   The servers were very friendly and attentive. As we had a large party it can sometimes be harder to handle but it was seamless service. The food is amazing!!!! There's so much love put into it. I'm going to say as a drink snob these were some of the best cocktails I have had in forever. A big thank you and keep doing what you are doing as its perfect.

   Love this local gem and glad we made a reservation. The coctails are always amazing and the food is delicious! Tonight my favourite dish was the brussel sprouts. I would have eaten the whole dish to myself but had to share.

   Wow El Santo ignites and full fills all my senses. The ambiance and modern and original decor is on point. The tequila, specialty drinks and all the food are delicious and you cant help but savor every bite. Yum. The music is great and the staff, owner and service are all 5 star. Ive been here 4 times and i will be continuing to come back and tell my friends about el santo. Also a huge selection for anyone who is Gluten Free ❤️

    Very nice place. Took my lovely girlfriend there, we had a great time. I had the Wagyu steak which was delicious, she ordered fish, which came in one piece, head on, a little shocking for her and I could only mention that I was pleased there wasn't Swordfish on the menu. 🤭😉🥰

    So good! The margaritas, chips and salsa trio, guacamole trio, and tacos were all delicious. The corn bread was like dessert. The restaurant is beautiful with a good vibe and the service was great.

    Great place to socialize or have a date. The staff are incredibly kind and mother said a bit longer than her allotted which I appreciated. Food has much improved and was quite delicious

    We decided to go to El Santo for a valentine’s dinner date. We were seated at a table that hadn’t been wiped and had to ask for it to be cleaned (there had been chunks of white fish on the seat too). Took 15 min to be served water, another 15 min before our drink and food order was taken. Took 40 min for our appy and nearly an hour and a half for our entrees. I ordered the enchilada suizas and it completely bland. Dry flavour less chicken and a sauce that tasted like plain Greek yogurt with a touch of cilantro. Sent it back and got an alternate dish, but it still took 20 min for my food and by the time it arrived my husband had been done his meal for 15 min. Service was super slow, had to ask multiple times for more water. They couldn’t handle the volume of an expected busy night, the food was mediocre, prices were high. Used to be much better. Not going back again, it’s gone very downhill and made for an extremely disappointing valentines date night. We joked on the drive home that McDonald’s would have been more enjoyable than sitting for 2 hours for an expensive and disappointing meal. No apologies from staff for the delays, no explanation on why things were moving slow. Just bad all around.

    Loved the food. To begin with the waitress was amazing very informative and helpful then it Got very busy and we were ignored for quite some time. The waitress didn’t even come to ask us if we were anted another drink but to be fair I think they were under staffed and training a couple people. But still…. We will be back anyway for sure and hope it improves

    We wanted to try dine out Vancouver and selected El Santo. The food was excellent and we had a lovely evening with friends although it was extremely loud. The boar belly especially was very good!

    Our reservation was for 6. We were sat at a small table beside the door, and it was freezing. My husband had to wear his coat while eating his meal. Our server took our drink & appetizer order. Our appetizer arrived, but no drinks. Our drinks finally showed up half way through our appetizer. We ordered the Queso fundido, which was SO over cooked you couldn’t even dip your chip into. You had to cut it with a fork & knife. I’m not exaggerating. It should be ooey & gooey & dippable. No one stopped by to ask how the food was, so couldn’t even address the issue. We still had menus on the table eating our appetizer, as our server hadn’t even took our meal order yet. Finally she stopped by to take our meal order. The food showed up in a timely manner, which is surprising because both mine and my husbands entrees were lukewarm at best. Very disappointing. Again, no server in sight to ask how the food was to correct the issue. So we ate our cold entrees. I assume since it was dine out Vancouver, & we both ordered entrees that were also entrees from the DOV special, they were mass produced & sitting under a heat lamp. Or not? There was little heat. The flavor was great. But sadly overshadowed by the temperature. Our server stopped by as we were done eating. I had tried flagging her down numerous times to get another drink (since the first one took almost half an hour). She finally asked how the food was. At this point we were done, so I just said “it was fine”. And asked for to go boxes. The drinks were great. Service was absent. Food tastes great when it’s done right but that night missed the boat by far. Sadly this is the second time we’ve come where service has just been… not it.

    We had a reservation. We were told 1.5 hours maximum seating time. We waited 20 min for our drinks. We were 2 people in our party. Since we were busy we ordered a margarita a beer and a bottle of wine. Server comes back and tells us we can’t order 3 drinks at once and I can’t drink a bottle of wine by myself. At this point I wasn’t really happy and cancelled the wine and ordered a Pepsi. Never heard of this law. We got a new server which was nice and food was good

    the noise in the restaurant was unbearable. When I asked for a table away from a very loud party of young woman my request was granted in a very poor manner. The soup and mains where both lukewarm. The second beer I ordered never made it to the table, but did appear on the bill. The wait for each course was excessive. (also the bill)

    There was live music, which was lovely but occasionally too loud as we were seated next to it. The pork belly appetizer was likely one of the best things I’ve eaten in a long time, service was friendly and kind albeit slow as it was a very busy night.

    I took my friend for dine out for her bday. We found parking on the street right across from the restaurant. We each ordered a different appie, entree, & dessert and then shared everything. We got to try more this way. We were seated, quickly, ordered quickly, and the food came out quickly. It was fun to try all the different flavours and it was delicious. The servers were friendly and the person cleaning the tables even helped us with finding directions to the next place we had to visit, Hidden Wonders magic show (amazing must see!!). Tables were close together and we chatted with the people next to us. Great atmosphere and dining experience. It was a little hard to hear, but our energy was high and matched the high energy of the restaurant. Will for sure come again to try some other foods. Also, the scallops were cooked to perfection and my friends mock cocktail margarita was delicious.
