   Overall very pleased and the service cannot be beat. From the second you enter the property you will be well taken care of. The couple sitting beside us even got engaged that night which was lovely to witness.

   We got engaged and no such an amazing experience. From view, the ambiance, amazing presentation of food... that ultimately rocked our socks. And we recommend our server Matthew. He knew the menu, and when to engage in conversation, he knew when to step away, and he just knew how to create an amazing vibe.

   We often go to the Mill in Elora for special ocasions. When you asked for a review you gave other restaurant you think we would like. Walker House is in Southhampton, Ontario not Cambridge, Ontario.

    Our trip to the Mill was spontaneous. A nice drive from London, where we live. The Mill is beautiful. Truly. Our table offered us an amazing view. Our service from reception to the table was prompt and courteous. Our server was fantastic. My apologies for not remembering her name, but she offered insight into the food, drink and a little about the area, too. The whole event was awesome. Respectfully though, I would note that the menu was somewhat limited. However, this point is not meant to detract from our experience. We enjoyed the experience greatly.

    Beautiful tranquil setting overlooking cascading water & ancient rocks. The food was delicious & our waitress was very helpful. We both felt relaxed after & would definitely revisit this lovely restaurant.

    Beautiful atmosphere and lovely view of the gorge. There was limited items on the menu. There were only five entrees to choose from and 3 of them were red meat. The other two options were vegetarian but limited. For being a well known and respected hotel and restaurant you would think the menu would offer more choices, especially for people who are pollotarian or vegan/vegetarian. We ordered one appetizer (warm olives), one soup, one entree, one dessert and a bottle of wine for $230. The entree was tiny. The soup was delicious. The dessert could have been better. We felt rushed by the server. For the price, the food and value was not worth it. We could have gone to the Elora Mill’s sister location, The Cambridge Mill which offers a more extensive menu and better value.

    Valentine’s Day dinner. Sat at the bar. Arrived at 5pm when they opened for their Valentine’s Day dinner. Now, looking back at our original reservation which was made a few weeks back, the only seating available was at 8:45pm, so we chanced going in earlier to sit at the bar. Ultimately, restaurant was quite empty and there were tons of tables available. Sadly, there was only one vegetarian option, which was a cauliflower risotto. (Was almost a side dish served as a main course) Also ordered the braised short ribs, which was served extremely dry without sauce. It was recommended to us by waiter but did not live up to its expectation. Ambiance and location were fantastic, however all pictures outside were not pretty because of construction in the background, which is not restaurants fault. But, for such an upscale restaurant, expectation was much higher than what was experienced. Will most definitely not return to dine.

    Venue and atmosphere is beautiful (especially if you can get a window seat; we got one downstairs). Food was good but not great. Our server Isabel was incredible and she really made the evening quite the enjoyable experience for us!

    Make no mistake, this experience is about location. Views are spectacular. Our server Daniel was excellent. Sadly the food was mediocre and overpriced. Great for a special event but poor value for bacon and egg.
