We really enjoyed out meal on a Sunday evening with the all day Happy Hour - we had good value (and delicious) margaritas as well as draft beer. Tacos were yummy, especially the pulled pork with a perfect amount of pineapple and a generous amount of meat. Service was top notch - friendly, professional, efficient - and with character. We look forward to returning.

Pleasantly surprised with this place. The pico is expensive for what you get but otherwise the other items are priced right/on point. Service was fast/friendly, ambiance awesome and Mexican. Will Be back.

You must have a new a cook because the food did not come even close to the quality the last two times we were there. The taco's (I had pulled pork and I have forgotten the other taco) was tasteless and looked and felt like a piece of glop. And the lime cheesecake dessert did not come even close to being as delicious as the first few times I came. The last time I came was in the spring and before that in the winter, I think.

Was very excited to try to Eldorado Taco due to high reviews. But honestly, we felt that the food was very mediocre. The cauliflower in the taco we had was on the only thing we enjoyed eating. Guacamole was just ok, the chicken in the chicken quesadilla had a a very strange spice mixture, and the tacos themselves immediately fell apart. We didn’t try the drinks so can’t speak to that, but if you’re looking for dinner in Ottawa, there has to be better place to go that’s cheap and still good.

Server/service was horrible! Another table came after us and they got their food before us. We sat there for a very long time before she took our order. And when the food came, it was cold/didn’t seem fresh. Like it had been sitting on the counter for a while before we got it, which was very consistent with how long we had to wait for our food. It then felt like she was trying to get us to leave when we were done (mind you there were many other empty tables around) asking us if we had a reservation. Yes! We very much did! My experience was much much better when I was there in March! No complaints at all, which is why I recommended that my friend and I go there. I wouldn’t recommend this place anymore! It felt like it was a race thing, like we were being ignored. Note: I still give the server a tip, but it most definitely reflected the poor service, and it should not be taken in any other way.

I was looking forward to bringing friends from out of town as I had a great experience at El Dorado last time I visited. Our 6:15 reso turned into a 6:45 seating, which I understand with the high level of walk-ins due to the Bluesfest concert. We ordered all in one shot to avoid a long wait, but the restaurant was very understaffed and it was a very long wait time. We did not receive any water, which sucks when you're enjoying the delish spicy pineapple marg!! Food was great, the server was lovely, just not a great service experience this time around. I would recommend visiting on a slow night.

It was the first night of Bluesfest, and the restaurant was packed, but it was a fantastic energy before the concert. The food and drinks were amazing! Highly recommend - can’t wait to come back.

Unfortunately our nachos were some of the least flavourful nachos we have ever had. The drinks we ordered were very expensive, $20 for a Watermelon Marg, for drink mix and some alcohol and lots of sugar. It was just a boring drink…. no salt on the rim, no watermelon wedge… just a super sweet pink overpriced beverage. My son had a virgin Pina Colada that looked and tasted amazing. The ambiance, lack thereof, was just boring. The service was stellar, too bad the meal, drinks and ambiace were not.

Drinks were so good! We tried three different margaritas. The spicy pineapple was seriously so good (if you like spice). The waiter was nice and the place is a cool vibe. Nachos were very dry and lacked flavour. The tacos although tasted good, were under stuffed and we left feeling pretty hungry still. I would go back just for the drinks because they were great.

Great place for a casual date night on a beautiful summer evening. Our waiter was attentive, prompt and checked on us with perfect timing. Food was fresh, flavorful and authentic. Prices were fair for quality, ambiance and service provided. Will definitely return! Thx for a great meal out.

Underwhelmed. We had been looking forward to grabbing dinner here before a comedy show and had heard good things. The service was slow, food was tasty but tacos very tiny and overpriced. Margaritas were good. Wait and kitchen staff continually cutting through patio to go to their smoking/vaping area. Won’t be back.

Our Thursday date night was a success at Eldorado Taco! All our tacos were great we were served by Mackenzie who was professional, friendly and over all a fabulous waitress. We will recommend and we will for sure be back!

The chips and guac were mediocre. The chips were cold and unsalted, while the guac was too acidic. The fish was perfectly battered, but it lacked salt, and the taco lacked acidity and salt to complement the fish. The cheesecake was well balanced and the touch of lime added some tartness and offset the heaviness of the cake. The margarita was good and on the sweeter side. Overall average experience

We keep coming back, it’s become one of our fave little spots in town. This time, it was a group of us on a Friday night, and everyone loved their taco choices. To change it up, I had the sliders and would definitely order them again. My girlfriend raved about the passion fruit margarita. Their cocktails are always delicious, water is always refilled, service is always spot on. It was an energetic evening, all tables were full (I suggest you make a reservation if you want to go on a Friday or Saturday night).

The food was meh.. Chips were stale, dips had no flavour, spice or seasoning of any kind. Tacos were just okay. They were a bit small and weren't something to rave home about but the beer was cold and the margarita was nice enough. Sat in a booth that felt like sitting in front of a child in an airplane seat who keeps kicking. You could feel every movement on the seat behind you as the entire booth rocked back and forth. Overall, didn't give us enough to want to come back.

Good food. Reservation for 7 and they only had 6 plates on the table. Had to ask for extra forks, plates, etc. Brought gin & soda instead of gin & tonic, but no big deal. They were attentive and the food was good.
