Elm Hurst Inn and Spa
Savour locally-inspired menus prepared by Executive Chef Michael Davies and soak up the atmosphere of our nine private dining rooms. We can comfortably accommodate groups of up to 60 guests.
Our large patio is open for al fresco dining days and nights during the summer months. Or enjoy an after dinner drink at our lobby bar.
We have been there several times and it's always been a pleasure. Your service staff have always done a wonderful job. Thank you
Chairs in room were uncomfortable, couldn't get another sent in, room layout was odd with wasted space and vegetables for dinner were pretty much raw.
An excellent weekend getaway. We did a massage in the spa which was excellent. Spent some time in the hot tub and steam room afterwards. Dinner was the chef's menu and was excellent. Who would have thought of combining blueberries and potatoes, very interesting flavor combination. All and all a great place would recommend.
Excellent food, wonderful environment, very comfortable rooms. Love staying at Elm Hurst.
We arrived early and had time constraints ( I called prior to reservation) and the staff were waiting and aware and handles the party of 7 with ease . They were awesome and so was the food . One of our favorite places when heading up to London
We went on Sunday to the Prime Rib buffet. If you like your Prime rib rare it is a good choice, but for those who like it more medium it will not appeal to you. They will not put it on the grill to warm up a bit more.. Overall good food, for a decent price.
Elmhurst Inn is my favourite dining spot in this area. The Inn has a lovely ambiance and it is always a pleasure to have an opportunity to dine there. Sunday brunches are terrific. My recent visit was for a mid-week lunch with a friend from Toronto, and the food was delicious. Best of all, the expert servers add to the experience. Three cheers for Kathy who is a super server and very knowledgeable about the area. It is always delightful to catch up with her each time we visit. I am also excited to see what the new chef will be doing with the menu.
Fantastic food, catered to food allergies with ease and very friendly efficient staff. We had a great evening experience at Elm Hurst!
Great food and fabulous service. We requested a private room for our gathering if possible and they were able to accomodate our request. We will definitely return very soon.
Relaxing, wonderful atmosphere. and buffet, with something for everyone. Employees were welcoming and tentative. The food was excellent.
My New York Steak had grizzle throughout, my wife's Prime Rib was tough.
Went for a mother/daughter weekend and we were very pleased!! Would recommend.
What a great location for our anniversary little get away, lovely environment, great food and wonderful staff
We attended the New Year Day evening buffet. Although there was ample choice of dishes, it was generally felt that the New Year Day brunch was the better time to go. The salad choices were really good, but we found the pork and salmon a bit on the dry side. Our server was friendly, but was slow to remove our plates and provide coffee fill up and water. We have attended the Elmhurst on many occasions and found the food and service very good. Our recent experience will not deter us from coming again.
We enjoyed our brunch for New Year's Day. The food was good for a few exceptions. I didn't like your breakfast sausage; for some reason there didn't seem to have much taste. I was disappointed in your "frozen beans and carrots". They were over cooked and the carrots were like wood. I would suggest organic carrots since they are much more flavourable. I did enjoy the shrimp and crab salad to start off with and your variety of breads. The eggs benedict was above delicious except I would have liked the muffins toasted. Coffee was great and the service from Katy was above par. There was a crack in the water glass that I noticed and was replaced quickly. I liked the displays of local artists. Because of the price, it won't be a regular eating spot but for special occasions, it works for us.
One of the best meals out I have had in a long time.
What a fabulous experience. Food, service, and experience was amazing. On the more expensive end but definitely worth it and worth the drive.
One group was very loud and because it was a small room, it was hard to hear the one person I was with. The food was okay. The service time was good.
Had the Dicken buffet, great selection and extremely well done. Prime rib was perfect.
Been to the inn 3 times. Food is good. Service is very poor. Never asked if I have been to the restaurant or instructions on where to go and what to do. For dinner our bread never came. Also takes forever to pay.
Our family enjoys getting together at the Elmhurst Inn Restaurant. It's location along the 401 makes it easy to get to from all directions. We prefer the weekend Lunch Buffet as it offers something for everyone. There is a good array of food on the buffet without it being overwhelming. As our members include small children we are pleased when we can find child friendly staff and a setting with high chairs without forsaking the feel of a classy restaurant. We have not been charged for our little ones (under 3) eating off their parent's buffet plates. Neither have we ever felt rushed or hurried.
The entire family enjoyed the selection from salads through to desserts. Will definitely be back for brunch.
The food and atmosphere was great. The staff was pleasant. A lot of selection and the dishes on the brunch was topped up.
Really enjoyed the overall experience. Only fault was that the chef forgot the dressing on both our garden salads and it took a little while before it was brought to our table. I had the "Bulgogi" which is pictured here...delicious!
We went to Elm Hurst for an anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint. Many great options on the menu. We both enjoyed our appetizers (soup) and mains (pork chops, salmon). Service was attentive and friendly. It was more money than we'd usually spend but appropriate for a special occasion.
I had the lamb which was grilled perfectly and was delicious! My wife had the pasta and it also was delicious. I was a little let down with the minimal whiskey choices but over all had a great night.
This was my first time dining at Elm Hurst Inn. I was with two friends and we thoroughly enjoyed the buffet lunch and quiet room allowing conversation. Definitely will return and will recommend to friends.
service very attentive and friendly and food was excellent
This was my first experience at this restaurant. I was very please and impressed by the quality of service and ambiance the Inn had to offer.
I was disappointed in the appetizer selection, my girlfriend and myself ordered the board as the pickings were slim. Not very satisfied with the size of the board compared to the price of almost $20.00.
need to add more meat to this.
Our entrees were very good and I would give the overall experience a 10/10. It completely met my expectations of what this place is complemented for. I will definitely return at a later date for a nice meal, hopefully the board will in fact be a little more bountiful.
Thank you Elmhurst.
Excellent unhurried meal in delightful surroundings. Our waitstaff were attentive and pleasant.
Would highly recommend.
