Now well into our third decade in business, Eddington’s attributes the restaurant’s success to creating flavorful and creative meals consistently using the best of Huron County’s bounty.
Owner James Eddington states “we are so blessed to be living in such an agriculturally rich area of the world”.
Although the local food movement is really starting to take off, it has always been the driving force in Eddington’s kitchen. A menu that changes frequently, as each season inspires the delicacies our region has to offer.
Eddington’s occupies the original Carling homestead (built in the 1870’s). After two major renovations, an addition of the a new dining room and a serene outdoor backyard summer patio, the restaurant has a clean and modern look while maintaining its traditional and warm feel.

The outdoor patio is a very enjoyable atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoy the live music on Wednesday evenings. Menu is very accommodating for specific diet requirements.

We had a table for 6 on the patio and it was lovely for a September night. Heaters and blankets available are a nice touch. Food and staff were fantastic and welcoming and live music was really enjoyed - perfect setting for a great night with friends

Food and service were good, the experience was worth the little extra that we paid compared to some locals diners. Beer and drinks are in line with local establishments. Would go back and try the dinning room next time.

Eddington's was a jewel in the middle of idyllic Exeter. I would highly recommend the troat and the lamb shank. Deserts were also quite extraordinary. Don't miss it when you're in the Grand Bend area.

It’s always a treat to have dinner at Eddington’s! So hard to decide what to order, as every single dish is incredible (believe me, I’ve probably tried them all). And it’s really great that many menu items are sourced from locally grown and locally farmed products.

The service was great, the food was delicious although 2 of our meals were not as hot as they should have been. The waiter took them back and had them warmed up. All in all a pleasant experience.

We have been dining at Edingtons for dinner and lunch for over 20 years. In that time never had a bad experience. All meals are off the highest quality. James Eddington is the consummate owner and host. He supports local providers to ensure the true meaning of field to plate.
