We were very disappointed. We ordered the trio for $22.00
Person 1: salmon, roasted Brussels sprouts and pizza with one beer
Person 2: salmon, roasted Brussels sprouts and Cesar salad with two beers
The bite size piece of salmon was over cook and cold, Brussels sprouts very salty and the pizza and Cesar salad were ok.
The free desert was not worth.
The whole experience was very disappointed and overpriced for the food we had.
The only thing that we enjoyed was the roof top, but unfortunately we will not be coming back
Just took awhile to get drink order and then meal order. Food was very good but a little on expensive side. Ordered coffee and came cold. Sent it back, was offered another cup however I choose not to wait for another cup and of course not charged for the coffee.
The patio is lovely, service good, and the food was tasty, but it was way too expensive.
The lunch and dinner food for value is excellent at this restaurant, but the brunch is bad value for the dollar, in my opinion.
Thank you for your visit and feedback! We will continue to review our menus and make sure to keep prices to match the quality of the food and service we offer!
Love the brussel sprouts! The green pea puree with the salmon was not very good. In fact it was yucky! I would try something else there. Maybe a fruity salsa? Ceasar salad was soggy and tasteless. Service was really slow for a not so busy lunch hour
Thanks for your review GailG! I have provided your feedback to our chefs and also spoken with your server.
The wait staff were horrible. It seemed like no one had ever waited tables before. When we arrived there were three people looking at the seating chart - there seemed to be an issue with our table but no one said anything - after waiting 2 minutes I asked "is there a problem?" Then we were finally acknowledged and told to wait at bar. The waitress then thought we were eating there - we had to tell her we were waiing fir our table. She got a bit huffy with that. Tgen they brought the wrong food. To top it off My friend slipped on the floor and broke her finger - the only response she got was "oh yah - the floors are slippery".
Never go back and never recommend it.
Thank you for your visit and review Thegirlz. I did already follow-up with your servers as well as the host team. I can assure you that everyone felt bad for your friend falling and I would like to sincerely apologize for this once more. I would like to invite you back to show this experience is far from our service standards. I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
Reservation started at 5:00p.m. Seated outside on rooftop patio. Our server Colin was attentive and informative on all of the menu items. We sampled 6 different appetizers along with the cocktail special Cherry Smash. What can I say all was amazing. We then continued with our mains halibut - outstanding, roast duck -very tender, flat iron steak- melted in your mouth. We ate, we drank it was a great evening. !!
Thank you for your visit & review! We're glad to hear your experience was 5 starts all around and hope to see you again soon!
Elbow Room was recommended to us by a friend, however we found it to be way too expensive, too noisy and we felt rushed. The waiter was very attentive, but maybe a little too attentive, if that is possible. The food was very tasty and we enjoyed it. However, even though we had a burger and pasta for our mains, one glass of wine each and a salad and brussel sprouts as our appy, our bill was over $120! Too much for our taste unfortunately. We had a hard time having a conversation because of the noise in the restaurant. Sorry, we won't be back.
Thank you for your visit and review Sandy. We try and keep our prices comparable to similar restaurants and only use quality and locally farm grown ingredients as much as possible.
A superb lunch here - the flavours of the tuna plate were to die for, so much so, that I ordered two!
My husband had a chorizo breakfast bowl which was also outstanding.
This place has hit its straps and is now top-drawer in terms of food, service and polish.
Thank you for your review Claire! We are glad to hear you enjoyed everything and hope to see you soon!
Beautiful rooftop patio, delicious food, highly recommend.
Thanks for recommending Elbow Room! We hope to see you again soon!
Went in for a date over lunch with my fiancée, we had the tasting menu which included some fabulous dishes from chef Ryan Blackwell. We had pizza, gochujang shrimp, carpaccio, caprese salad. And every dish was more delicious than the last!
We loved the restaurant so much that we decided to have our engagement party there!
Although the restaurant wasn’t busy, the food took a really long time, and the quality was poor.
There was only 1 waitress working all night. It was difficult to get her attention.
Thank you for your review! I'm sorry to hear service wasn't up to our standards. Now we are making sure we have more support staff and / or management to assist our servers as well!
Service was extremely slow. One server for the entire patio on Fathers day. We will not be back. The experience definitely put a strain on our celebration.
We asked to sit on the patio and were told it was all reserved. We had an hour and a half lunch and the patio sat half full the entire lunch hour.
The food was great, but the service was very poor.
Chorizo Corbonera. Amazing.
Duck breast was mouth watering.
Brussels Sprouts were amazing
A great place ... just a bit too pricey for the value of the food. We had higher expectations of the food. The burger was small, and pizzas were mostly bread. Portion sizes were not great for the price paid. Wine is pricey with no price options that encouraged feeling good about choices made.
10/10 experience at elbow room! We sat on their beautiful patio outdoors, and had fantastic service. We shared three lunch specials which was a small tasting of the whole menu.
I will definitely be returning to the elbow room!
The service was fantastic! The food was ok, nothing special. I have no problem paying top dollar for a meal but the food better be spectacular. The patio is a great place to sit and have a drink.
Great food and atmosphere! Loved the cheese brussel sprouts and mushroom pizza. Will definitely be back.
Lovely outdoor patio. Food was delicious.
I took my friend to Elbow Room for her 73rd birthday. Every thing was delicious except the bread on her sandwich was burnt but she ate most of it anyway and left the end piece. My lunch was delicious.
Cool spot & good food. Probably need more servers or food runners working due to the staff needing to run up & down the stairs if you’re sitting in the second floor.
Fantastic food and venue. Will definitely be visiting again soon!
Loved everything about Elbow Room! Parking was easy too. Food, service & atmosphere was awesome. I would highly recommend Elbow Room.
I was disappointed with my recent brunch experience. We have been to the elbow room several times before for dinner, and had great experiences. Therefore, we were excited to try the patio for brunch with some out of town guests. The brunch was nothing special, quite perfunctory and bland. It’s unclear if they have an expresso machine- as they were unable to make a flat-white. They could not execute a medium poached egg. But worse that the food was the insincere service. It’s far too early for this little Britannia gem to let its standards drop. Hope they wake up and step back to the plate with a little more zing next time... real expresso might help.
Used to be our fav place for brunch n happy hour. Went back recently n found out happy hour food portions have reduced drastically. It'll be nicer if they could simply change/ revamp menu instead. Will not return any time soon - would rather try other places.
Went with a group of 8. We tried many appetizers and all were made very well. The mains were a good size for the price and executed great. Service was top notch.
The food was outstanding!
Our server, Lisa, was perfect. Would go back for that alone. Thank you.
The food and drink was good, but very expensive for the quality. The bathroom was dirty, not what you’d expect based on the price level.
Overall just left with the feeling that the experience was not worth the price. Our server was great though and very attentive.
Had the lunch feature that allows you to choose 3 dishes from a comprehensive list of proteins, vegetables and pizzas for $22. Four of us enjoyed all of our dishes, (pizza, tomato salad, caesar salad, roasted brussel sprouts, salmon and prawns). Perfect portions for lunch! The warm beignets included in the lunch special were a nice touch - beautiful accompaniment for our lattés!
I'd crawl a mile over hot, broken glass for those Brussels sprouts! Our server was attentive and efficient. The noise level is high but we could still hear each other talking. Wine was great! A wonderful night, as I knew from experience it would be.
We have been to Elbow Room twice. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent as well. The ambiance downstairs is better - though with the patio open in the summer - I would think that would be superb. The Open Table reservation did not show up on their system - and even though it was a busy evening they managed to find a table for us. Thank you so much!
Food was good but tables were a bit close together...easier to hear your neighbour's conversations than your own.
We skipped appies as the menu was pricier than we expected. Wine by the bottle, and a decent selection of by the glass as well. The burger was decent, according to the eater. The duck breast was great, though I always hope for a bit o crisp skin which was lacking here. My wife LOVED the pasta; earthy, savoury, just brilliant. If I return I intend to eat at the bar, or anywhete I can see into the kitchen, which is somewhat open to a section of the space...
Food was delicious and the service was outstanding! Really enjoyed our evening.
Food we ordered consisted of two happy hour snacks, 3 wine and a beer. We then ordered 2 regular meals. Pizza and lamb meatball.
Food was above what we expected especially the lamb and couscous. Waited for beer as keg was empty and was charged regular price of $10.00. Although it was well before end happy hour. Would have said something but did not notice until we departed.
Service was quite good.
Ambiance...nothing you could do about it but table next to ours by corner window appeared to have one drink, 2 hour regulars. Very loud. Their conversations took over half the dinning area. Again not your fault.
