Now well into our third decade in business, Eddington’s attributes the restaurant’s success to creating flavorful and creative meals consistently using the best of Huron County’s bounty.
Owner James Eddington states “we are so blessed to be living in such an agriculturally rich area of the world”.
Although the local food movement is really starting to take off, it has always been the driving force in Eddington’s kitchen. A menu that changes frequently, as each season inspires the delicacies our region has to offer.
Eddington’s occupies the original Carling homestead (built in the 1870’s). After two major renovations, an addition of the a new dining room and a serene outdoor backyard summer patio, the restaurant has a clean and modern look while maintaining its traditional and warm feel.

    The room temperature was quite cool which made it a little uncomfortable. More shrimp needed in the Korean Bowl but otherwise delicious.

    My twin and I were celebrating our Birthday. Every year we go and celebrate our milestone at your restaurant. We turned the big 70!! It was everything we expected, our waitress was so nice and our meal was fabulous. Thanks so much for your fine dining.

    As always the food & service was excellent. We tried the Korean Bowl for the first time and we loved it, great flavour. The bailey's cheesecake was delicious. Our server was excellent, very friendly. Very nice that James stopped by our table to check on everything.

    I lunched with four relatives -- our monthly reunion. They had all been to Eddington's before but it was my first visit. Definitely will not be my last. So many good choices on the menu. We tried different entrees and everyone was delighted (turkey slider, burger, club). I had the Korean bowl. It was absolutely delicious -- fresh, crunchy, varied, great spicing (tasted authentic to me), and excellent value. Coffee was fresh. Service was welcoming and professional. The room is lovely and the acoustics are excellent. Thank you, Eddington's of Exeter.

    We had a lengthy visit over lunch, everyone enjoyed their food. I particularly like the onion soup. We had a private feeling table in the front window and felt no pressure to rush our visit. The service was terrific, both the host and server were attentive and pleasant. Well done!

    I’d only been to patio and the live music was very entertaining. Absolutely delicious. Food Presentation was pleasing. Crème brûlée was cold but still delicious. The server was excellent. The bathrooms are upstairs (not accessible for people with mobility issues) but I do think there are bathrooms off the patio too. Overall I’m always pleased.

    I appreciate the waiter we have had the past three times we have been there such a sweet human being. The drinks are amazing I recommend espresso martini and eddingtons coffee. We love going here on our special occasion nights. The beef braised rib is something to shout about. It was SO PERFECTLY DELICIOUS.
