Exceptional food that would deserve even two Michelin stars. The pricing is in fact already set to that level as the restaurant is pricier than regular one star restaurants in Canada.

Excellent experience when celebrating a birthday! We tried Don Alfonso earlier this year, which was high quality, but the service at Enigma was another higher level. Enigma was the closest we've had in North America to some of our favourite meals while travelling Europe. My only complaint is that for a table of two, a 20% mandatory gratuity is excessive at any restaurant, but the high menu prices coupled with a high tip multiplier seem a bit over the top.

Enigma is a nice restaurant with a beautiful decoration and nice service. The food is extraordinary! Also the presentation and the combination of flavors. Our compliments to the chef, we will definitely recommend this restaurant. The only thing that we did not enjoy was how fast paced it was, specially once entering the restaurant there is no space to look at the menu and the sommelier was extremly pushy and not meeting our needs.

Amazing food and service at Enigma celebrating a friend’s birthday. The Polaroid was especially thoughtful to capture the moment even though the photo turned out to be fuzzy for some reason. Would definitely recommend and go back again in the future!

Wonderful time, very nice place, excellent food, excellent service without being pretentious or over doing it. Lots of nice little touches and details throughout the experience. Wine pairing was on point, 8 course was a perfect amount for us. Thanks again to the staff that served us at 8PM on Sept 15 party of 2 (we sat roughly in the middle).

A wonderful experience. Attentive service, great ambience. Food presentation, detail, flavours were outstanding. Wine pairing was wonderful, with the only downside being I can’t get those wine’s myself. Worthy of at least another Michelin star.

A truly exceptional dining encounter! The cozy atmosphere lent an air of intimacy that I adored. Eight course tasting menu was divine and the restaurant was gorgeous. You can tell the chef put so much detail and care into each course, excellent flavour. No issues with allergy accommodations and even with the substitutions each bite was as delicious as the next. Not one disappointing bite. Service was spectacular. Highly recommend for the experience.

My wife and l are retired and are fortunate to travel extensively. During our travels we always visit at least one Michelin star restaurant in each city. We tried Enigma and found it to be excellent in all respects. The food was beautifully served and a delight to experience. The creativity was outstanding and the wine pairing excellent I take my hat off to the chef and his staff, who were truly the finishing touches to a fantastic evening by being so open and hospitable. Hurry up and open a restaurant in Florida, our home state. Best wishes Peter and Jackie Richards

Food and service were good. We were definitely feeling full at the end of our Tasting menu. Do not be even 1 minute early to your reservation as you will not be allowed inside until exactly the time of your reservation. No chairs are available to wait from, either outside or inside. Also, we found it very hot inside the restaurant. I was wearing a t-shirt and pants and was sweating throughout the meal, which made the meal much less enjoyable.

This was an exquisite culinary experience. The tasting menu was excellent to say the least. Each course we thoroughly tasted to try and focus on the flavours, textures and freshness. We had the wine pairings and also really enjoyed the way the wine complimented and worked with each course. Being a tasting menu each course was so fresh. The scallops were perfect. The wagyu held its heat while still being moist, perfectly cooked and perfectly season. The halibut was off the charts. Perfectly cooked, the flavours, the visual presentation as well as the service description. Every course with every pairing was “our pleasure” to enjoy this chef and teams hard work and the countless hours they spent to create such a high calibur tasting menu. Enigma yorkville *cheers

Our party of two celebrated a birthday at Enigma and it delivered beyond our expectations. We selected the 8 course tasting menu with wine pairings. The food was sensational, exquisitely presented and the wines thoughtfully selected. Service was second to none, including birthday wishes by each one of the team (shout-outs to Maxime, David, Yulia who were attentive and knowledgeable when answering our questions about the meal). We also appreciated the opportunity to congratulate Chef Quinton personally on his innovative menu when he came to our table at the end of the meal. To commemorate this special occasion, we were surprised and delighted to receive on our way out some delicious parting treats to enjoy at home, as well as a printed copy of our entire tasting menu (including the wine selections), that helped us recall the experience in detail. For a memorable special occasion dinner, I HIGHLY recommend Enigma and will be returning again in the future.

Food was very mediocre. Not worth the price at all. All the sauces felt too heavy in cream base and too strong that it masked the flavor of the food completely. Fish was not fresh. Do not waste your money there.

I went for 6 course with non-alcoholic drink paring. Amazing food, great service. All courses I ate were fabulous. I just dint quite understood the last course with raddish - the flavours were confusing. And I dint quite like the earl grey maple syrup non-alcoholic drink. But everything else was spectacular.

I don't like to trash a restaurant but I want to warn others to temper expectations for this place. I came here years ago for my birthday and it was incredible - the food was magical, the staff were attentive but not in your face, the chef came to the table to say hello and happy birthday and he made an extra birthday dessert for me which was incredibly delicious and my favourite strawberry flavour. This was before they got a Michelin star so I was excited to take my sister and my mom here for my sister's birthday, hoping to give her the same magical experience and this place has definitely gone downhill. I called ahead and booked on OpenTable, specifying that it was a birthday celebration for my sister who was visiting from out of town and was excited to go because of how much I loved my birthday dinner. They acknowledged the birthday and even mentioned it when we first got to the venue. The food was good but not as good as my birthday. The service was okay, it didn't feel as co ordinated as before and when I asked about the birthday dessert, I was told that they didn't do that anymore but would give us a printed menu with happy birthday on it. We had not finished our petit fours and wanted them packed but no one told us where to get them so I asked a man who I know believe is the restaurant manager, David, where we'd get our dessert and he said to pick them up out front. I asked him if we'd get the birthday menu and when they'd discontinued the birthday dessert and he got visibly hostile and asked rudely "didn't you get a glass of champagne for the birthday?" and I said, no we didn't, and he just kept repeating we should have and did we want it now, like we came here for the free champagne!? He ruined our night, made us feel awkward and uncomfortable and we left as quickly as we could. I can’t believe this treatment is at a Michelin star restaurant. TLDR: condescending restaurant manager ruined my sister’s almost 1000.00 birthday experience. Save your money.

We went for our 25th wedding anniversary and specifically said that there were 2 allergies and it took a phone call plus explaining at the entrance what those were only for tomatoes (which contain seeds) to be served to the one person that had the allergy. In addition my substitutions of seafood/fish was basically a root vegetable with little or no flavour and a fennel doused in some cream that I couldn’t even taste the fennel (which I love). We didn’t even get an acknowledgment that it was a milestone anniversary and considering we did the wine pairing and truffle add ons we certainly were not shy of investing in the experience. It was our second time at enigma and this was underwhelming. More emphasis on the food rather than the show would be welcome
