    Everything was great, had breakfast before which was fantastic. Came back again for dinner this time, we had the Electric burger which was really good, and also the chicken burger and the fish and chips. The chicken was really tender and tasty, a little bit less crumbs would be ideal. Same story with the fish there was a lot of batter, very little fish in comparison to the breading and it was a little over-fried but nonetheless, great food and an amazing atmosphere.

    Super cute spot! Great for young people. Food was good but basic. The decor and 80 theme makes this spot unique. I took my teenage daughter and it was perfect for her. Will go back and check out their brunch for sure!!

    My friends and I were excited to try the food here but we were disappointed unfortunately. My friend returned her milkshake, it was more on the milky than creamy side. The waitress recommended I try the fried chicken mac and cheese. It was ok but not worth 21$ My friends were not fans of the poutine either, the gravy was not hot. The retro vibe was nice though. Wish I could say I'll be headed back but it's a negatory for me. The food looked great aesthically but lacked flavor and hot temperature you'd expect.

    Amazing service and super friendly staff, the atmosphere was so fun and fresh. I got the Cinnamon French Toast Crunch; it was interesting. Good, deep fried but not greasy. Little too crunchy though

    A social eatery that acts as a time capsule to the mid 80's and has the tunes and vibrance to match. The service is fast, considerate, and with a smile and the food was outstanding on every front.

    Staff were friendly, food was good, background music was a bit loud and not my taste
it was very hot outside so we requested an indoor table which they were able to do because they weren’t very busy at the time however the table was right in front of a window with the sun glaring in which made it very hot plus it was right beside the wait staff work centre which made it very busy. Overall food was good not great staff were friendly and accommodating but the atmosphere was uncomfortable. It’s a good place to go for a burger and fries but the environment may not be for everyone.

    Nice atmosphere sitting on the patio. Portions were good. My eggs benne was too salty for my taste and the strawberry cheesecake stack was too sweet. My husbands’ burger had a nice sauce but too salty.

    My wife had been to he electric diner before and she wanted to take me there. The service was wonderful, the food was as advertised and cooked properly as per my taste, and the staff worked as a team. The only issue I had was that if I had used my wheelchair that day I would not have been able to get in as the out door patio blocked the accessible ramp into the restaurant. It was good that I had a fine day (I suffer MS) and could use my cane. I made the staff aware of the situation. All in all a pleasant experience.

    Excellent little spot on a traffic-free street in the centre of Hamilton. Lauren was an amazing hostess (prompt and personable and very flexible as we decided to move inside from our patio seat due to hornet/wasp season). Andrew was an excellent server. Menu and food was good and reasonably priced. I would recommend this diner for brunch.

    Absolutely delicious lunchtime with a grilled cheese and poutine. Upstairs was bustling with people, took a good 10 minutes for the waiter to arrive which was a little slow. But once our order was in, the food came quickly and was very fresh!

    The food was good. It took a while for someone to take our drink order then when we did order we got a different server and he had our food out before the first server even brought our drinks. Other than that it was good. It was quite loud due to another table of 10 but thats not the restaurants fault, I'm only mentioning it in case someones looking for a quiet dining experience

    The food was great, as always. Servers and staff are very nice. We did experience long wait times due to an event, which I understand, but maybe more kitchen and bar staff could be considered when the restaurant is so busy? We’ll be back for sure, this is one of our favourite spots with a great patio.

    Hi JM-Your reso was during the extremely popular pre-Shania Twain show in the city that you were also attending. Regardless of how quick your order might be, there were many orders ahead of you. I personally checked in with you all a few times & apologized for the wait-you were able to dine and drink and make it to the show with time to spare! I hope you reconsider your review as your experience was 100% due to the biggest show in Hamilton-additional wait time should be expected everywhere.

    Great food. I’ve been here before and have had a positive experience, and it was a busy night, however we waited 45 minutes for our drinks, which then 2/5 came incorrectly. We then had to wait another 15 minutes for those 2 drinks to be corrected and told it was because the bar was backed up, which I totally understand, however, fixing drinks should be moved to the top of the line so people aren’t left an hour before getting drinks (the fixed drinks were a can of beer and a cranberry soda so it wasn’t as if it was a cocktail that takes time). We also asked for a second jug of water which never came. I think the server must have been very new because when we asked what was going on he just seemed panicked and didn’t know what to say which it made it awkward - it was a busy night so I’m happy to wait an hour+ for food, but the drinks was a bit much. It was also so loud from the music that I don’t think the server could hear properly which likely contributed to the drink mix up, however, if that’s the case, they should confirm the order before putting it in. Overall, I wouldn’t say don’t go, but, I will be avoiding the George street location on busy nights in the future. The food is consistently good and I think a reasonable wait time for a busy night.

During a big pre-show everyone is in a rush & want multiple items quickly so they can dine, drink and eat before the show. The drinks that came back literally went back to you in under 2 minutes-I personally corrected them for you so I'm 100% sure of this. That night was not indicative of the normal dining experience at either of our locations. I hope you reconsider your review.

    This was a cute multi-level diner. Very nostalgic ambience! The food was delicious and our whole family was satisfied at the end of the meal. For portion sizes the price was a little high, but it was still delicious! I would recommend anyone passing through Hess Village to try this place out.

    Been wanting to try Electric Diner for ages and they did not disappoint! The staff was incredibly upbeat and positive - everyone we interacted with with terrific, but personal shout-outs to Isabelle and Amber for being amazing. They were dealing with being short-staffed and having an issue with their other location, but they were honest about it and followed up at our table many times to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. The food is delicious and the cocktails were really fun. The atmosphere is great with a high nostalgia factor. Try this place, you won't be disappointed! Can't wait to return.

    Electric diner is always good! We go weekly for trivia which always offers good vibes. Food is consistently amazing and the menu changes just often enough to keep things exciting. Occasionally service can be slow when volume is high but I know there are training a lot of new staff and figuring out balance between the two locations, so I think it's something that will keep improving.

    My sister and I took my mother for brunch on Mother’s Day. We found the music loud especially for my mother. The food was good but not hot at all. I didn’t want to say anything to the server because it was Mother’s Day and didn’t want to make it an issue. Probably not the best place to eat with someone in their 80’s. More of of young vibe

    Although I loved the ambience and the food was great, the noise level on the second floor from the music in the speakers was really loud and distracting. Had I been alone, I would have commented to the servers to lower the volume.

    Amazing food and atmosphere. Our waiter wasn't the best.. missed parts of our order, didn't tell us about a mimosa special that wasn't on the drink menu and didn't return to the table after our food was delivered to check up. Our medium eggs benny arrived pretty runny and soft. We wanted to exchange, but had no chance. He was on break when we had to leave and another server took care of our bill. We'll go back. Amazing, unique atmosphere and menu.
