   Had a lovely leisurely Sunday brunch. The food was good, the service was good, brunch cocktails good all in a space where we didn’t feel rushed or crowded. Would come again 100%.

   Great waiter! The seafood entree was small, cooked greens very salty, small potatoes very a la dente. Put off that there's a charge for bread & butter on the table. Will spend $100 elsewhere in the future. (Update: the next morning, entered the lobby to find coffee. Was directed to this restaurant for coffee. $11 for 2 small coffees....)

   The special had a harissa spice that was too spicy. Considering it was early in the evening service was moderately attentive. Had to ask for second glass of wine.

   The hostess did not have a table available at the reserved time. After more than a thirty minute wait, she trie d to seat us in an area far from the Bistro, claiming that I had to designate that seating in the Bistro was requested. I think she was either overbooked or had missing staff, got behind in handling customers with reservations and elected to seat us, and others in a different area across the lobby that was clearly not a Bistro area.

   We waited to be seated in the restaurant because of the ambiance. We had a warm and knowledgeable server that also happened to be the sommelier (Carolyn- you were great!). We will put this on our ‘Be Back’ lest for our next trip to DC!

   I recommend Ellington Park Bistro highly and look forward to returning often. The food was not only delicious but also presented with such flare and obvious care. One person in our party had the scallops, which were flavorful and large. The other had the chicken cordon bleu, which was luscious with the complex mix of flavors. Being brushed with duck fat obviously helped. The wine list complements the food nicely. We noticed many people enjoying colorful cocktails at the bar. Service was outstanding with just enough contact without us feeling rushed.

   Service was incredible!! Food was very good…all three courses! Nice intimate gem of a restaurant …menu is a little thin, but that’s likely why the food is so delicious!! Will certainly be back

    Very nice decor. Friendly staff. Tasty drinks. The deviled eggs were fantastic and the scallops were phenomenal. Maybe the best scallops I have ever had. I will definitely be returning.

    This was our first time at Ellington and won’t be the last. The food was excellent and the service just as good. Hilarious and very fun weight staff, with eclectic taste in music. Will absolutely come back!

    The French onion soup and the cauliflower were excellent. Steak frites good. Mussels and fries very disappointing. Fries were cold, overcooked and limp. Mussels were lukewarm. Unacceptable but after our experience with the rude hostess we were so over it and just wanted to enjoy the evening. Chef Morales was very accommodating after a rocky start. Our waitperson Carolyn was superb. Knowledgeable and personable. Might recommend to friends but not sure.

    Perfect Valentine's Day dinner. We were treated to outstanding friendly service that went out of her way to make sure we received a good description of the dishes we were asking about. Thanks Jamie. The food was delicious in good portions, neither small nor large. We arrived early (7pm) and our table was ready. There was not an abundance of noise.

    Food is important, but service is everything! Our waiter Yafa was simply exceptional. He made our Valentines dinner beyond lovely with his attentive, informed and kind service. With only two weeks under his belt, he already had the menu and drinks down to a science. Every recommendation he made was spot on. We’ll definitely come back just to see him alone. Let’s talk about the food though. The escargot were light and delicious. The scallops crudo were some of the best we’ve ever had. The duck confit was the special, and it was exactly as Yafa described. Simply delicious. I’ve never had as good a dessert as we did last night. A strawberry and chocolate delight. Excited to have found a new favorite restaurant.

    The two tables in the lobby have the nicest ambiance and are beautifully situated. The food was uniformly excellent and the service was terrific. I would return for sure.

    Went there based on good reviews, including WaPo. Food was okay, but overpriced and under flavoured. Service was haphazard, over casual and presumptive.. Drinks very expensive and arrived very late. Tables in annex seating crowded together so it was a challenge to sit and get up.

    We loved this restaurant. Every dish was fantastic, we had escargot en croute, French onion soup, kale frisée salad, seared scallops and steak and it was all top notch, our compliments to the chef! We knew right away we would be coming back again. Our server Baffa was so helpful in choosing the right wine to pair with our food, he was delightful to talk to and made it a very relaxing fun experience. The cocktails are also such a unique experience, truly an art. The ambience of this bistro is the icing on the cake, absolutely lovely, we would love to stay all evening.

    Absolutely wonderful. Food was DELICIOUS! Loved the French onion soup, it has a veal broth! I had the fish (the one over spinach?) it was like butter! My husband had the cordon blu over lentils, also wonderful. Service was impeccable. We will certainly be back!

    After seeing EPB written up by Tom Sistema in the Washington Post, we were excited to try but we’re disappointed. There were no vegetarian entrees, and our waiter did a terrible job discussing food options with us. For my non-veg friends he turned them off on the burger because he described the smash burger as a “normal frozen paddy.” It was not what we were expecting, and I’m sure would have had a different experience with a better waiter. The desserts though I will say we’re divine.

    Amazing, everyone was so nice and sweet. The food was perfect the drinks amazing. They have two lovely sections one all the way at the tops for quick drinks while we waited for our table and the other side was the lovely bar area. Can’t wait to come back for there brunch this weekend

    The food was nothing special at Brunch. The restaurant wasn't clean. Food was still on the floor from the dinner service, no one swept up. Even after we mentioned the issue it wasn't taken care of. The hostess was lovely and the food was good, but really just like any hotel menu and food. Find another place from brunch.

    Located on the first floor of the St. Gregory, a trendy, upscale hotel, with wonderful windows perfect to people-watch if seated in the main dining area with a vibrant bar. We were immediately seated in the cozier, quieter back dining room. The host was most accommodating in seating us at a requested corner table. From there, service was friendly but spotty. Started with a tasty, crafted cocktail, In a Mellow Tone, which had an unfortunate mishap the first time it was made and took quite a while to be re-made without apology. Food was excellent - lump crab deviled eggs were creamy with a hint of crab; French onion soup was awesome; steak frites and beef bourguignon were excellent. We might have been better guided on wine selection.

    Service was bizarre. We began with one server and another came by and pushed our server out of the way, saying he would be our new server and saying "Who cares?" when we asked if his colleague -- the original server -- was upset or confused. Before we ordered, one of the hostesses came by and took our menus; when I said we hadn't ordered, she grabbed most of them anyway and walked off (presumably because they were low on menus?). The burger was served well-done though we'd asked for mid-rare, the fries were badly over-salted, but the bourbon sour was a highlight (the only one?). You could tell how little attention had been given to details when we read the menus which were rife with typos (someone please get a copy editor for these folks). It's a bit of a mess and we won't be back.
