Perhaps, we are just used to Tex-Mex, but we were not very impressed with the food. It was just so so- nothing really stood out. We did not feel the meal (for 5) was worth the $200+. That’s just us. We were sat in a private dining area with glass on two sides, which was great, but it took almost 15 minutes before anyone came to check on us, plus as the sun was setting, there was no window coverings so the sun was blaring right into our eyes. Our waiter was AWESOME though!

The food was great. The atmosphere is just ok. It feels a little like a cafeteria. You have done things to make it look and feel more cozy. The light fixtures and the sound tiles. But there is still something missing. I may be that it is too open in general and needs plants and cubby’s to vary it up.

Our group of 6 had an excellent experience: caring and attentive waiters, truly spectacular food, an extensive menu, dynamite homemade red and green sauces, easy reservations via website link, no problem with separate checks, and a good cocktail according to our one group member who indulged. We will all definitely return!

This is my fourth visit to El Alma and it’s fast becoming one of my favorites. The food is excellent and the service is too. I love that I can make a reservation on Open Table. Looking forward to dining on the patio when it’s cooler.

My cocktail, the guacamole that was half lettuce, and the flautas were all underwhelming. Glad I also got a taco al pastor, which was tasty and filling. Usually I stick to the mole enchiladas here and will plan to just do that in the future. Service was personable but obviously stretched thin over lots of tables, so we had to wait a bit to flag our server down and pay the bill. Just ok.

Love it when a place is just EASY. It was easy to park, then we were greeted promptly & kindly, then sat at the exact table I was hoping for. Food was EXCEPTIONAL. Service was overall good too. I bring people from out of town here since I know it will make me look good because of the experience at El Alma. Thanks!!
