Enigma is an intimate modern European fine dining restaurant located in the heart of Toronto’s historic Yorkville neighbourhood, nestled on picturesque St. Thomas Street and surrounded by mid-century and modern architecture. We celebrate the best of local and international ingredients, treating them with respect and elevating integrity above all else, by serving a seasonal evolving evening tasting menu.
No need to worry about parking - our valet is available Wednesday - Sunday at a cost of $25 per vehicle.
We have a strict No -Cancellation Policy, however you can reschedule once only with a 24 hours prior your reservation, thereafter charges will apply at $100 per guest.
We are not a child friendly restaurant, only serve children over the age of 10.

    An amazing fine dining experience in the heart of Yorkville. My wife and I loved the level of service and the added touches that all the staff put into the experience, not to mention having the head chef partake in some of the food dish explanations.

    Incredible food and service. Truly made the tasting menu a journey. Loved the wine pairings and the interesting mix of Easter and Western cuisine styles and flavours. Certainly not inexpensive but thoroughly enjoyable.

    Toronto’s finest restaurant Enigma Yorkville, brilliant chef Quinton Bennett and his team, the best superb friendly staff are the true stars, subtle food flavors, unmatched in quality anywhere! A foodie heaven evening dreams are made of! My guest was a senior with mobility issues, and all the staff were beyond lovely. Yash, a favorite young chef, came out to greet us. My only wish is that they not ‘spiff’ - too numerous to count attempts to upsell pricy add-ons that would easily have made Toronto’s already most expensive dinner for two move easily from over $600 + to well over a $1,000 + dinner. It is not elegant, and creates low class ‘do you want fries with that’ moments of decision tension for their guests, making the dining host feel cheap to their guest. It makes the owners appear that for them it’s all about the money, casts a huge shadow on an otherwise perfect evening. Left a huge bad taste in my mouth.

    If you are looking for a culinary adventure or experience that is second to none look no further. From the moment you are welcomed to the time you have finished your culinary journey one thing will become quite evident Small details make huge differences!!! This is one of the Top Restaurants in Canada for sure and is a Michelin Star experience. The Service was impeccable!!!!

    I rarely leave reviews but Enigma is truly an experience. It’s hard to replicate excellence but I’ve Dined twice and no other restaurant offers an experience that comes close. I have dined at many of the high end and Michelin star restaurants in Canada and in Europe and Asia, Enigma ranks up there with the best of them. Every aspect of the dining experience was impeccable from the reservation planning to the food and service to leaving the restaurant.

    I had an amazing experience at Engima. I sat at the Chef's Table which I highly recommend as you get to interact with the Enigma Team and see all the food and drinks as they are prepared. The food is innovative and tasty. I also recommend getting the Cocktail Pairing as the cocktails are all fantastic. The Enigma Team are all friendly and will make sure you have a great time. Enigma is a wonderful dining experience!

    AMAZING! Everything was simply amazing! We’ve been to Alo a few times and loved it but this place is even better! They are able to substitute for seafood allergies which was so appreciated! Can’t wait to go back!

    Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely small restaurant in Toronto. The service is unmatched, all the staff truly cares about your experience. The food was absolutely amazing, the level of flavours and presentation is definitely Michelin - everything we tasted melted in our mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had in a while. The cocktail and premium wine pairings were perfect! Well done Enigma! We will be back for the new tasting menu.

    I really wanted to like this restaurant because of its high-end status, but the value isn't there. The #1 concern I had was their transparency with the experience and the price. While you think you're paying $250/pp for the meal, there is the additional cost of cocktail or wine pairing, and all of the other "add ons" when they come around with truffles and caviar to your table. Maybe if you're a more seasoned foodie, you'll get the clues, but we felt this experience was all about upselling and adding on than anything else. The experience is more about how much staff can sell & add to your bill than a focus on food. The food is a guise for upselling. I did address this with Engima privately, but the experience and the response left me with such a bad taste, I can't shake off what a waste of $$ this was.

    Without any hesitation of doubt this has to be one of the best dining experiences that I have ever had. I was looking for a restaurant that was new and offered a variation of taste pallets. Enigma, not only met, but exceeded by far all my expectations. Quentin and his team are truly hospitable, from the moment the valet greeted us to the moment we left the restaurant, they all made us feel at home. The birthday surprise ended up being one of the most memorable occasions ever. Thank you so much, we will be back

    On par or above some Michelin Star restaurants I've dined at. Went for the cocktail parings, caviar and shaved truffles for my wife's milestone birthday on a Sunday evening. Service was impeccable, in the top 3 meals I've ever had in Toronto. If Michellin every makes its way to Toronto, I'm sure they'll be stopping by.
