   Too much theatrics and not enough focus on food and service. Some dishes under delivered and seemed too basic in thought and execution. For example, our lobster roll was undercooked and a few dishes were dry (like they were cooked earlier in the day). However, other dishes like the buñuelos were very good. As for service, many of the staff we’re constantly walking around seemingly out of place, asking us if we wanted more water, and in one occasion discussing logistics while delivering plates. Also, because the menu is so large, we felt rushed as they were presenting dish after dish without some time between them. We some some tables were multiple dishes were brought at the same time. Overall, ok menu and dishes, too much theatrics and an overpriced and overrated feel.

   An outstanding and unique dining experience. Exquisite food, beautifully presented, first class service. Nicely paced through the extensive dishes. A rare treat - for the palate, the mind and in fact all the senses. One dish is truly unique and almost touches the soul. Highly recommend.

    Simply amazing! The vibrant tastes in literally every bite of this experience make it one we will talk about for a long time. We kept match up our favorites after every course. We opted for the 9-glass wine pairing, but they also have a cocktail and mocktail pairing and, judging by the cocktails we saw come from the bar, that would’ve been amazing too. The service was phenomenal, but we didn’t understand why certain courses came one after the other and at other times there were long lags in between. The entire experience was 3 hours and worth it, especially since we were celebrating our anniversary.

    This is definitely an experience! I highly recommend "The Experience " which is a 20 course dinner. Every bite is delicious and the service is exceptional. They present and explain each course in great detail. We opted out of the wine pairing, and it was perfectly fine because the food is the main star and we were stuffed by the end. I liked the whole creativity and obviously the food preparation was on point. Some courses will surprise you and immerse you into the Colombian countryside. In my opinion, this restaurant has earned its well-deserved Michellin star. I plan to return to try another menu since they change their menu every 6 months. You definitely need a reservation because the seating is limited and the experience takes @ 3 hours.

    We celebrated our wedding anniversary and there were rose petals on the table when we arrived, recognition of what we were celebrating by the wait staff and a special heart panna cotta dessert. The food was very good, and the chocolate hand exfoliation EXPERIENCE was very unique and amazing. We chose the wine pairings to go with our EXPERIENCE Menu and it worked out very well. The staff are well trained in service and with all the nuances of the food and drink they are serving you. Truly a great and special occasion experience.

    Beautiful restaurant, some really wonderful dishes, but not consistently excellent, too many courses with the tasting menu, and too expensive for what is delivered. Tasting menu plus accompanying wines (the shorter flight, ie the cheaper option for wines) plus tip for 2 people is more than $1,000….and not all of the dishes are exceptional.     El Cielo is simply MARVELOUS!!! Everything was done to perfection. My husband and I are foodies traveling around the world always looking for the best eating experiences.     This was my first Colombian dining experience and was certainly both novel and very tasty. All dishes were delicious and the presentation imaginative. It is difficult to chose a favorite as all were excellent. The service was attentive and the team were very helpful in explaining some of the ingredients new to me.     Very interesting dishes, and some were really great, but overall the food seemed overly complicated and many of the flavor combinations did not seem to work, and some were overly sauced/spiced, and others were a bit on the chewy side. Service was really great though.

    Overall I guess my expectations were too high on special tasting menu. Unfortunately nothing was a wow for the experience and value. Service however was incredible. Food was very average for a high end one Michelin star restaurant. Experienced it don’t think will visit again.
