bad that it’s difficult to describe. Oversalted, undercooked, no flavor, no taste. Presentation was at the lowest level. And, for that reason, is definitely massively overpriced. I felt bad for the waiters, serving that kind of food, you must be very brave. Our waiter, Brian, was amazing, I rarely write negative reviews, but in this case people have to be aware, because it could destroy your planned event.

    What a disappointment! We had a 1:45 reservation and were seated promptly and then given water. Around 2:10 the waiter came to take a drink order and wanted to do food order simultaneously. We’d thought get a drink, peruse the menu and then order. OK fine. We order. It’s a prix fixe menu with a pastry basket to start. His salad (really good and super dressing arrive) my deux quiche (bland and reheated and tough) arrive. No drinks and no pastry basket. We ask the server for both. Nothing happens. We finish the appetizers and ask the server while she was at the adjacent table for pastry and drinks. A new person arrives and ask what we need. Sigh!!!! She then brings us both. It’s now I think 40 minutes after placing the order???? Moving on : I had the duck Benedict. One poached egg was perfect, the other did not have the white cooked. It was OK but no pizazz or oomph in taste.He had what he thought was to be ribeye but in the rush to order did not realize it was ground into patties. We waved for a waiter and the host came over and I asked for a refill of wine. 20 minutes later we catch his eye and he asks what we need. I repeat the glass of wine… it then arrives promptly but we are SO ready to have this disappointing Mother’s Day meal over. Many of our family are in the restaurant business. We NEVER tip at less than 20% Today was 10%

    It was our first time at Ecco, we just moved to Midtown, and we will certainly be back! We went with our baby for the Mother’s Day brunch and it was so good! The papardelle is amazing. Also loved the meat and cheese board and fried goat cheese. My husband ordered a “Long Live the Queen” cocktail (bombay sapphire gin, elderflower, lemon, mint, peach bitters) and me, a person who neverrrrrr orders gin LOVED it and had to order one for herself!

    The appetizer portions were very small but they were individual so perhaps that's normal. Several of us ordered the ribeye steak because it's advertised as the Delmonico cut. The steaks all came out less than warm. We had them rare medium rare and medium, but the temperature the physical temperature of the steak was not warm but more like room temperature. They did not have brood iced tea. And the Arnold Palmer drink was unexceptional to say the least. Finally, it was Mother's Day and we had two children with us but we did not realize until after we had left that we were charged adult rate for the two children also. That was about an extra 50 bucks we paid there. We didn't want to complain because we didn't want to bring the three moms now. So everybody sat there and smile also, Mother's Day but had no dessert available. At least no dessert that was offered to us. The bread plates that came out were very small and it was less than one piece per person, there were 10 of us. The bread plate was advertised as one of the courses. On the good side, the charcuterie boards had a very nice goat cheese ricotta whip. The pride goat cheese was very good. And the eggs baked in the small dishes Sunny side up we're good. The rest of the meal was less than average people

    Amazing food. Chef Alan rocks every dish. Wood fired asparagus was insanely good. The gnocchi was the best I’ve had after a lifetime of good gnocchi.

    Great place to go for a nice dinner or celebration. My mom had a great 80th birthday dinner. Terrell, I can't thank you enough for how you took care of us and especially my mother. The staff was great, shout out to John. The food was amazing! This will be one of my go to places from now on.

    The food never disappoints. I always get the Fried goat cheese and the Pappardelle with Pork Ragu. My friend also got the Duck Confit pasta. I love that they offer blue cheese olives for martinis. The wine is good, but expensive. $19 for a glass and it's a bit of a short pour. I'd rather pay $20 and get a lil more. The service was friendly and the server was knowledgeable. It was a little slow, but we were having a leisurely dinner, so we didn't mind.

    We had a wonderful dinner with Harold as our server. Everything was great - per usual. There was a bit not noise than normal because of people celebrating graduations which was so much fun to see. Congrats to the grads!

    Food was ok. Olive oil with the bread was bad. Both plates were pasta with the pasta stuck together. It was almost too dark to read menus with multiple tables having to use their phone flashlights. You couldn’t hear/communicate with the person across the table without using a very loud voice. Dessert, lemon tart, was not very good. The middle of the tart was either undercooked or turned…left a very bad taste in the mouth. Our waiter was below par, especially after hearing the waiter for the table next to us. Would not go again.

    The service was top notch. We were seated immediately, our server Kumlau (sp?) was very knowledgeable and attentive, the food came out in a timely manner, drinks were excellent and the price was affordable. Considering it was fine dining of course. We had the fried goat cheese, grilled octopus, squid ink corzetti and swordfish - all very good. You have to try the fried goat cheese.

    A wonderful server described the menu and gave us suggestions for ordering. The food and drinks were delicious. Lots of options. I had a flatbread with 5 kinds of mushrooms. Heaven!

    We always have a great time at Ecco midtown. Our server Caroline is the reason we go as well as Brandon the bartender! We had one bad experience several months ago and Caroline renewed our faith and now we go just to see her.
