Great food, service and view
Beautiful view of the Grand ! Everything is beautiful in the Mill.
Service was very slow, we waited over a half hour to have our drink order taken. Also, we made a reservation ahead of time and weren’t seated at a great table which was disappointing. Food was outstanding but didn’t quite make up for the service and price.
Food and wine pairing were amazing, loved the menu and all the dishes were a hit! We would go back for another special occasion.
Had a wonderful anniversary dinner with my wife at Elora Mill. The newly renovated mill looks amazing. We were seated by a window looking over the gorge with a wonderful view. We chose the four course option with the wine pairing. The staff were professional and friendly and the food was exquisite.
Thoroughly enjoyable experience. Good food, service and view. Helpful staff and great tasting food.
Celebrated 20th Anniversary and couldn’t have received better service!! Sat at the bar and received 2 glasses of champagne. What a lovely touch!! We will be back!!
Thank goodness for a proper restaurant in Fergus-Elora. Even with a brand new operation and Staff, it was really great and we shall be back.
View was picturesque (a little industrial) and for an evening dinner in the solarium sunglasses are a must,(faces west). Service was friendly and prompt and dishes came in a timely manner. The downside, as much as the dishes are well presented they were extremely overpriced. Dinner for two with a glass of wine for close to $300!!. Once for the experience but will not go back. Needs to have daily specials like the Cambridge Mill.
This was one of the best if not the best restaurants I have ever been to. The food was exceptionally delicious. The cocktail I ordered "Kicked by a Mule " is now my favourite. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. The rest of the staff was equally friendly. It was our anniversary. We were giving complementary champagne and a lovely petit four plate at the end of our meal. I'm looking forward to visiting again already. It made our anniversary even more special.
The food was sparse, over-priced, with non-complimentary ingredients. We left very disappointed.
The service and food were excellent! I would love to go back to the Elora Mill in a year or so when they have been open longer than two days. While we greatly enjoyed our meal there were small things (no blinds, some unfinished work etc) from the Mill being newly opened that could have made our experience better. We were also unaware that the menus was designed to be eaten in four courses (the waitress informed us once we were there, but nothing online). We only ordered entrees and were a bit disappointed in the portion size (our fault I suppose for assuming they would be more “entree” sized since we didn’t go with the 4 course option.
Overall, we did have a lovely time. Our waitress was amazing, and all the other staff was very attentive. The location is truly gorgeous. We will definitely be returning when some kinks have been ironed out and look forward to another delicious meal.
Attended on opening day so expected a few kinks to be worked out. On the whole it was an enjoyable experience. Dining room is lovely with beautiful views of the river. Food is good but the portions for lunch were extremely small . I was still hungry after salad and entree. I am sure things will have improved in a few months.
Brand new restaurant, so a little confusion among the staff existed and was understandable. it was not a major issue. Food was very good. View was excellent. Quite pricey, though I suspect we are in part supporting the restoration project. Would certainly recommend it for special or semi special occasions.
We scheduled our anniversary dinner during their reopening night and it was worth the wait. It was quite wonderful!
