   Went there for my husband’s birthday and it was fantastic in every way. The waiter, Tony, was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to our needs. My husband got the ribeye with lobster tail and I got the Wagyu filet. Ahh-mazing on both. So worth the cost. For dessert we had the crème brûlée and carrot cake. The carrot cake was the BIGGEST slice I’ve ever seen and it was delicious. Thank you to Tony for making our evening extra special and for being so hospitable! We will return for sure.

   This is the second year in a row we’ve dined at Eddie Merlot’s before the Run to Remember. We have hundreds of choices in Boston, but it’s so delicious and perfect every time that it’s an easy choice to come back.

   The rib eye steak was delicious. We started with oysters Rockefeller and the grilled romaine salad with Gorgonzola. Both were very good. I highly recommend the carrot cake for dessert. The serving was huge. The single serving could easily satisfy four people. The dining room was relaxed, quiet and elegant. Service was outstanding.

   Our server was very unpleasant and the service overall is very slow (drinks and food). While the prices are moderate for a steakhouse, I’d rather spend the extra few dollars for the quality of food and experience you get elsewhere. I personally would not recommend the restaurant to anyone, but it’s also not the worst place I’ve ever been to.

   The quality of the ribeye was outstanding. The cooks prepared all meats according to the service requests. However, service was below average. The hostess left us waiting to get seated for more than 15 min with an empty restaurant, even though we had a reservation. She told us it was because they were cleaning up from the brunch service (2 Horus prior to our arrival). Then, she proceeded to get us a table that was still not clean. The waiter was cordial at first but then disappeared for a long time, claiming he was called into the manager’s office. He had an attitude the entire time. The lady who served us food also complained about him because he wouldn’t own up to his mistakes when taking orders. The waiter was argumentative and confrontational about every little thing. It’s disappointing that service was poor because the food was good, but we don’t plan on returning.

   Went in for Mother’s Day. Overpriced buffet with just about average food. You could’ve been sitting at a Holiday Inn eating the free breakfast. Everything about the experience was just average - including the service.

    Was seated at a table that had a used dirty fork laying on the tablecloth in addition to the place settings. Scrambled eggs overcooked so asked server for scrambled eggs from the omelette station and never received the eggs. Server was inattentive as we waited over 15 min after brunch to receive our bill. Overall the service was slow at best, brunch items were ok aside from the eggs. The tenderloin was fantastic, pork loin dry and overcooked. Dessert station was very good.     The waiter was not very professional. He was a little bit pushy to ask us to order. First, I asked him whether they had Dom Perignon and he told me “Nobody” like dom perignon anymore…Then, I started to ask for recommendations for the wine, then he recommended one wine to me and claimed this would be the best wine that I have ever drank in my life, which is $165….lmao…I told him okay, I would like to this wine. Guess what, he said I had to buy it… it’s just so hilarious when he said it. At the end of the day, it’s like 8pm, he wished us have a good “day”.. The food was good but the service…

    The experience here was pleasant. The king crab and corn soup was extremely tasty— absolutely my favorite of all that I ordered. It had nice bits of corn and crab throughout. However there was no king crab garnish as described on the menu, making it my only negative review of this dish. Following that, I ordered the filet mignon potstickers. They were very filling, and gave exactly what you might expect. The Asian flavors, found in the drizzled sauce, really makes this dish what it is. But I probably wouldn’t order again, as I didn’t see anything overly special about the potstickers. And finally, the sea bass. It was good. Very flaky and buttery to the taste. I opted to pair mine with the garlic mashed potatoes, which I think turned out well. All in all, this place is good. The ambiance was a tad boring. Not much too busy, but it could have been due to the time I chose to visit, which was a Wednesday night.

    We had a very exquisite dinner on a Friday night. We had oysters on the half shell, split a trio of medallions, a side of mashed potatoes which BTW were the best, and black raspberry sorbet with a side of whipped cream. Experience, service, interior, atmosphere were top notch. Tony helped us through our meal and he was absolutely excellent. We are looking forward to our next meal there!

    We came for a date night and the atmosphere was so nice and all the workers were so kind, especially our fav waiter Jonathan!     Many stations did not have food, plenty of eggs and bacon, but the shrimp station was empty 2 of 3 times. I never got to try the tenderloin because the station was not attended and was empty. For premium meat, I had lamb, though I had to cut it myself, and it had been sitting there so long it cooled and dried. Service was good in general, though I did have to ask for coffee 3 times before I got it.

    We go here all the time for dinner and it’s great. I would never go again for a holiday buffet. Completely disorganized the buffet food was cold and they couldn’t keep up with restock.

    Easter Brunch (NOT individual dinners). Price was very reasonable for Boston. However, staff wasn't as attentive to buffet items that had run out, had to ask for them to be replenished a couple times. 1-2 items they ran out of, which surprised us since reservations were required and they should have better planned quantity for the duration of the brunch. Mimosa's not worth it, mostly orange juice - very little alcohol, and we're not big drinkers. Service at table was very good. Ambience was great, they didn't overbook reservations and pack people in. Staff was very courteous. Overall the food and selection was good for a buffet.

    We were there for Easter brunch, and it was not worth the $74/person trip (plus garage parking) into the Seaport area. Coffee was cold (including refills). Lagging replenishment of buffet items generated lines of patient patrons being kept waiting (not to mention complaining audibly). Hot buffet items that were available were room temp at best. No sign of any breads (bagels, muffins, etc). And the OJ tasted funky. Service was decent up until a nearby bus tray was tipped and dumped at my heels. We won’t be visiting Eddie Merlot’s again and if we do venture back into the Seaport area we’ll hit the buffet across the street at Aura (Seaport Hotel). Sorry but you asked.

    HUGE disappointment! Went for Easter Brunch & I’ll start by saying something positive, which is that most of their staff was friendly & kind and the table we sat at was in a quiet corner with large leather swivel chairs that were extremely comfortable. But unfortunately that’s where the positivity ends. We had a party of 10 and based upon the restaurants Easter Brunch ads, we expected a very nice upscale brunch. Unfortunately that is not what we got. The buffet was horrendous. The entire time we were there the buffet was missing at least half of the items, they were not replenishing it quickly enough or at all & there were MANY unhappy diners. The Manager was useless. The carving stations were constantly out of meat and when they did restock it was small amounts so they ran out again quickly. I had a baby lamb chop that was good, but the pork was extremely over cooked and tenderloin filet when it did come out was almost raw-every single time! It was bizarre. Now come on, for a supposedly prime steakhouse, how can you not know how to cook a piece of meat. People waited and waited for more meat to come out and most, including me, gave up. I ended up eating mostly bacon (I waited 15 minutes for it) scrambled eggs and salad - the dressings were out as well so had to wait about 10 minutes to even get dressing to put on the salad. Everything was put out in a careless manner and it all appeared picked through. They were also not cleaning up the buffet tables so there was food spilled all over the place, especially where the desserts were located, which was highly unappetizing. Everything looked manhandled. I did have some bananas foster which I asked if I just put it on a plate and the server said oh I can get you some ice cream to put it over, which he did. So I guess if I didn’t say anything, then I’d just put it in a little plate & go on my way? BTW, that’s what everyone in front of me did. All in all it was a major cluster! Poor value. Bad decision.     Expensive but well-prepared, high quality dishes. Cap Grill quality without the Cap Grill prices. Good variety of menu items and unique offerings. Cocktail menu was great; something for everyone. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. I had grilled romaine, filet mignon potstickers, and trio of medallions and all were outstanding. This will be my go-to steak house!

    We started the evening having a drink at the bar. Damani was friendly, attentive, and made the best drinks! The espresso martini was a favorite in our group. Our party was seated for dinner and Jonathan was on top of service the entire evening! Jonathan was one of the best servers we have ever had, answered all our questions, made sure things moved nicely but did not rush us at all. The food was amazing. It was the perfect choice for a birthday celebration with family. Jonathan interacted well with the entire group and made the experience very enjoyable!

    The food was great! Roasted oysters were New Orleans style. Steak was cooked perfectly. Our server Jonathan was awesome. New the menu and cocktail list inside and out. His recommendations were spot on! We will definitely be returning. Pricing was reasonable and comparable to other good steak houses in the area. Make sure you have the table side bananas Foster. Have Jonathan prepare it. He's the best!
