Awful service, 0 attentiveness from the servers and no input when we had questions on menu items. Manager totally realized this and gave us 2 free salads and a dessert while we were walking out so that was much appreciated. Such a shame because the pizza is truly awesome

Emmy’s was fine. The service was remarkably bad, I think because our server was also handling their to go orders. We sat down and ordered a drink & app, but the server literally did not come back for another hour to check in on us to get our entree order. Once we ordered our pizzas, one was great & the other a soupy mess on top. Overall, not worth the $100 tab

Had a great time with my girlfriend here. The Nashville hot sandwich was tasty with a little spiciness while the ange pizza had a great combination of flavors! We also had the Zia waffle fries which were fantastic!

Fun pizza combos and really attentive service. Both relatively traditional and non-traditional toppings. My favorite was the hot chicken pizza. I will be dreaming about it. Definitely a go-to.

We are loyal fans of Detroit style pizza. The Emmy squared version is very good and their modern take on sauces and toppings make it even better. Very nice service and great drinks too.

We were looking to get deep dish pizza and this fulfilled our needs. Food was great, service was a tad slow…we went late at night and it wasn’t busy so we weren’t expecting it to be slow but overall a good experience.

Disappointment… for the 4th time. My family has enjoyed Emmy in nyc so much and we’ve tried the Shaw, Navy Yard, and Alexandria locations all which have been a massive let downs. I will not be coming back to another Emmy squared again. My burger was barely cooked!! The staff didn’t seem to care that it wasn’t cooked at all. Whoever is managing or running the ships over there is terrible. Either close the doors or sharpen up. Shameful.

The ordering service was very confusing. We could order food via the QR code but had to order drinks through the server. But then you could not make modifications to food orders on the QR code. We had one persons food order arrive 10 minutes before another persons food arrive. And then the final two peoples food arrived 10 minutes after that. Additionally the drinks all came with the last persons food so the first two people finished their food before they got drinks. We like the food so will come back to give another chance, but service was bad

I had a really great experience, my order was wrong but the pizza was still really good. My server was attentive and it was surprisingly very quiet for a Sunday afternoon. Probably the best Detroit style pizza in DC.

go earlier on in the evening - if you go at 8:30 when we did every interaction was that the kitchen was closing, last call for the bar and then pushing you along. it would have been more relaxing for take away and the pizza was good but was only warm anyway eating there

Best pizza in the area. Ingredients are high quality and fresh. Menu isn't too large so they can focus on doing a few things really well. Carry out is good and the pizza is easily reheated in the oven. Love coming here and will be back.

Overall good experience. Shaw is hard to get to, but the vodka pizza was solid. We were are party of two in an empty dining area so there was no need for them to sit us at a tight table. Good decor.

The atmosphere inside was more bleak and 'lonely' feeling then before the pandemic. I understand seating restrictions, but there was no bartender, boxes piled up at the tables, and no background music. The restaurant could use an interior ambiance facelift.

Everything tasted incredible and the service was great. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Six of us ordered drinks and then split garlic sticks, a double order of zia fries, and three incredible pizzas. We left full and happy. We’ll definitely be back to eat in and take out! As a side note, we are all vaccinated and this was our first time in a restaurant in over a year. We were a bit nervous, but it all felt very safe. We really appreciated that the staff and customers were respectful and courteous with social distancing and wearing masks while not eating.

We were a group of 6 and ordered 3 pizzas and a loaded fries to share. Loved it all! The fries in particular were extremely delicious, with the bacon being particularly flavorful. We loved the style of the pizza and the crust texture (that crispy cheese is hard to top). The price point is also great. We all ordered a cocktail and our meal came out to under $25/person with tax and tip. A true rarity in DC! Our only complaint was noise level - we were at a booth with three people on each side and the people on the ends had a very difficult time hearing each other. I would probably stick to a smaller group if I were to go back.
