   Total disaster, ruined my 'special' anniversary meal for my wife & I. Finally found the place in the Double Tree Hilton Hotel although no clue that this was where it was in the details. Got there to a very rude Barman who seemed quite pleased that the chef & staff had 'quit' & there would be no service that evening. Surely it would be polite to at least inform people their booking would have to be cancelled before we go to the trouble of dressing ourselves up & making the effort to arrive at the allotted time. Totally disgusted!

   they informed us on arrival that the restaurant was not open and wouldn't be for at least a week. they had no chef, staff or supplies. they did provide a very limited bar menu of Japanese food you could of gotten in Waitrose next door. I had researched and booked this hotel with the restaurant attached as I was travelling with a wheelchair and 2 dogs, It is almost impossible to find anywhere else to eat that is accessible for both

   Lovely meal, will definitely be back should we stay in the hotel again. Couldn't fault the food or the staff. Felt a little sorry for them as the table behind us did nothing but complain about every course.

   We booked a meal at this 4* restaurant as a special treat for ourselves as we just got married. On arrival to the restaurant there was no hostess in site to sit us at our table. After waiting 5 mins we got our own drink from the bar and the barman kindly seated us. He also had to take our orders as the waitress/hostess had still not appeared. The restaurant was not busy other than guests watching football on the TV at the far end of the restaurant. The TV was very loud and spoiled the ambience. It was drowning out the pleasant restaurant music so we had to ask for the volume to be turned down. We ordered steak but had to pay an extra £3 for the sauce. It was delivered to the table by the elusive waitress. Menu said it came with grilled tomato and mushrooms but it was only one mushroom and only half a tomato (see photo). However, the meal was delicious The manager sat with guests at TV end watching football occasionally coming down to restaurant end. He chatted with table of two ladies, leaning over on their table and then sitting. We are not snobby at all but t did not strike us as a 4* restaurant, particularly as we’re were expecting a high quality service, Howe, he barman was very friendly and helpful. After paying the bill we questioned it and it had service charge included so we asked for it to be removed. The quality of the ambience for the evening was definitely disturbed

    When I booked, I didn’t not realize it was a hotel restaurant, so at first I was a little skeptical. The staff at Emma’s gave the best service I have had in the UK. THE. BEST. SERVICE. The food was wonderful, the restaurant was quite, the wine was great, and the prices were not super inflated. Highly recommend.

    Downsides were that the bottle of white wine was put into a wine bucket but neither was the cap removed on the bottle nor the wine poured out to taste. Also, bearing in mind that our table booking was for 6.45pm, one of the 3 desserts was not available and there was no alternative.

    I had one of the worst dining experiences that I actually told reception and the manager. I booked and got there and was told just sit anywhere! No menu was given to me and the wait staff disappeared. I had to put my had up a few times and verbally ask if someone could please get me a menus. Then it was a wait to order which I didn't mind so much as they usually give time to decide. My meal came and it was very average huge pieces of smoked salmon just layed over the top of the Caesar Salad but it was ok. Unfortunately that was the last that I saw of any staff members. I was there for 8pm booking until 9.39 and no sign of anyone asking if I would like dessert or even the bill! I had to go walk to the bar and wait (no one there either) to pay. In hindsight I could have just walked out! As a solo traveller it makes me feel like I my custom is not wanted. I know taking a table for one means less money less ordered but it shouldn't be made this obvious that it's not ok to be single. I usually tip big but not this time. Will not be staying there again

    Convenient for hotel guests. Menu is limited, which is a bit of a shame and would benefit from some classic dishes. Breakfast in this restaurant is really good.

    I had a table for my birthday beautifuly set the food was great nice and tasty good value for money. They presented me with a glass of.champagne a card and some chocolate which was a nice surprise I enjoyed my drinks too at good prices

    The staff were friendly and nothing was to much, but I did order a Irish coffee which came wrong with the coffee grounds on top and the they forgot are starter. However They did remake the drink and by are choose out of the two options we had the starter with are main course. The food was good I love the salmon it was very crisp which I like.

    The pics online and menu wasn’t what we experienced. Table was out the back in a function room and then menu wasn’t what was online. We left after 5 mins. The staff were fine about it, they conceded that online was a bit of false sell.

    Very lovely restaurant. Loved the food and great service but a little on the pricier side. The view was great of the river though. The secret garden also looked very lovely so will be trying that next time.

    Visiting daughter at Uni for first time. Booked restaurant for 12.30 (through open table) as a nice treat before our walking tour at 2.30 pm. Arrived to see loads of rugby spectators and to then be told by hotel management “I have no idea how you have managed to circumvent the system as you should not have been able to book a table”.. We were told they would try to accommodate us after the rugby hospitality had completed. We were given menu. Staff were exceptionally busy. Waited ages at bar to be served for a drink to then be told they didn’t have the wine we wanted. Had coffee and water instead and they still got order wrong. Then no one came near us. It got to 1.15pm and we decided to leave as we could see we were unlikely to get any food. Found another restaurant but it impacted our walking tour. Felt very let down as it dampened the day we had planned with daughter. Would not re book through open table nor visit restaurant again.

    Visited midday for a light lunch with a friend. Quite quiet so not much atmosphere. Lovely staff. Showed us to a table overlooking the river. Both ordered avocado and mango salad with a side order of fries. Delicious.

    Steak meal was fine, however the avocado salad could do with some additional salad items such as tomato and cucumber. The three pieces of avocado, with half a small avocado and an over abundance of lettuce left us feeling quite dissatisfied with the meal and the price. Service was very good, but on this occasion the one salad meal left us not wanting a return visit

    Don't eat here, even if you are staying in the hotel. The food is not worth the money and the service is really poor. The starters for a table of 4 didn't all come out together and one of the deserts was missed and came out when everyone else had finished. This was travelogue quality and service for a 5 star price. Dont believe the online menu as a number of the items do not appear on the menu in the restaurant. So many better places in Bath to eat.

    Over priced. Had to ask for cutlery for the starter. Main meals were not as described on the menu. One meal was so hot (not mentioned on the menu) meals had to be swapped. 10% tip was automatically put on the bill! Not worth it at all.
