   We dined here for brunch yesterday and would definitely return but I would prefer if there was the regular eggs Benedict, my favourite, as well on the menu since the crab cake Benedict was a bit underwhelming for me. The crab cake had too much filler and then the biscuit below was good but too much for my taste and the hollandaise sauce wasn't as lemony as I prefer. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their breakfast skillets and pancakes, all fresh and good portion sizes for the price. I would really like to try some of the other items on the menu since it's a Creole restaurant and the service staff seemed very nice.

   Went to try this restaurant for Downtown Dinning Week. We were really pleased with the food, appys were great especially the ribs. Entrees were very large. Not sure if there was not enough staff only saw 2 waitresses for the entire restaurant. No manager in sight. Had to ask to have dishes removed after we stacked them off to the side. Waitress didn't seem to have a clue about serving. Didn't charge for 2 of the drinks, we told her about this. Also as St Patrick's, first beer was green but none after even when our friends arrived and ordered theirs. Parking also crazy lot right beside was $25 one adjoining was $12 but we were not aware of that. Maybe prices on parking should be adjusted for evenings in these lots that would be something to consider or at least mention that on the web site.

    Food and service was excellent! Waitress was very friendly. We are not fans of hip pop and loud music and at Envie they played our music which was the Blues at the right volume as well. We wil go back for sure!

    Food was great, portions were fantastic, they were out of salmon, the bananas foster and were in the process of making the beignets. These were the three things that we had asked for and they were out of.

    Awesome place!!! We went for family gathering and a birthday celebration but didn't let them know, they sort of overheard us as the restaurant was pretty quiet on a Sunday afternoon, confirmed that someone at the table had a birthday and treated us with a cheesecake bites that we had hard time polishing off after we had an awesome late lunch there. The food was really good. We had a variety of menu items, all of them exceptionally well presented. We all agreed that we'll be back!!

    Very nice place! Went for a special dinner (birthday and had an enjoyable time. Nice server & good food. Decided to try this place because it was in the nearby neighbourhood and wasn't disappointed, it is a hidden treasure :)

    I ordered the étouffée and it was delicious. The accompanying rice was under-seasoned, as were two other dishes at the table, and with steakhouse prices for entrees I would have expected that an easy fix like that wouldn’t have been missed. The crab beignets were delicious but I’m not sure they deliver on their premise. More of a “beefed-up” crab cake than anything. Still, the butter and fruit sauce they were served with was divine. The bananas foster was also delicious. The ancho cocktail was great, but the blackberry tea cocktail I think could used a bit longer to steep. The ambiance is great, and our server was pleasant if a little distracted by the other servers she was training. The kitchen was also a tad slow given we were only one of the two tables with diners at the time. Lots of potential, and a great premise, but the prices and the easy misses won’t see me back for a while. Still, I’d recommend trying it out. The po’boys sounded delicious and the plate-to-price ratio might be a bit better balanced for them and other items on the menu.

    First time at Envie. We enjoyed ourselves. We were greeted and seated quickly. The server came over and took our drink order right away. We started with the gumbo and vegan salad. Both were excellent. I would highly recommend. We moved on to cornbread (a little disappointing for a southern restaurant), cherry cola ribs (outstanding), eggplant (too thin, but the cornmeal breading was interesting), mussels (great flavour, but could have used a little more sauce), and shrimp po’boy (which was very tasty). We finished with the pecan tart. It was more cake than butter tart, which was different. We enjoyed it being less sweet. Would definitely recommend giving them a try. We will be back for sure.

    We went there for lunch and the restaurant wasn't very busy. Shame. The food was excellent! There were 5 in our party, and everyone really enjoyed their meals. I also had a white wine sangria, which was delicious. You also have to make sure to try their desserts. The bread pudding is to die for! Our server was also really great! She was super attentive and extremely helpful. We intend to go back again soon.

    Our server was Ella and she was exceptional!! We picked this restaurant after attending a Stars On Ice Event at Rogers Place that our daughter had bought for us for Christmas. We started with Captain Cooks Coconut Shrimp and they were huge shrimp perfectly coated. Delicious! My wife ordered the Shrimp Po' Boy and I ordered the Cherry Cola BBQ Ribs. My wife said the Po' Boy was very good and my Cherry Cola ribs were incredible and the 5 to 6 inch long , THICK Sweet Potato Fries were perfectly crispy outside and soft and tender inside. We will definitely be back!!! Highly recommend !!

    Calamari was delicious would definitely have it again, was not a fan of the ribs but that was me. Next time I would try the chicken and waffles. My family had jambalaya and they liked it my brother who is super picky said it could have used more authentic cajun flavor but my mom disagreed. Overall really good.

    Fantastic and delicious meal. If any complaints my husband's meal was cold but server and owner rectified quickly. Clean and pleasant restaurant! Great experience! Will totally go back to taste the dinner menu.
