Elora Mill Restaurant
Great place for a special occasion and a weekend getaway. Service was good but not over the top
The food and view were lovely but I did find it rather noisy and a little hard to hear. The restaurant was about 3/4 full. Needs something to reduce the noise level such as sound absorbing paintings perhaps.
We were impressed with the venue, the view is lovely and the food was presented beautifully.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
We were also happy to meet the owner and hear about future plans.
First class experience! We will definitely be back.
Wonderful ambiance, excellent food and superlative customer service. We had moved our reservation fro 6:15 to 7:30 with only a couple hours' notice and they accommodated us. We even got the "gorge view" - having been told it would be a 20 minute wait (and being escorted downstairs to the equally lovely view for cocktails), we expected at least a 30 minute wait and were pleasantly surprised to be escorted to our table in less than 20 minutes. Andrew, our server, was attentive when he needed to be and also gave us space when we needed it. How did he know that?? Altogether a fabulous experience.
Stunning view overlooking the Elora gorge. Excellent, friendly and attentive staff. Food not on par with service and ambience. Great bread, served warm. However, beef bourguignon tough and lukewarm. Turkey tough in turkey sandwich. Schnitzel just ok. Would probably go back for an afternoon cocktail, but not for a meal.
Amazing view, was very immersive with the Gorge. Food was very well thought out and executed. Service was perfect. Wanted to stay all day.
I loved everything about the Elora Mill experience.
Service ,food and attention to detail was nothing short of stellar.
Thank you to the Elora Mill team ..restaurant and spa!
Chris was an excellent server, and our party enjoyed our experience very much.
Had a delicious lunch. This is the third time I have dined at the mill and each time has been most enjoyable. Excellent dishes, kind and attentive service in a beautiful setting.
Really a fantastic experience to have our 25th wedding anniversary! Thank you very much.
Quality is there...my only slight disappointment is the cost, but this is expected in a top end establishment.
Delicious food and wonderful setting. The staff were friendly and helpful.
great location and everything done well as a total dining experience -therefore you pay more but that is expected - however for the price they should have a little more happening with their special of the day - e.g. we had a roast beef sandwich and that was it - nothing on the side - yes I would recommend this for a special event or if the view and ambience are the most important aspects of your outing
Macaroni with lobster was terrible. Tasteless. Service was great and it is a beautiful place, but the quality of the food, and food selection, was terrible.
Expected more after hearing many good things. Was good but not memorable.
Great meal. Great service. Wait staff very informative of choices.
Excellent lunch. Had the burger and fries. So goood. Great atmosphere and service
The Elora Mill is a beautiful place for a working lunch, an intimate dinner or a group celebration. The views, the food, the service, the ambiance - all outstanding! I've been twice now and will certainly be back ;)
Our lunch with our Aunt and Uncle overlooking the falls was worth the trip from Hamilton. The staff is well trained and attentive. Even on a rainy day it was a stunning view. They have done a wonderful renovation enhancing the old mill style. We would have enjoyed wandering around town to explore the great shops.
It was approaching Halloween and there is a local artist that had decorated the streets with mystic creatures. I would definitely go again.
My husband and I truly enjoyed our experience. The plant based burger was the best we had ever eaten and the portion was larger than expected. The service was amazing. It was my husband's birthday and knowing that we were Vegan the staff surprised him with a vegan Birthday treat! We will definitely visit again.
First time to enjoy The Mill, and was not disappointed. From the hostess’ greeting, to initial cocktail at the bar, to seating at the window, with Andrew’s perfectly attentive service, to the most delicious meal, it all added up to be more than the sun of its parts. We we will definitely be back!
Fantastic! Ask for table with a view.
Had a wonderful time for our first anniversary at the Elora Mill. We were pleased to have our request for the solarium seating be given to us. What a wonderful view of the water. Our only regret would be booking so late in the evening, as it grew dark and we could no longer see out into the river. The food was exceptional and they even had a themed Thanksgiving menu. We found the timing between courses to be well thought out, giving you time to appreciate what you just ate, as well as finish off your drink. We were given complimentary drinks with our dessert which paired perfectly, as well as a little treat at the end. I would go back today if I could, but I should let my wallet rest.
Wonderful visit. Disappointed the hostess couldn’t find my reservation, but we were able to be seated in the Solarium at the time requested.
All future anniversaries of any type will be done at the Elora Mill.
First rate experience and can't wait to return.
The service was amazing and the food was incredible.
We had very high expectations for this venue having known the old mill well. The outside was stunning, but the inside ambiance fell short without crisp table cloths and the cutlery was covered in water spots. We could ignore this, as we were given a lovely table right at the window as requested, but were shocked and displeased to be told that on a Monday at lunch, the beef tenderloin was already not available. The hamburger and fries were outstanding, but not exactly the elegant birthday meal we had envisioned. Once we found out that the beef was unavailable, my mother opted for the salmon, which was served on a bed of delicious salad. Unfortunately, that salad was also our chosen appetizer and we would have appreciated our server, Shannon, who was very pleasant and professional, to suggest an alternative appetizer since it was basically the same thing. The birthday truffle surprise plate was wonderful and saved the day, but sadly, we are unlikely to return.
Delicious breakfast, excellent service and a stunning view.
The Elora Mill received an extensive renovation and re-opened for business in 2018. The Elora Mill Restaurant has benefitted from this reno. in the creation of a wonderful glass-walled dining room that offers stunning views of the Tooth of Time waterfall and the Grand River. The room is great, with one significant exception: the HVAC system that presumably keeps the glass-walls free of condensation is really noisy. Imagine having a really nice dinner and a few feet above your head is this fairly loud hum; my guests and I thought it sounded like the motor from a hot tub running overhead during our entire meal. It completely drowns out their sound system, and occasionally it made conversation at the table a challenge.
The food is excellent. The ingredients are fresh and locally sourced. The dishes are full of imagination, and the results are delicious. The service is friendly and professional. The Elora Mill employs excellent people.
Amazing steak! Service was great and both of our sides were delicious. The wine was also fabulous.
Food and service was amazing. The atmosphere was amazing and overall perfect birthday dinner
The Elora Mill restaurant is a beautiful spot to sit and have a wonderful lunch overlooking the Elora gorge. We sat upstairs in their lovely decorated dining room, but downstairs there is also a more casual area with a different menu, where you can observe the Elora gorge from a different view. Can't wait to go again!
The setting and ambiance was very nice and it was a pleasure to be served by the lady who was our server.
Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing: the lamb was over-cooked and lacked flavour; while the steelhead was delicious, being served only on a bed of lettuce it certainly seemed overpriced; and the pumpkin spiced 'eclairs' were not nor were they with the fruit promised in the menu. Being served the 'dregs' of what was an empty carafe of coffee and walking through a cordon of friendly SMOKING gentlemen staff contributed to our overall disappointment!
We decided to try the new Elora Mill to celebrate our anniversary, having had our wedding there many years earlier. In the reservation we had requested a table in the Solarium overlooking the river, and we were given a spot with a great view. The food is excellent and fresh, and the service professional and courteous. I like the new decor, very upscale. As they knew it was our anniversary, we were given complimentary glasses of champagne to start and some elegant petit fours at the end. These little touches made the experience very enjoyable. It is pricey, so not something we would do on a regular basis, but a nice place for a special occasion.
Food presented well but portions too small for the price. My friend ordered a Burger well done..it came burnt on the outside and red inside and the accompanying fries at the top of the bowl were reasonable size but underneath they were only bits and pieces...she did mention that to the Waitress but there was no attempt to alter the final bill to accommodate her comments...
We were in town for business and this place was recommended. We were not disappointed- the food flavour and presentation were amazing. The staff were very attentive and provided top notch service. The atmosphere and ambience were both lovely. The prices were good for the quality! We will definitely be back again next year!
Was a very enjoyable evening..the staff was friendly ...the atmosphere very classy and the view was spectacular
Delicious food, conscientious staff and beautiful location. I really enjoyed my meal!
